I ordered a steak, egg and cheese bagel with an unsweet tea and the older woman working at the window, handing out the food and drinks. Try to give me the wrong food and drink. I told her what I had and she handed me a tea. It was not unsweet. It was sweet tea. She said thank you and walked away and I said hey and she got all mad thinking I was yelling at her, but I paid eight dollars for a steak, egg and cheese bagel and didn't get it.. she went to go get the bagel complaining that I yelled at her and when she handed me my food, she said don't yell at me anymore. I said have a good day. She said don't yell at me and the black manager she had iPhone earbuds in her ears and didn't hear the conversation started yelling at me from inside the restaurant also. whoever owns this McDonald's needs to train their employees how to respect the customer and give a proper training to people working in the windows. read more

At first I thought it was a fly but after not seeing it ever fly away I'm positive that had to be a ROACH...... When I told him I was one cup short he took the cup and turned it upside down placed it on the counter and walked away when I asked him to come back to question him why he put the cup upside down on the counter he refused and asked his buddy to give me a cup which he did. Asked for a food item, got to the window and was told they didn't have it. I said okay, (didn't think i would need to say to take it off my receipt). Went to next window to get my food and they charged me for it and then proceeded to tell me that they gave me the money back but I had the receipt to show that they still still charged me and we just were fighting through the window. Have had problems with the McDonald's before and will not be back again. read more

Drive thru was extremely long, thought that they'd be busy fulfilling orders which is understandable but there was no communication what so ever ... pull around to the parking lot driving past the window a young girl was leaning comfortably on the window not doing a thing. Going in to get food, watching employees playing around managers not saying nothing... workers constantly kept asking if I'd ordered and didn't even pack our order until it was ready. It wasn't until the boss came over to get my food to me. It's disappointing because although everyone was being watched knew they were being watched ... management didn't say anything to their team ... The food is good. However, every time we go in, the order is wrong or something is missing. On our most recent trip, we got the wrong order Several times. By the time we realized it was wrong the second time, we just gave up. The staff is almost always rude or have bad attitudes. The lines are ridiculously long and there is not nearly enough staff. When we went for breakfast once, they switched the menu to lunch AFTER we had waited for an hour (right when it opened). There needs to be either more staff or better management. Worse customer service I have ever experienced. Manager wouldn't even give my her name. After screwing up my order, they decided to short pour my Frappe. When I asked them about it they said they would make me another one if I waited. I'm on my way to work and can't wait another 10 minutes for them. So, I took what they gave me and told them I wouldn't be back, ever! The manager told me that I was rude and that I shouldn't return. Terrible terrible terrible!!!!! The service was awful. It's a bunch of untrained teenagers that have no idea what customer service is. They are rude, untrained and unprofessional. Every time I have gone here they screw up my order. They asked us to pull forward when we order 1 sandwich and a shamrock shake.. and when we said we didn't want to pull forward because that's all we ordered and if we pull forward it was gonna take them twice as long to get our food they argued saying oh it's only gonna take two mins. Okay so logically if it will take two mins why do I need to move forward? It was just terrible terrible service and a complete joke. The staff at this place are untrained and lazy. It shouldn't take 20 minutes to get coffee and a sandwich with no one in front of me. The kid at the counter couldn't make change without help and didn't know the difference between decaf and reg coffee. I literally just waited an hour for my food in the drive threw and I was first in line...ended up having to go inside and give them my receipt so they could make my food cause they forgot my order...and as I was waiting 2 other people in the drive threw line came in for a refund...so just drive the extra 10 mins to goshen or across town. Twice in one weekend! First Friday night on way to drive in movies we had a few families going so we decided to pick up three family meals and eight sodas. I go into the Nappanee Street store and they refused to take my order at the counter,the girl just kept pointing at the computer kiosk. We waited until we got to Plymouth they were more than happy to take our order. Then on Sunday afternoon, yes I do know better but what we will not do for our grand kids right? Pull up to drive through as all the McD's in Elkhart are owned by the same people I refused to order on a computer. I get acknowledged by a computer then place my order.......nothing.......placed it again......nothing! Pull up to first window she ask for my order. They only had one headset but left both drive thru lanes open. Then of course they park me as I knew they would because I had sat there for ten minutes watching all the cars ahead of me get parked. And watched as half of them had to go in anyway to receive the rest of their order or the correct items. I ask for the manager on duty's name at the second window and it took three people to answer me he came to window gave me his name Duwayne he has worked for this company for years. I would call their corporate office which is the same store but they could care less. All these stores care about is hitting that serve button in the drive thru! They use to take your order and shove you into an area with everyone else and make you stand there and wait for ever while you make your own drinks. I have counted as many as twelve people behind their counters and half standing still or on their phones or talking to each other. Stay away from any Elkhart, Middlebury, or Bristol McDonalds as they are all owned by the same people and service at all of them is lousy! Not even for my grands will I go to any of them again. Although the one in Plymouth was very very nice clean hot food and got our entire order correct the first time. NO STARS!!!!!!!! I am usually not one to write a review for a fast food place because well... it's fast food and it is what it is. This morning's little visit to the Main Street McDonald's was most regrettable. It started off with close to 8 minute wait at the order kiosk outside and then 5 minutes of the attendant inside mumbling about putting in her password and then loud tapping noises, then her mumbling again because she had a bad morning. Then I proceeded to give her my order after she says no greeting except "go ahead" and it took 3 times to tell her what I wanted, a bacon and cheese mcgriddle and 2 hash browns. She then snapped at me saying you mean a "bacon egg and cheese mcgriddle". I said a number 6 with no egg and 2 hash browns. She then again repeated you mean a "bacon egg and cheese mcgriddle" and a hash brown. On the third frustrating attempt I told her just a number 6 with NO egg on it and 2 hash browns. Finally she understood what I meant as I watched it roll across the screen. I pulled around to window 1 to pay for it and I gave the attendant a $10.00 bill for a 5.80 tab and about a year and a half later I received my change back with a "pull forward" from the lady. No receipt, just change. Then I pulled up to window 2 and the attendant basically tossed the bag out the window into my lap and closed the window again. I was like" what the hell?" I pulled out glad to be done with the whole experience of this place. As I got back on the road I noticed I had 1 hash brown and my mcgriddle was egg and cheese only no bacon. What a horrible place. I will be writing to their corp headquarters to inform them that if this location represents their chain I will gladly give up any and ALL McDonald's food for the remainder of my life. They need to step in and take control of this location immediately. read more
