a glass of beer on a coaster

We have been here a couple times. We sat outside on the patio this last time. The service is good here. The beer is pretty ok. There's plenty of seating inside and at a bar along with the patio we sat on. A very chill place to hang out and have a beer. Cheers!

Excellent beer, great food and stellar service! Hubby had the Ice Delay, blue carumba, which was quite interesting. It's a beautiful shade of blue, and it's GF. I had Better Days, the raspberry wheat. Always great! For dinner, hubby had the grilled Italian sandwich which he said was great. I had the chicken tacos which come as a pair with salsa. Generous servings I thought. One was plenty! If you haven't been here, make it a point to do so!

Very casual and relaxing. The beer selection was outstanding the dark beer was full of flavor and smooth in taste

We had the nachos and a 4 slice pizza along with two beers. The service was nice and ambiance as well nice. And, the beer was alright. The beer gets a 4 out of 5 stars and the food a 3.5 out of 5. It's a brewery so truly what more could you want - it's basic food.

Absolutely the best craft beer in Northern Indiana and possibly in ALL of Indiana. Treat yourself to this hidden gem next time in the area and thank me later. Aaron and Audrey are some of the most down to earth caring people we've met (and no I'm not getting paid for this review although I should be) .

We couldn't wait for Westwind to open and have been following their opening status on FB for sometime. We went on opening day and we were happy to see the place was packed! Not being familiar yet with their beers we each ordered something different, their Primis IPA and the Truckee Porter. If you're an IPA fan you won't be disappointed, good flavor, similar ABV to Iechyd Da's Revolution. The Porter was smooth, good flavor. Not a lot of depth of flavor but easy to drink more than one. Also the Sacrifice was an American Ale, and my favorite. Slight hops, slightly sweet, and smooth. We didn't order any of the food from the kitchen but we saw several sandwiches come out and looked and smelled great. It's always good to see a new local brewpub open in the area. Westwind checks off all the boxes-great service, friendly staff & knowledgeable about their beer, fun atmosphere, good location, and tasty beer from the start. Gave 4 stars because they have just a few kinks to workout (which I know they will) ordering and paying was backed up and could run smoother.

Great beer! I talked to the owners, and I feel like they really take a lot of pride in getting good quality beer. I believe the goal is to get to 8 taps, they had 7 when I was there and all of them were above average to great. They run a nice variety but their Stout and the IPA were my favorites There is not a lot a food, but they do a great Cuban sandwich and a lot of thinking and research went into it...... and some specialty potato chips all the way from Detroit. They do offer other snack items and sandwiches, but those are the two that stood out to me. All the owners are Family Guys, so the hours will be limited to Friday Saturday and Sunday, but they seem to have a good business model and put a lot of thought and care I to everything before they actually do it. They also have plenty of room to expand or for outside activities or festivals, so it'll be fun to see how things progress. Definitely a nice atmosphere, and a fun Brewery to hang out.

Hands down the best sandwich and beer in the area! We will make this a staple in our weekend! The service was on point and the staff went above and beyond to make our experience exceptional!

On the good side, service was good, servers were friendly, tried to be helpful, food came out quickly. I found their system confusing though, as you didn't have one server, they all stopped at the table at various times. Food was disappointing. Wife had the Reuben sandwich. Reuben should be corned beef, what she had was NOT corned beef, it looked like roast beef, she said it tasted like leftover prime rib from last night. The fries were good though. I had angel hair pasta shrimp scampi. The shrimp was good, properly cooked without being rubbery, good flavor. The angel hair was badly overcooked, clumpy, mushy. Angel hair is easy to overcook, because it's so thin, but if you are going to offer it on the menu, the cooks need to know how to keep an eye on it. The worst part was the noise/music/DJ. It was so horribly loud, we could not talk. The next table were screaming at each other to be heard. We asked the servers, twice, to turn it down. The first said it was some sort of event, the DJ was running it, and they couldn't change it. The second said she would ask the manager, and I saw her walk up the the manager, talk to him, and saw him shake his head. I opened up the decibel meter on my phone, and it recorded an average of 87 decibels, with a peak of 90 decibels. Equivalent to a large lawn mower. Hearing protection recommended for extended exposure. In retrospect, we should have left when they first said no. We did see another couple who did leave. I would have given 1 star, but because we've had good experience in the past, I'll average it as a 2 star.

I expect more than being visited twice in nearly 30 minutes and only getting the response of "I don't know" and "I'm not sure" I left after taking two sips of my beer, and was chased out by some manager who FINALLY acknowledged us, only trying to get paid for the single ounce of beer that I consumed, as well as two sips of (warm)unsweetened tea that my grandmother had. It's not often I leave without paying, but if you're not going to acknowledge me and cant be at least a decent host, I'll just be on my way before i get too far in. When you charge $20 for a burger, I would think the service is matching that level of quality. Yes I would like a follow up, too. Because if you got my grandma following me in agreement, there's an issue. Really disappointing, probably won't make the stops like I used to. Place appears to need some quality help.
