The drive thru here is always ridiculous, I've regretted my decision every time I don't park and just walk in. They've screwed up both food and drink orders before, and the service can get pretty slow even on the inside. read more

This was one of the most frustrating McDonald's experiences I've had. We ordered three Happy Meals with extra fries, and each Happy Meal came with an apple bag that literally had **one apple slice** in it. We also ordered a large fry that was completely missing from our order. To make things worse, we didn't order any drinks, but we were charged for a **large water with each Happy Meal**. When we went inside to get everything corrected, we were met with nothing but attitude from the employees instead of an apology. The interaction that really stood out was when we asked to add a pack of cookies. The employee taking our order sighed, rolled her eyes, and said, *"Well, I guess."* Customer service shouldn't make customers feel like they're an inconvenience for ordering food. We then offered for them to keep the change and were met with yet another eye roll and a "Um... Okay I guess." Mistakes happen, and that's understandable. The real issue was the lack of professionalism and the poor attitude when we tried to get the order fixed. I hope management addresses both the accuracy of orders and the way customers are treated. read more

First time coming here and both burgers were incorrect. Double check your order before pulling off! Took our order back in to get it corrected and it was incorrect a second time. 3rd time is the charm with this McDonalds. read more

Everytime I order a large iced caramel coffee I never know what I am going to get. It's either made completely wrong and taste like sewer water or it's overly sweet and too much creamer. I don't understand how every single time it's made so different. It's like playing roulette. Every other restaurant can make their coffees consistently... why can't you ?? read more

This was place was horrible, we had the simplest of orders and we were there 28 minutes and had to leave because we ran out of time. The slowest McDonald's I have ever been to EVER! Highly upset with this, the team was moving slow. I ordered at 7:26am and watched MULTIPLE orders go through drive through and get theirs before me. I personally waited over 18 minutes and didn't even receive it due to me having to leave. read more

Hey, It's a McDonald's. It is a little odd since it is connected to the Gas Mart Convenient Store. It's also one of the few "restaurants" in Elgin, so the drive-thru line is always LONG. Recommend going inside for faster service. read more

This place is disgusting and always seems to mess up orders. I went through the drive-thru for a medium caramel macchiato and one sausage mcgriddle, there were people ahead of me who ended up having their order messed up so they just sat there going back and forth - digging through different bags of food, one of them being mine. They didn't even give me it fresh, after my stuff had been inside the person's vehicle for a few minutes i would hope they would, i don't know what they did to my food or if they took a sip out of my drink, which was also not a medium or a caramel macchiato, but instead a small caramel frappe. I do not know how these people are still in business here, it baffles me. read more

Good service. Typical satellite McDonald's location. Ask for your food cooked fresh and it's awesome. Watch out for the nuggets later at night...chicken jerky unless they cook them fresh. Otherwise a good McDonald's in general. read more

I waited over eight minutes in the drive thru line for a small fry. When I received the fries they were cold and the wrong size. I took them back into the store and after standing there for several minutes as the three employees kept walking past me, I had to interupt the conversation the two gentlemen were having in order to ask for a manager. When she can up she was on the phone and asked what she could do for me. I explained the issue to her. She never once apologized. Instead her response was simply "Well, I have water spraying everywhere in the back and new people on tonight," and turned around while walking away she asked an employee to get me a new fry. I was then handed a bag fry again. I explained that I wanted a small fry, and that was what was on the receipt. I asked the employee if the bag fry was a dollar. She told me it was. I then explained that I was charged $1.19 for a small fry not $1.00 for a bag fry. She told me "yea, but there is tax." I told her "I agree, that was the $0.09 at the bottom and why the total was $1.28." She continued to tell disagree with me even after looking at the receipt. Finally I just took the cold bag fry that I over paid for and left. read more

This place is absolutely filthy every time I walk in and the staff is even more appalling. No manners, no respect, always busy talking to one another and not paying attention to the customers when they approach the register. I have so many complaints to say about this horrible place and even when I try to avoid it, I hate that it's one of the only places that's open on my way home from work late at night. I love mcdonald's but this has got to be the most nastiest ones of them all and that's both service and appearance. My daughter worked there this past year and was fired because she didn't agree with the staff smoking pot behind the dumpsters. When she went to report it, the assistant manager kept putting in complaint after complaint against her until my daughter was fired. There needs to be better management, stricter drug tests, and someone who actually gives a damn about how that place treats this community. It's like a tight knit twat highschool hen house going on in there! The District AND Regional management offices have been contacted after my 5 complaints to the actual restaurant weren't even looked at... and it took me telling the Regional office that if nothing was done about Elgin's management I would personally write my congressman to get some sort of action moving on this ridiculously shameful franchise location! read more

Most nasty, dirty, disgusting, McDonalds I have ever been in! Traveling through from Ft Sill and stopped with my family to eat about 8 PM on 07-17-2015. First, three staff were outside smoking right in front of the door and one of the ladies blew a hugh puff of exhaled smoke right in our faces as we walked in the door! We placed our order and the young man stopped to text on his phone twice while punching in the order. ALL the tables were filthy and the floor had not been swept. We asked the same texting young man if they could get someone to wipe the tables and he looked like he was lost. He told a woman "they want us to clean the tables", and she said it will be a minute, and never did even attempt to wipe a table! THEN we got our order and three items were totally wrong! (could have been the texting?) We had children with us and they were hungry or we would have asked them to make it over. There were at least 8 staff members at this tiny restaurant so no excuse for lazy, rude staff and dirty store! As we left the SAME young woman treated us to more cigarette smoke right next to the door as we walked out! My son did leave a hand written note to the store before we left here regarding the service/store. Horrible! DO NOT STOP there! read more
