We stopped in here to get a burger as we were told. They were really good. We had to wait a few minutes, but no big deal. We sat up at the bar and were immediately met in our order was taken. The burgers came out quick and so did the large fry we got. Let me tell you this burger was one of the best I have ever had. We had them add bacon to add to the taste. The service was excellent. About a 16 seat, elbow-to elbow bar...as classic as it can Oklahoma. Benchseat waiting and "patio seating" available outdoors off Main Street, perfect after sunset. Great service team. Food is literally cooked in front of you. I messed up by not getting a handmade milkshake. Definitely a stop you need to make off I-44...and you can stop to see famous the leg lamp from A Christmas Story. Such a great visit and super-good food! read more

What a blast from the past! J&W Grill was a name I had never heard of when my son's Cross country team competed in Chickasha this week, but after walking in, I was transported back decades to the snug little diners of days gone by. The place was packed, with every bar stool taken, and the team of runners I brought in just packed the place even more. The staff was moving at the speed of light, calling out orders, and whipping out fantastic burgers and shakes, and baskets of fries the size of a mountain. Greeted upon entry. All seats are at the bar and grill. All food is made in front of you. The portions are big especially the French fries. I am not an onion fan but I had to try the onion cheeseburger because it is one of their popular items. The onions are cut into thin strips and are grilled to tenderness. It's a good burger. The small order of fries are served as a tall pile in a basket and there were so many that two of us still couldn't finish it. I can't wait to try their tater tots. We tried the chili cheese hot dog. It was served hot and was good. The actual hot dog is kind of small but it was still good. And although everything was good and tasty, the best part was the price-$12.00 for two of us. Very juicy onion burger. They have 3 sizes. I had the medium one and it was extremely filling. I wouldn't advise that size unless you are hungry. My husband had the largest which is a 1/2lb and is huge. We were traveling and we had to stop and he ate his outside it was so messy! But oh so good! Fries are homemade and yummy too! Very limited seating at barstools only. A couple tables outside and that's it! read more

Do NOT get a small single patty burger, go for a double at least bc those things are freaking delicious and you'll want more. I ended up having to order two because the small single wasn't nearly enough. Also they give you a TON of fries. My only qualm is that they use store bought ranch (the literally just give you the bottle lol) real homemade ranch would have made everything much better. Greated as I walked in. Served a beverage within seconds of sitting at the counter! Wowed by the service right off the start! My hunger ways got ahold of my decision making and I looked at the menu board and mumbled something that made sense to the server..."Double cheeseburger small add bacon and grilled onions" with a small side of fries...coming right up sir. The service was top notch. The flavors of the burger ...life changing. The fries were piping hot ... in hindsight I should have stayed with a single Patty burger with bacon and onions.This place knows how to get someone's hunger taken care of. This is one of those soda shop type of restaurants, it serves a small crowd and there's limited seating at the counter. I got two Coney dogs with all the works. When she told me it came with slaw I was super intrigued since I love to experience new things. The slaw is not something I care for but the rest was good, and I got tots, which were hot and fresh! Warning, it's very warm inside so you'll work up a sweat quickly unless you do takeout. read more

Went there for the first time. Service was great and that is why they get 2 stars. The wait staff was friendly and on top on everything. Filling drinks and making sure you were taken care of. Food was not so good. My burger was burnt so bad it tasted like charcoal. I like a thin burger with some crunch lace but this was black and burnt. Secondly the food cooks did not use gloves at all. Grill Cook touching the buns when when putting them on and taking them off the grill after touching raw meat and his hat. The prep cook had no gloves either touching tomatoes, lettuce and buns as he peeped the plates and sandwiches. There is no hand sink in sight so I don't even know if they ever washed their hands ever. For your health I suggest not trying this place. read more

So excited that we found this little burger shack. The workers and customers are super friendly and very helpful. So I ordered a cheeseburger all the way (this means lettuce and tomato as well as the onions and pickle that come standard). They put a ball of meat down and cover it in shredded onions.
