Came to Chickasha for the spring sale at Ross Seed. Stopped into Savoy for lunch. Great looking building, large windows that were open for a great spring atmosphere. Unfortunately the food was a big disappointment. Two of us order sandwiches, that were cold (asked for toasted/grilled) that were terrible. Neither of us even ate half. Ambiance is nice an cozy. Kinda a 30's feel Service was excellent, attentive. Food barbq their specialty. What I saw looked Tempting, but opted for a deli sandwich. You build to order. This place has been open for a long time and is currently under new management. Please ignore the prior bad reviews and I encourage those who left bad reviews to give it another try as the new owners have significantly improved the food. The Ambiance is quaint with early 20th century pieces scattered about and a copper ceiling. We started with the fried pickles spears which were hand-breaded, not to juicy where the breading falls of when you eat them, and very good dill flavor with the herbed breading. The onion rings were also hand breaded, crunchy, and delicous. The in-house made pastrami is very good, the brisket had great flavor and a nice smoke ring, the 1 lb loaded baked potato was very filling and the toppings were plenty. As always salt everything to your taste. The BBQ sauce on the table was sweet smokey and tangy. You have to ask for spicy BBQ which they add the heat to the house sauce and bring it to the table. BBQ business is hard enough and trying to overcome the ineptness of prior owners and managers difficult. This place is worth the stop and head across the street to take your picture with the large leg lamp afterwards before the city is forced to remove it. Saw this on a Facebook post. We drove from OKC just to piddle and try new place. Beautiful area and cool atmosphere. Lots of history. Service and girls working are great. Jordon Kept checking on us. Waitress great too. We ordered ribs, with Coleslaw and loaded potatoes. Then Tri tip sandwich with baked beans and a slice of cornbread. We needed bbq sauce but when brought to us we noticed grease halfway down little container. Stirred but no change. A sandwich without sauce is bland. This spoiled the whole meal. Ribs without sauce were seasoned well but not much meat on them. Cornbread very dense, heavy and not sweet. Beans had a strong Flavor of something...vinegar? Not sure but not to my liking at all. BBQ is always expensive but really bad when you don't enjoy it. We took home to add our own bbq sauce. So stick to Deli sandwiches . Sorry but new management needs some attention. read more

For the price it wasn't worth it. Didn't realize how small it would be. But it had great flavor and it was nice and tender. The service was ok. The ambiance was beautiful but was empty, we were the only ones there hmmmm. Quiet lil town. There was a giant boot lamp! Don't understand it. Food was unable to order because the waitstaff is slooooooooow Service is incredibly slooooooooow. Kitchen staff were dirty. Ambiance is interesting and sloooooow. Giving them a one star because no star isn't an option. They struggled even ringing my bill up for two (2) drinks we eventually managed to get them to bring us. Very frustrating experience. Had high hopes. But the staff sunk them. * So teach waitstaff to wait on customers in at least a moderately reasonable time. * Make your kitchen staff change shirts a couple times a week. read more

Food was great! Jalapeño poppers, brisket, tri tip, okra and homemade macaroni and cheese. Lots of options for different sized plates. All was fresh and flavorful. Banana pudding was yummy to finish the experience. Service was welcoming and timely. Owner came to check on us and shared his passion for the restaurant and us enjoying our meal. We went to Savoy 1902 on a Wednesday night with a group of 20. They got a large table ready for us in a few minutes and started taking drink orders. Of course, it took a while to take all our orders, but they had several attentive servers helping us. They brought crackers to our cranky babies and took the kids' order first. We all liked our meals. The smoked meat was delicious! The pulled pork and brisket were very tasty--smoky and tender. The bbq sauce was good. The sides were ok...the waffle fry potatoes looked good, but were a little soggy. The okra, smoked creamed corn and smoked mac and cheese were really tasty. We will be back for sure! We liked that they did not have loud music playing and we could talk with our guests. We talked to the owners who expressed they were working really hard to serve great smoked meats. The good was very good. The staff were friendly and very prompt and attentive. We got senior meals which were plenty of food for us. Another person in our group got a ham sandwich and it was huge. Lots of meat and veggies on it. Very good as well. read more

New to the area. Wanted to love this place. Such a cool building. Service was nonexistent other than one server. Plenty of staff present. My husband's food came out piece meal. After waiting an hour, the server asked if l'd ordered food, which I had of course. My husband had gotten and eaten all of his food, ribs, brisket, and coleslaw, and I still didn't have my food. Husband said ribs were excellent. Brisket was actually roast beef. Coleslaw was pretty good. After approximately an hour and a half, got my food, smoked chicken and mac and cheese. Pretty good, definitely not worth the wait and hassle. Then the ticket came. I think a reasonable expectation would be that at least my meal would be comped or discounted. Nope. I would have given it 5 stars but service was a bit slow. Food was great!! We'll be back. Inside was nice and clean. The Mac and cheese was really good and the hot link was awesome!
