My most recent memory of Blondie's was seeing some guy get a beer bottle bashed over his head. Never saw that before in real life. I thought that kind of thing only happened in movies. You see, this middle aged fellow was there with his new girlfriend. But his ex-girlfriend was also there -and likely already had quite a lot to drink. Seems natural. Rejection can lead to lots of drinking. Rejection can lead to fighting as well. Anyway, these two ladies get into it. Their fists start flying. The boyfriend just had to jump in between and separate the two. In one fluid, sweeping motion, ex-girlfriend swiped a longneck beer bottle off a table and smashed it on the back of the guy's head! The movies never show just how much a head bleeds when a glass bottle is smashed on it. I mean this poor guy bled all over the back of his shirt. I'm sure he needed several stitches at the hospital. Reasons for the two star review? The bar is tiny. It's in a crappy area of town. If you're not worried about getting your ass kicked inside you're going to be worried about your car getting jacked outside. And besides, I just bought a huge mug of beer when that guy got the bottle smashed on his head. The cops got there and we had to leave. I think I had only two or three sips out of that mug. Arrgh!

There were board games, a giant jenga set, a giant connect 4 set, and some arcade games. The owner, who knew my grandparents, wasn't around anymore, but the bartender had some good stories about him. The bartender and the customers were friendly and sociable, I met two guys that I spoke about current events with. They had a jukebox going, and played classic hits that I loved. Honestly, I had a pretty good experience and would recommend this to anyone looking for a place to just relax at the end of the day.
