Horrible food. I love Billy Sims but this Elgin location is horrible. The restaurant staff were nice. However, I complained to corporate after receiving a skinny spud with none of the toppings it comes with (I added cheese and that's all it was, a potato with cheese) and a "chopped brisket slider" that was like dry powdery ground beef? The General Manager of the location publicly lied saying that she tried to right their wrong, but she not once attempted to contact me. I have given them over a month just to respond to me, they never did. I outed them on Facebook and the GM came in lying about trying to fix their issue. To add, I have had billy sims in Lawton a few times. The skinny spud always had all the provided toppings, and the "chopped brisket" has NEVER looked like this. I simply wanted it remade but the GM was very disrespectful about such a small mistake. read more

We went into the restaurant around 5 pm on Sunday evening. The restaurant appeared clean and orderly. We got to place our order right away to the friendly staff of two because there were only two other customers in the restaurant. My friend and I each ordered baked potatoes with butter, onions, sour cream and cheese. We usually get it with chicken but we just wanted a big, potato. Took it home and opened the box to see a dry, hard, small and shriveled up potato that had obviously been in a warmer for a long time, long time. it had truly seen better days. I tasted mine after deciding it was probably safe although I couldn't even pierce the skin with my fork and that's my favorite part. It tasted as bad as it looked but because we were hungry we decided to doctor up our pitiful potatoes with all the extras to cover up the taste. it worked fairly well and we tasted more sour cream and onion than potatoes. These two potatoes and one small iced tea cost over $21. What a shame. I gave this store 2 stars because neither of us got sick. read more

Dry. Driest BBQ I have ever had, ever. I have been trying to like them cuz the locals rave, but they some how managed to remove all juices from the meat before serving and I can't fathom it. Also? The staff is super inexperienced... And it's a rotating door, so it's been that way for a while. Lastly, check your order, cuz they tend to forget things. read more

Wow. What a find. Lucky for us the pizza place was closed. The half rack (6) rib dinner was falling off the bone tender. The flavor was great. I had the Baked Potato Salad as a side. Good prices and truly good food. The manager is very nice and is a budding owner which says a lot as far as commitment. It's a home run. We dined in and everything was clean and welcoming. read more

Picked up 3 HARD as a brick, undercooked baked potatoes for dinner. They weren't even cut open, the toppings were placed on the top of the potatoes and melted off into the to go box. I keep making the mistake of giving this place chance after chance becuase supposedly its under new management. Never get my ranch, pickles or onions either. read more

DON'T ORDER FROM HERE!!! Horrible takeout experience. We ordered online which clearly provides the order to the cooks. Two salads with no onion and regular ranch and a side of turkey. Picked up the order and had to ask for the barbecue sauce for the turkey. Going out the door I only saw two boxes. Did you folks include the side of turkey? Yes we did sir. Got home, no side of turkey, onions in the salad, bque ranch, and the wrong salad with extra cheese. I called the manager to complain. Oh, turkey wasn't listed on the order but I was changed on the receipt and it's on the online order. Refund? Sure...I think I can do it or you can come down and pickup the turkey. If not, I'll have to go through a third party. Then as she's trying to process the missing turkey refund, I check the sliced brisket. It looks chopped. She says the brisket is overcooked and falls apart. Then why serve it? Chicken and brisket were bone dry. I told her to disregard the refund as they lost a customer. Everything is pre made and kept on a warmer. It's a little on the expensive side but since they don't have much competition as far as BBQ goes, if you are craving some smoked meats, this would be your go to. Brisket is pretty tender fall a part but I got a lot of overly dry pieces. I don't like to drench in sauce so it was a disappointment. Smoked turkey is pretty good, i would highly recommend it. If you go the sandwich route, it's pretty sad buns. I would almost get the combo and bring it home to make my own sandwich. Pretty standard sides. Can't go wrong with Mac n cheese and BBQ baked beans. Which in my opinion are vegetables. I actually liked their coleslaw, it wasn't overly dressed and had a good crunch that made it seem fresh. Nothing fancy though. It's a chain fast food place. It's a bit pricey: if you are going for the combo dinner plate, it will probably run you $20 if you want a drink with it. But you can almost fool yourself to thinking it's a step up from regular fast food to justify the cost. Nothing stellar but if you are in Elgin and craving BBQ, it's decent. read more

I have been going there since they first opened. I get takeout most of the time. In particular I get the loaded baked potatoes with everything & chopped brisket. The last 3 times, I was missing the Ranch dressing & bacon bits. I called this last time to let them know I was missing items. The manager informed me I had to ask for those items, they didn't come with the loaded potato. I told him I never did in the past & neither did my husband or daughter when they picked up our food. He got very defensive & rude & told me in the future if I wanted the 'extras' that I had to ask for them. I told him with his attitude, I'll just spend my money elsewhere. I noticed their business has slackened & I feel it's probably because of the new manager's attitude. Pretty good BBQ. From Texas and expected a little more flavor....but overall was good. Baked potato salad was delicious!

This place has some great BBQ. Chicken was a little dry. But everything taste great. Coleslaw. And Mac and cheese are the best sides.
