Waited in a very long, slow moving line in the drive-through, but OK, that happens. Got to the window, ordered 4 sandwiches, 2 snack wraps, fries and drinks. Drive-through code in the app would not work, even at the window, showing him the code, we refreshed it, and the code still wouldn't work. He blamed the app. To be fair, though, he manually gave us the deal. Then he brought out our sandwiches and fries, told us a snack wraps weren't ready, and asked us to pull up into a parking spot. Waited more than 14 minutes for him to bring out just those two snack wraps, sitting there as our fries and sandwiches got cold. Won't be going there again. read more

(Former) Loyal apps user. Most always at this location; however the trusted employees that were so great are mostly gone now replaced by managers that just don't care. My quarter pounder was totally burnt on one side. I took it back (see picture) manager didn't even look at it, threw it out, but made me another one. Got that and although a bit better, was horribly slapped together in pieces (see picture). I asked about it and was told, "ITS THE WAY ITS MADE" and the manager walked away from me. Dear franchise owners and Corp. if you are going to charge 6.79 for nuggets and 4.79 for a medium fry I am expecting what you advertise on the billboard and commercial . What I got was something from a low budget buffet . WTH ! This location is right off the freeway . Why is the sign not lit up ? It was very dark . 7 cars before me is the only reason I knew it was open. Was your oven broke ? My food was cold and the fries were terrible !!! I can say that I've gone here for a while and I usually got decent service but today almost every car in the drive-through took 5 to 10 minutes to be able to order because I don't know what's going on there but from the other reviews I can tell they don't care about their customers anymore when I got to the drive-through window, it took the lady forever to ask what i wanted to order. This is my nearest McDonald's after moving to El Cajon 1 year ago, since then every single visit which has been about 25 times I have asked for a soft serve ice cream cone usually at night- and it has always been "our ice cream machine is down". A prison guard is what I felt was serving the prisoners no smile late on my order left on counter people getting theirs mine stay on the count Deluxe breakfast no cold and rubber pancakes with hard eggs. This McDonald's has never lets me down, until today. I came through the drive through around 7:30 am to pick up my mobile order. I ordered two chicken Mc griddles and a large caramel iced coffee.. when I got to the window I asked the person my order from the window in the drive-through if could get my chicken made fresh. They absolutely refused. So I went to the second window and asked them the same thing and they assured me that they would make it cooked to order. They also did not store up my iced coffee. It was not caramel. All the syrup was at the bottom. They told me to go park to wait for the cook to order Mc griddles and I said all right. I will do that. I went parked and about five minutes later they bring me chicken Mc griddles that are not cooked to order however, the week prior I asked for the same order and it was amazing, the chicken Mc griddles were hot so fresh just came out of the fryer this chicken Mc griddles I've had because they were actually cooked order. I think it's safe to say that I will no longer be going to this location for breakfast. How are you gonna promise that you're gonna get my order right and then just lie to me and give me something else. Very disappointed. read more

I like this McDonald's. For some reason, their fries are better than other stores. ( I eat at McDonald's often-- mainly Lakeside, and Santee ) Kid- Happy Meals! The fries are fresh, and salted. #1 out of the 3 I frequent. #2 Lakeside, #3 Santee. I went this morning, Service was fast, and efficient. Pick up window Cashier was friendly, and she courteously doubled up on drink carriers to make sure it was sturdy. I ordered Caramel iced coffee. Flavored well, and actually sweet with Caramel at the bottom. I've ordered plenty of iced coffees, where they have skimped on syrup and the taste is harsh. All the food was fresh and hot, French fries were perfect no bad oil asked for light salt which was added lightly. I placed an order around 9:40pm on 11/23/22, headed to the store, was able to select the "I'm already here" option as I was pulling in the driveway, able to select that I would pick up at the drive-thru, and even received a code to pick up my food. Then, noticed that the drive-thru was blocked off, so I parked and tried the door - locked. It was now 9:59pm. I pulled up the number to call the store and THEN saw that the store closes at 10pm. Nobody answered the store phone when I called. I had to check my account to make sure I wasn't charged for an order that I wouldn't be able to receive and then find somewhere else to go for dinner and start all over. It would be awesome if the app would advise you that the location is closing soon and not allow you to proceed with an order that it KNOWS won't be fulfilled. Additionally, if the order was cancelled manually by an employee, they should be required to call the customer and let them know the order was placed too late and they will not be able to complete the order, so customers don't waste their time heading to the store. This was a terrible experience, but to make it worse, I filed a complaint about it both against the app and against the store and specifically requested to be contacted with a follow up by the store but (SHOCKING) they store never reached out to resolve the issue. read more

Quick and excellently friendly service! A+++ One of the few McDonald's in the area that haven't been upgraded to double drive-thru lines. Despite the single lane, they maintain a great speed-of-service that keeps the line flowing smoothly. Bekas is normally running the lunchtime drive-thru speaker and taking payments when I visit this location. Bekas' upbeat personality is beyond exceptional! Especially when compared to the bland and boring order takers at other nearby McDonald's locations. Funny, friendly, and effortlessly efficient. This guy definitely deserves a promotion!! read more

It's McDonalds...no surprises here, the food is fairly standardized from one store to another. What impresses me about this location is the service. I can swing into the drive thru on my way to work for a breakfast sandwich in the morning and be back on my way in a couple minutes. This hasn't always been my experience at other locations. The morning crew here consistently has their act together. Using the online app on your phone gets you to the window even quicker. read more

I have visited this McDonalds on several occasions. It's a hit or a miss at times. Sometimes the food is fresh and other times it's stale. One consistent thing about this place is the young people that work there; rude, unwelcoming and clearly hate working there.
