Well, if they can't handle curbside pick up, they oughta just quit doing it. I ordered my burger and Coke paid in my money drove across town and sat for 10 minutes while some fat ass wandered out with it with a bad attitude. Very disappointing. Course the food was done quite a bit earlier because it wasn't hot. The chicken pieces which are always just marginal at best were gooey and chewy. AGAIN! They only except the exact change or a credit card because they are low on change. This happens at least once a week when there is a bank across the street... I just don't get it. Drive through was quick, ordered a #3 meal and a chicken nugget meal. No fries came with it and it was 17 dollars. We argued that we ordered meals but they said we didnt. 17 dollars for a burger, 10 nuggets, and 2 drinks. No fries. They charged us for a medium fry and said it wasnt on the receipt but it was. We showed them the receipt and they kept it instead of giving it back. The service was extremely rude overall, and when we tried to get fries with it they said we would have to be charged extra. read more

Horrible staff, this place is not setup to accommodate busy times. If you go inside to avoid a mile-long drive-thru line, you can only order on the self-serve kiosk, and the people receiving the kiosk orders and making the food are absolutely incompetent. I've NEVER had a food order with so many incorrect items. (swapping sausage for steak, giving sausage instead of bacon, forgetting hasbrowns altogether, mixing up bagel vs English muffin and more) and then to top it all off the few items that were correct tasted old, crusty, and stale. After realizing how incorrect the food was, my husband took the incorrect items back inside and asked for the correct ones. The staff wasn't apologetic. They were dismissive and rude. I would never allow employees with such poor customer service skills to continue working for me. I don't leave reviews for fast food restaurants, but the service at this restaurant was so horrible that I couldn't not warn others. read more

If I could give this place a negative star review I would. I don't even know where to start with them. I went in to order some food after working 14 hours straight and I decided to wash my hands first. It was so neat to be greeted with toilet paper covered with feces laying on the floor. Not a couple pieces but literally everywhere. I know everyone short staffed right now, and though it's gross, I'm willing to overlook some things like that. I make my way to the counter and waited for about 10 minutes. Before I actually slap the counter hard enough to get one of the five people standing by the fry machine to acknowledge me. I make my order and wait for it, patiently. When I get my order which is a straightforward double quarter pounder meal with a large fry and a fruit punch I was handed a bag with chicken nuggets and a medium fry. I was then asked to wait for the drink which took another 7 to 10 minutes. At that point I just decided it would be better to never come back again and warn every single person I possibly can to avoid this place. I've been to McDonald's in the slums in LA that literally make this one look like five star fine dining. Your employees are terrible. Your food is terrible, which is no surprise after all it is McDonald's. And the customer service was so shitty I don't even know if there was anything that could be done worse. I don't know how this place is still open in this community but do not order food from this place. read more

If I could leave zero stars, I would. The service here is absolutely atrocious. I never expect much from fast food these days because the times have clearly changed but this place is absolutely ridiculous. If you want drive-thru service after about 10:30, you have to sit at the speaker for a while until they realize you're not going to just give up and drive away. I just had a group of employees standing outside yelling, "We're f-cking closed!!" at 11:00pm. I pulled up the to speaker and my order was taken. They are supposed to be open until midnight but if you get here past 11:15, the lights are out. I also just watched them turn the lights out on a customer pulling up to the window. Again, it's not even 11:30. I wish someone at the store cared enough for it to matter but it is what it is. At least I can warn others. (There is a sweet girl that is in Management there that has made quite a few visits much more pleasant than others but she's the only one I've seen so far that seems to have any customer service skills or be a decent human.) ***Edit: I'm talking about the night time crew. After turning around and driving back, the entire process took an hour including having to to explain to the two imbeciles at the window that we did not get our complete order. I will never go back. Save your money and go to the Ellijay Chick-fil-A. In ten years the the Ellijay Chick-fil-A only got one order wrong and not only did they refund our $30., they gave us a coupon for another $30. I've gone through the East Ellijay Georgia drive through several times and each time it has been so dirty. The sliding glass at the drive-thru is so filthy, so full of fingerprints that you can't even see through the window. I can't believe that the manager has not done something about it. It takes 1 minute to take alcohol and water and a rag to clean. . The servers have disgustingly dirty fingernails. I decided that after today, I won't go to McDonald's ever again in East Ellijay. I've given them several chances, but each time I go inside or through the drive-through I'm disgusted. Also, customer service is a very big thing with me. The servers in the drive-thru window have about as much personality and customer service skills as a sour dish rag. I understand that they are getting paid close to minimum wage, but what they have is a job that they have chosen to do. Lots of people don't have jobs. If you don't like working where you are, then quit that job and go clean a house or cut grass. Do something else, but for Pete's sake, don't work in the customer service world. This was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had! The order was wrong, the food was terrible, extremely rude and unprofessional and they lied. When I talked to the manager about the problems, he told me to shut up, lied about what he/staff did and said and used very foul language. When I started to leave, he said very loudly for the entire staff and other customers to hear, he called me a BITCH. I called him on it and when I asked him "Did you call me a Bitch, he hid behind his employees and threatened to call the police." He did EVERYTHING WRONG. I will NEVER go to another McDonalds again. What is it with this particular McDonalds restaurant that whenever you go through the drive-thru and hand the cashier your money, they almost very often try to keep the small change? Or when you go inside, they aren't able to hand pennies back that are owed to you because they "are out of pennies"? Seems to me this practice would add up to a good sum of extra money for this McDonalds after a while. Today, the reason the cashier at the drive-thru gave me for keeping change is that they put it in the outside Ronald McDonald collection box. Well, okay, but since the box is located outside and just below the drive-thru, and the change is truly mine, don't you think I should be able to make the choice of where I want my change to go? I am very physically able to drop it in the box myself if I choose to. Also, it would be most appropriate and courteous if the cashiers would ask customers first if they mind McDonalds keeping their change rather than saying "thank you" and shutting the window without any mention or intent of not returning money owed to customers. I would be very interested in knowing how much money from this particular restaurant goes to the Ronald McDonald kids since that's the excuse I got today. Is there a record kept of this? Wonder if this McDonalds would give customers their order if customers were short on change? Most of the employees at this restaurant are very nice, polite and courteous, and in my opinion, do a good job. However, I don't appreciate the cashiers taking my money and assuming it's okay to keep the small change without even asking - I really don't even appreciate it when I'm given an excuse. It just doesn't seem to me to be very professional and to be honest, makes me wonder if they are operating on such a shoestring budget that they make be cutting corners somewhere else that I really, really wouldn't appreciate. I haven't kept up with their food scores from the health inspection dept., but maybe it's a good time to start.
