This morning it was cold, snowing and chilly, so I felt for McDonald's kind of morning. I ordered through DoorDash, sorry can't drive yet, so I get my feedback about outside and inside of the restaurant from the drivers. Let's start with food, I ordered steak egg and cheese bagel meal, BOGO sausage egg McMuffin and extra hashbrown. Bagel meal was great except coffee was blah!, no cream or sugar was given or put in it. So 4 star! BOGO sausage egg McMuffin was good, so 5 star! I didn't get the extra hashbrown but they gave me a sausage McGriddle which I don't care for at all. I will admit I didn't place my order at 10:40a, even at that I would've taken a small fry. Ordinarily I believe in getting what I'm paying for and if it's unavailable, plz refund it bk. So my dasher was so nice and he even handed me my pkg outside. He said it was busy and the employees was nice considering being busy. read more

Customer service is terrible! The drive thru person at 9:30 am was terrible and rude. Why is the lady with the turquoise hair dealing with customers? read more

Super slow service (you'll sit at the drive thru speaker in silence for several minutes), rude staff, and cold food.

This is the worst McDonalds in all of Detroit. The folks are rude and extra slow. I do not even try to get anything from them. Even when the drive thru has no cars, they are still slow. I think they only hire folks who really don't care. Hey yall, go to the Wendy's on Jefferson. They are faster and the food is hot and no attitudes. read more

This location says open 24 hours, but it's always hit or miss. Never any ice cream, specialty foods or specialty coffees available, especially at night. (The equipment is always down, or they just don't want to use and re-clean them). Tried to get some fries late Saturday night and one order was taken in the drive thru before us. As the line accumulated no one ever came back to take our order, or anyone else's, so we left after 20 mins waiting. It seemed like maybe only one person was working, or employees just hang out inside and ignore the drive thru after hours. No message or anything said about being short staffed or waiting, just left us all sitting wondering if they were even open. I've lived in the area for a long time and this location is very convenient for me. I can imagine the rush hours for people working downtown on this street as well. It would be nice if McDonalds would address this or sell the location to any other business that is run better. It probably costs more for them to keep it open at this point because they can't be selling as much food as ANY other locations. read more

Very short, drive-through lineup, and extremely slow service. All McDonalds drive throughs I have been to lately have gone way down in customer service. This one is pathetic. read more

Good customer service! The FRIES WERE GREAT BEST FRIES IVE HAD IN A WHILE!! Clean and fresh food definitely with come back again

one quarter; ponder is not two regular size burgers? That's what I got. Would have taken them back but was already home. You don't do that to a disabled senior. East Jefferson McDonalds. read more

horrible and slow Just got off the road so I said hey let me give 'em another shot for the 9th time this is probably the third time that I have waited in this line for over 10 minutes before my order was even taken. Once the order is taken forget, saying put stuff on the side because on the screen, they put what they feel. Then I'm waiting in line for another 20 minutes. Still nothing I pray because not everyone in this location has a bad attitude, but there are some cleaning up that needs to be done training with a smile or something - of course I need to cook read more

Cold food, missing items, bad customer service. Kids run the kitchen with lack of management

This is the worst McDonald's and the staff, including the manager are rude. I forgot why I stopped going here years ago and don't understand how they are even still open. Don't let the new construction fool you! I would give them zero stars but can't read more

Worse service in the state of Michigan the one manager in this establishment (morning shift ) is so rude people lined in to come inside and she made everyone walk thru the drive through just to place a order then when you would get to the window she would refuse service because not in a car/truck worse experience ever I'll never stop her again waited almost 25 minutes just to be turned away bc they didn't want to open the restaurant read more

Took five mins for them to even take my order at noon - with little other traffic. Took three customers' orders from the outside lane before mine. Took an additional five plus mins to get food (double cheeseburger and 6 pc McNugget). Overall waited over 15 mins. Will be avoiding this McDonald's in the future. read more

Don't go here if you value your time. Worst McDonald's I've ever been to. Waited 40 mins for a simple order.

Just saw a front store employee digging in her ear and then proceeding to make drinks. If that's in the front I wonder what's happening in the back. My burger was made so sloppy but it didn't matter because after seeing that I wasn't hungry anymore. read more

Left the house on a moderately beautiful day, sun is shining, medium clouds in the sky with very rare lone snowflakes gracing my face. I NEEDED McDonald's, I pull up and what do a see? A new crispy chicken sandwich, I roll my eyes and think "great, they have something new and I need to try it so that I can never get it again". After the cashier says with a smile "welcome to McDonald's what can I get for you?" I place my order in a solemn tone and pull up with my debit card ready. Next window I secure the bag. It came in a kfc-esque chicken sandwich bag and I thought "way to go McDonald's copying your competitors like always" I reach my had inside and the tips of my fingers are met with the softest buns I have ever felt. I pull it out of the bag quickly with enthusiasm and all of a sudden face to face with the most beautiful thing I have witnessed since my own birth. No time to take a picture, the smell was intoxicating. The spicy sauce had a certain zap to it that I had been looking for from fast food for years. The chicken was juicy but not very crispy however the crunch I felt from the calming pickles was more than enough to make up for this. The bun I swear was made of a cloud plucked from the heavens. Maybe it was my hangry, downtrodden nature beforehand that made this such a wonderful experience, but I want to believe that this was truly the best fast food sandwich I have ever had and true to my nature, I will not be getting it again because I would never want to step on that magical moment. read more

McDonald's - Spicy Crispy Chicken Sandwich - Fast Food Near Me - Detroit, Michigan

Wish I could give this 0 stars. Got to the window to order and they told me to come inside. Get in and the line was out the door and when it finally was my turn to order, the guy disappeared because the two people working in the back were not enough to keep up with the rush. Disgusting place with spiders crawling around the place and flies everywhere. I waited 20 min for two mcchickens. I also asked for extra extra extra pickles (I literally said it 4 times) and got ONE PICKLE on each sandwich. Mind you this was for my boss who was starved and didn't have a lunch... Thanks for nothing!!!! read more

This McDonald's is the worst. I normally avoid it at all cost. Order is never right, attitudes from employees is normally terrible and they are always slow. If it's over car in the drive thru or 15, they will be slow. Sidenote: The ice cream machine will break around April and will not be fixed until about November. Happens every year! read more

I have stopped here often. This is the slowest McDonald's ever. They acted annoyed when I asked for the correct drink after they got it wrong. Slow and rude. This McDonald's would do well to get a new manager or franchiser. It is poorly run. read more

If you're looking for a harrowing dive into a wasteland of angry employees and terrible service with poorly made and bacteria laden food, this is your Valhalla. This McDonald's is definitely the worst in all of Detroit, most likely in all of Michigan and quite possibly the worst in the country. In 32 years as a McDonald's loving human I have never experienced worse. The ever rotating staff is consistently comprised of one person trying so hard to do things right that they're forced to yell at the new employees that don't know what they're doing and the lazy ones that just don't care. It says it is open 24 hours but don't let the lights, the drive-thru open sign, or google fool you. It is routinely closed from 3-6am because they late night staff doesn't feel like working. This has to be a franchised McDonald's because its owner must be a putrid pile of stinking flesh to allow this place to continue to operate as a little shop of horrors. Get anything on the menu and drive to different McDonalds and you'll taste an insanely different tasting item. Pro-tip if you're stuck in the food desert of East Jefferson late-night: Don't get mad at the newbies, they were just trying to get a job and this place is always hiring. It's not their fault the owner/upper management is so god awful. read more

It's a McDonald's so high praise is not really expected. I went here since it was closer to my friend's apartment than my normal Detroit McDonald's (Woodward and Canfield). The food was fine. The wait was fine. The water flies swarming about the place made me wonder if locusts had descended upon Detroit for its day of reckoning. The drive thru experience was absolutely smothered in a ridiculously disgusting amount of insects on the exterior of the building. So maybe this McDonald's should get 5 stars, because it genuinely made me reconsider getting McDonald's. read more

If I could not give any stars, they wouldn't have the one. I frequent the marina across the street so when I'm in a hurry I would stop through and grab a quick bite. I have NEVER had even remotely close to a decent experience at the McDonalds. I've complained to corporate several times, nothing changes. My advice: go hungry- or there is a Wendy's right up the street. read more

I was in the drive-thru during the lunch rush. My order was taken at the speaker. No one was at Window 1 to take payment. When I get the Window 2, I give the employee the money for my meal. He then hands me a bag of food. He says, "You haven't paid yet?" I reply, no. I give him the bag back, because it was not what I ordered. He tells me that I "have to go back around" to place my order, after I've waited almost 15 minutes to get to the window. Never again! read more

Love their food and a wonderful hostess. I forgot her name. But she was sooo sweet and helpful

You know, no one goes to McDonald's with high expectations. So, if this McDonalds gets a single star rating, there's a reason. You should go here if you feel like waiting in line for an unbelievably long time. All I wanted was a pop, that's it.... I went through the drive through thinking it would be faster. Not so, not so. It took me 20 minutes. Yikes. read more

McDonald's - a pile of fast food - Fast Food Near Me - Detroit, Michigan

Please by any means stay away from this location. I came here a few days ago about 7:30am and was told drive through only. Funny cause sign says from 7 AM til 8pm. Ok even though I hate eating from places I haven't been in I needed coffee fast. Pull to the speaker and was greeted by"go ahead." So I said large coffee 3creams and sugar on the side. She says "pull ahead." No hello or does this complete your order. So I pull up to pay at the 1st window and the cashier didn't repeat my order but I think it was because she was busy laughing and joking with her coworkers which is why I was given the incorrect change from my $5.05 I should've received $4.00 change but instead I was looked at like I did something wrong. After she rectified the situation I pull ahead to get my coffee and was told they were all out of creams so they added it already. Are you kidding me? Then hands me two cups. 1 with my coffee with disgusting non dairy cream already added and the second 1 which I assumed was a complimentary cup of coffee was a half a cup of sugar that was wet, clumpy and brown. Do I have to say this was a bad morning? So after a long day of no coffee I had a great ending. So I decided to stop by after work to see if the night manager would at least show some compassion and at the least apologize for what I had experienced. I pull in and the lot has 2 cars and the lobby was pretty much empty. I walked in and I promise you I thought I walked into a middle school locker room from the smell. There wasnt anyone waiting in line nor was there anyone at the register to take my order or in this matter my complaint. Now the store wasnt trashed but there was a few napkins and straws on the floor but why? I mean no one cleaning as well as screwing up orders? I waited maybe 20 more seconds no one showed so I left went home and vented to you guys hoping you don't make the same mistake. read more

The staff at this McDonalds are morons. Ive been here several times hoping for better service each time, and they always get the order wrong. Ive expressed my disappointment about the bad service, but there has been no change. I dont eat meat, and they consistently put meat on my breakfast sandwiches everytime I request "NO MEAT". The last time I ordered an egg white delight with NO meat, and they didnt put the egg white on the sandwich, and put 2 pieces of meat on the sandwich instead. This McDs is the worst. I can now see why people prefer going to the McDs in the suburbs. The McDs in the city are horrible, and the staff doesnt care at all how they serve your food. Idiots... read more

McDonald's - a piece of paper on top of a box - Fast Food Near Me - Detroit, Michigan

I've been to a lot of McDonald's in Detroit and I always think "this is the worst one." Well folks, this one really is the worst one. No matter what time of day it is, no matter how many people are in line, no matter how many people are working, your food will take forever. I could handle slow if my order was correct, but you're not getting that, either. The employees are lazy and entitled on top of being incompetent, and this includes managers. They're more interested in socializing than working, and solve problems by screaming at each other. Once witnessed a manager screaming at a customer because he was being "disrespectful." The credit card machines are always broken, which is too bad because the employees can't count to make change. read more

50/50 chance you'll get what you ordered. I also was once ASKED for a tip from the employee behind the counter! Although this is one of the updated McDonalds with the updated interior and furnishings I feel like there is no place I can sit without wallowing in someone else's filth. Late night service is lackluster & radiates the feeling that you're annoying the night shift employees with your order. Last resort only. read more

We live in a building close by and of the four times we've tried this location out they've gotten our order correct once. The ice cream machine is always broken somehow. Everyone in our building talks about how terrible this Mcdonalds is, so nobody goes there. If they just got their shit together they'd get way more business. They need new management asap. read more

Terrible. 15 minutes to get fast food through their drive through at 3pm. Not even busy time of day.

Once again walked into find irate customers demanding refunds for having to wait an unreasonable amount of time. This location can not catch a break as far as employees go. Things seemed to be improving over the summer but we have returned to the old ways of serving the drive-thru and ignoring the Eat-in customers. read more

I know, it's McDonald's, but still...I've given it a few tries. No more. The wait time is inexcusable. Last visit, I ordered a "chicken" sandwich and it was beyond terrible. The bun was stale and hard. The lettuce was wilted. The chicken was burned beyond "crispy." Just close this place down. read more

Get my order wrong EVERYTIME and I always come for the coffee. Coffee is good but ordering food is always wrong. Staff not friendly either.
