Great staff, great food. Wish it was open later but always worth the visit when in Windsor.

Last night I was invited out by a friend for her birthday get together at Rockhead. I had never…read morebeen to this pub before, so I was excited to try something new. Upon arrival, the street parking was all taken up, so I went behind the building, to park in the municipal parking lot, which wasn't really paved well, lots of pot holes and it was dark. Luckily, parking is free after 6pm, and I walked through the alley way to the front of the building to the entrance. Upon entering, their were many signs indicating that their debit/credit machine was out of order, and they could only take cash, but indicated where their ATM was, after taking out my money and being charged a $3 fee, I had realized there was a TD Bank, my financial institution, across the street. Everyone was arriving sporadically, so when I had arrived, my friend and some of her friends were there. The waitress came up and asked for my drink order, they only had one type of Cider, Somersby, which was fine. There was a group of us, and there was hardly anyone in this bar, we had ordered our meals, which took a while to come out, myself and another person ordered a Caesar salad, which were the second to last items to come out. The salad was okay, the croutons were soft and fried rather than hard and baked. The dressing itself came on the side instead of mixed in, it wasn't really that good. Other than the company, the food was mediocre, the washrooms we're really well kept, and the whole pub seems a bit run down, and more like a dive. Not sure if I will come back, but if I do, it's because I was invited, not because I wanted to go on my own; hopefully their debit/credit machine is working next time.

THIS REVIEW IS ONLY FOR THE COMEDY CLUB…read more We went to the comedy club over the weekend. We were visiting Detroit and decided that we need a breath of fresh air. We needed somewhere without guns, with police, with flowers and laughter. We ended up in Canada. This is a fantastic little comedy club. They are currently having a comedy festival. The comedians were all really good. It wasn't expensive. They kindly accepted our American dollars because our stupid American debit cards don't work with their ATM (you know, we don't have the chip that stops people from stealing all of our info) We didn't order any food (we had poutine before arriving- SIDE NOTE- PUT POUTINE ON YOUR MENU. Please.). We only ordered a couple of drinks. My husband wanted coffee because of the drive back to Detroit (the passport people scare us). They brewed him coffee and then gave us spoiled milk. Doh! I hate it when that happens. The bartender was very friendly and apologetic. My husband switched to a red bull and they gave that to us for free. Very friendly, especially knowing that we are out of towners and probably won't be back. This is a great little place and I highly recommend it for comedy. (Ouch- the blond bartender upstairs did have a bit of an attitude problem. I don't blame this on the entire establishment. When was asked her what type of beer something was she looked at us like we were insane and responded with "it is beer". Ummm...)

They are located on the third level of the Marriott directly across from the lobby of the hotel check-in counter. They have various seating options including an outdoor patio. Several tables and booths were equipped with charging USB ports. Katlynn and Patrina provided excellent service. They were taking care of multiple guest tables at once. Our conference brought in over a thousand attendees. The staff in the restaurant was on point on the floor, however, the kitchen staff must have been understaffed. The wait times increased and were extended as the restaurant filled up in the evening and also during the breakfast hours. I had excellent meals the three times that I dined here. I had the Turkey Burger & Fries, Sante Fe Chicken Crunch Salad, Truffle Fries and 3-Layer Carrot Cake. Everything was delicious!

The brunch menu hit that perfect middle ground: comforting but still felt a little elevated. Everything I had was fresh and flavorful, and the portions were just right. I had the chicken and waffles and it soooo good! The atmosphere is super casual since it's right in the hotel, but it still feels put-together. Service was friendly and quick, which I appreciated. Overall, a really solid brunch option if you're staying at the Marriott or nearby. I'd definitely go back next time I'm in town.

We sat at the bar to speed the food along because we were hungry. The bartender, Tristan, was nice and accommodating. I had the Fried Chicken BLT. Ya'll! This was an excellent sandwich. The tomato and lettuce was so fresh and the chicken was so well seasoned. It was absolutely delicious. The perfect sandwich. I'd go back for another one right now but will definitely be returning to this restaurant for that sandwich next time I'm in Detroit.

There is plenty street parking and I saw a sign that they validate parking (a plus for downtown). To note There is a Happy Hour! On arrival all staff are pretty attentive, there wasn't a wait to be greeted and seated by The Eagle team. The food is advertised as all Natural and I must say it was! Food came out pretty quick, nice and hot and crispy chicken that is lightly breaded. Both of my visits were top-notch. The ambiance is a modern beer/food restaurant. The group I was with we tried the 'snack' Burnt ends (B+), combo meal -3 piece drums and 3 piece dark (A+), Fried Chicken BLTsandwhich (A++)-- as mentioned the chicken was outstanding, the sandwich was shared for 2, the bread had a nice crisp too. For the sides sweet potato Crock, mac and cheese, green beans and collars greens-- no complaints! They offer multiple draft beer, cocktails and cocktails. I must say the prices and portions are very reasonable! Needless to say, highly recommend and I will return soon :)

Unfortunately, I would give the place a 4 if it didn't take our food, even our appetizers, an hour to come. Our particular server forgot to put our truffle fries in so we were drinking our cocktails on empty stomachs. Eventually we got our pork belly appetizer but it was small so I wouldn't recommend it as a shareable dish. My friend and I ordered a Mango Lassi Mule and we were really excited but it literally tasted like a basic Moscow Mule which was really confusing. There wasn't any color which would presumably come from the mango and it just tasted like lime. Everyone liked their food though and had leftovers. I had the Chicken Milanese which was yummy and a good portion. I also got the bday girl a dessert but they do not comp it which sucks. They did comp one of our appetizers since it came later. Overall a 3.5 and would like to try again for hopefully a better experience.

The menu is Turkish and German fusion, which makes when you know how the doner kabob has become a German fast food staple. I've gone a few times now and had consistently great experiences. From the just the right level of eccentric inside, to the wide patio outside, the environment is comfortable and fun. Their food and cocktail menu changes often. There a few mainstays, including their doner options. Their lamb doner version is the only one I've found in the US I like (I have to remember to ask without peppers, not a traditional ingredient). Their cocktails are fresh, inventive, and interesting. I've tried a variety, and they do a consistently good cocktail. Supergeil is a reliable go to, good quality, reasonable prices, and great service. I'll be back for their patio season.

From the moment I walked in, the ambiance transported me to a beautiful Mediterranean garden, with its gorgeous tiled floors, lush greenery, and warm, inviting atmosphere. It felt like a refreshing escape right in the middle of Detroit's historic cobblestone streets. It was the perfect setting for a long-overdue reunion with my sorority sisters, and Supergeil was incredibly accommodating, hosting our group of 14 women in the middle of Grand Prix weekend without missing a beat. We kicked off the evening with a few appetizers to share, including the hummus, deviled eggs, and meatballs. Everything arrived quickly and was an instant hit around the table. The standout was definitely the hummus, served with fresh, homemade pita that was unbelievably soft, fluffy, and packed with flavor. The meatballs were also delicious, perfectly tender, juicy, and well seasoned. For my entrée, I ordered the popular lamb and beef döner, and it absolutely lived up to the hype. The portion was generous and beautifully presented, overflowing with crisp vegetables, fresh lettuce, garlic sauce, hot sauce, and the most tender, savory lamb and beef. Around the table, others enjoyed the Turkish ravioli with spiced beef and pork, more döner, and a variety of salads. Everyone loved their meals, and we couldn't resist passing plates around to sample a little of everything. It's the kind of restaurant that's perfect for sharing and enjoying with a large group. And what would a girls' night be without cocktails? If you're a fan of Two James spirits like I am, you're in for a treat. The bartenders create incredibly inventive cocktails from a seasonally rotating menu. I stepped outside my comfort zone and ordered the Open Kettle, made with coffee infused Doctor Bird Rum, cola reduction, coconut cream, and Underberg. It was unlike anything I've ever had! It was rich, tropical, complex, and with just the right kick. It's an absolute must try. Another crowd favorite was the Purple Gang, featuring lavender vodka, lemon, and butterfly pea tea, which gave it the most stunning purple hue. To finish the night, we ordered all three desserts to share: the burnt sugar tres leches, strawberries and cream, and the hot brownie with cinnamon ice cream. My favorite was easily the tres leches. It was light, creamy, and perfectly balanced with the crunch of burnt caramel and the subtle sweetness of coconut, it was a creative twist on a classic dessert. The warm brownie with cinnamon ice cream was pure comfort and a chocolate lover's dream, while the strawberries and cream offered a lighter finish with sesame brittle and hibiscus, creating a unique combination that reminded me of an elevated granola paired with a glazed donut cream. From the beautiful atmosphere and attentive service to the creative cocktails and delicious food, Supergeil delivered an unforgettable dining experience. Whether you're planning date night, catching up with friends, or celebrating with a large group, it's definitely a spot worth adding to your Detroit restaurant list.
