Great dive bar with the best Philly cheesesteak. They make their bread homemade and it's awesome. The sandwich is so big it's enough to feed two hungry adults. I took half home for lunch the next day because there was no way I was going to share that with anyone else lol. Drinks were reasonably priced and it seemed to be a regulars place. Sarah, our bartender, was very nice and made some good suggestions like trying the Philly steak on their homemade bread versus the standard hoagie it normally comes on. When I first opened the menu I thought it might be an old one from 10 years ago because most of the meals were less than 10 bucks! Great sports bar with monitors all over the place, and the service is second to none. The route to get there is a bit tricky in a circuitous sort of way, but well worth it! Food is spectacular. Stopped in for a second yesterday to grab a carry out for a dash.... thank God it was ready... wall to wall people, no masks, no social distancing... lots of drunks... did not see a mask on any face.. not even hanging down on a chin.... it's like Covid doesn't exist there..... this place ought to be shut down.... couldn't wait to get out of that little germ box....yuck... and shame on that owner! read more

Dark, cramped and raucous - this is the paradigm case of a blanket city bar. Small towns turn up big in small bars. Between the name that tune bar game (every other Thursday) to the overhead heaters on the outside of the bar for those going outside to smoke/make a call, the place has an undeniable charm. They also have deep-fried mushrooms, which is a great bar food goodie. The downside is the glacially slow service. We waited about twenty minutes from the time we asked for the check to the time we received it. That, and they don't have marinara, which seems odd. The bathroom wasn't well-kept either. read more

My friends and I go to the Bench Pub every other Thursday for Name That Tune. We have had good and bad experiences over the past year or so with the service, but it's worth it because Name That Tune is a great time. Their chips and cheese are fantastic- it's hard to find a good nacho cheese dip! I also like their chef's salad, and I usually like their chicken strips with buffalo sauce. Sometimes they don't put enough sauce on though, and once they were undercooked. Thrusday nights are also Ladies Night, with $2 you-call-its! I love that I can drink $2 Midori Sours while I play! The only problem is that there are certain random drinks that aren't included, but if you order one of them, they don't let you know that it's not $2. You don't find out until your bill is way too expensive. The service is really hit-or-miss, but I would imagine it's better on days where the place isn't full to capacity. Overall, great for Name That Tune, but not really a place I would ever go to otherwise. read more

Stopped in on a Friday night with my sister and felt like I was in Last Call! Every overhead light was on, ridiculous. My wife and I are both 70 yrs old. We stopped in this place for a bite to eat. Place was clean with not loud music but louder than we like. Place seemed to have a lot of energy. Three dartboards were all in use the whole time we were there. Seemed to be a bit diverse in ages with I'd day 30 to 50 yr olds as customers. Service was prompt and friendly. We ordered a couple of burgers and they were very good. You get burger and chips but my upgraded to onion rings. Overall place seemed friendly and casual. Food was good so for a solid place to eat a burger give it a try if your not worried about noise. My wife says that they were going to close at 7 or 7:30pm. Oh, almost forgot, just before we left some lady came by with a tray of paper cups and asked if we wanted a shot of Jack Daniels. We declined but I thought that was a nice touch. Super disappointed. Sat there for an hour and only got served a drink. The waitress served the table next to us and got their food promptly and and we never got looked at. Well I can say it's definitely a bar. Stopped in on a Thursday to have a couple drinks with a friend. First impressions is decent size with a small town bar feel. It's located in a small strip mall, which I always find weird for a bar. They have a decent amount of TVs, decent jukebox, sports décor, and a handful of real dart boards. It appeared to have a bunch of the "regulars" hanging out this night we were there. We sat towards the end of the bar and the bartender was polite and quick. She gave us a rundown of the draft beer and their vodka selection was limited so I ended up with a raspberry pinnacle and Sprite. Not bad but most bars have Stoli Raz...yes im a vodka drinker. Drinks were decent priced and I believe the vodka was $4.50. I like a strong drink and these were decent, not overpowering but a quality drink. We ordered a couple cheeseburgers and fries and they we good. The grill is directly behind the bar so you can see the cook in action. A bonus for me. It's a typical quality bar burger. Plenty of TVs located around the bar. The clientele was mostly 40+ yr old males. Someone ask the bartender if they had any specials and the said it was ladies night. I counted 2 ladies in the bar and over 30 men. To be fair it is softball season so a lot of guys in their softball uniforms. The guy next to me was younger and really drunk. I'm all for getting "hammered" periodically but he kept talking about driving home and that should a sign to stop drinking. I saw the bartender do 4 shots with him while I was there for about 2 hours. (A John Taffer "No No" for anyone that watches Bar Rescue ) All in all... a decent belly up, beer, and a shot bar. Sometimes you just don't want the fluff and just want to throw a few cold ones back with the close friends and this is that type of bar. No somewhere I would suggest a first date or you mom but a good place for friends that aren't looking for anything fancy... or to pick up ladies. My sister and I was visiting another business in the same area and saw a sign that said "Fish Friday". We told our husbands about it because we were looking for a good All You Can Eat Fish..... As soon as we walked into the bar, it seemed friendly. However, when we found a table, the chairs and table were old and had horrible stains. It felt and looked dirty! It made us think that that kitchen was probably like that or worse. We placed our order anyways.... The Server came back to tell us that they ran out of fish!!!!!!!!!!!!! The owner is super mean towards the employees. I've gone there and herd him scream at the manager, who is literally always there. Like seriously, this kid is literally always freaking there. I've gone in there on multiple occasions, sometimes I've there around 1, left and came back around 10pm and he's still there. No one should be working that long. I come here frequently (3 times a week) and I've never not seen him. The manager is always super nice, but I can tell that he's very overworked. A Livonia local hot spot. It's the place where you drive by on five mile and don't look twice at it. Inside is a small bar with free pop corn, a few arcade games and darts. Thought I would try this place have not been there in years well getting out of car made me think why come here. I don't mind smokers but do have a problem when they throw their butts on grounds especially in front of business. Maybe should have problem with business owner too lazy to clean them up or give smokers to discard their butts pretty ugly and makes you wonder how clean the inside is. If I could leave a zero I would. Watch your bar tabs folks!!! I was charged for drinks that were never ordered on my tab. After discussing this with my waitress and the manager they stated they had a camera systems and could verify. I said please go and check then they still charged me and told me I wasn't welcome at their bar any longer. After I paid an 85 bar tab with no problem with a very generous tip they brought me an additional tab for drinks I wasn't even ordering. They tried to hustle me for someone else's tab. This isn't the first time the bench has over charged me. Watch your tabs, they are shady. My waitress was also on her 2nd day on the job. Ive been coming here for years, but not longer.
