An excellent burger! A good sear. Great seasoning. Great beefy flavor. A bun toasted to a perfect golden color. Fresh, cool, crisp veggies. Fully melted cheese. Things I would change: leaf lettuce, not the dreaded shredded lettuce. Next time I will ask for the sauce on the side - it muted the great beefy flavor. I ordered at the counter and my wait was short. The woman working the counter was friendly and efficient. The ambiance is "college carryout." The dining room and restroom were both clean. Will I return? Yes. read more

SuperCrisp seems super chill and really...it is. It has all the best things you can have (and vegetarian too!) They have Asian-Inspired hot dogs that are so decadent and fillllled with toppings. I mean each bite is actually 3 so you can get all the nuances of the ingredients. I leave with a full tummy and full heart every time I come by. It is really chill inside and there are a couple of tables outside as well, but it's also a perfect takeout meal. Worth coming by after a hangover, long day, or you simply just want a good freaking hot dog! read more

It was our first time here. We came to Detroit and we happened to see Mr Chime Time instagram post raving about this place so we decided to check it out. We were greeted immediately and with a smile. This place is like Asian fusion and Detroit soul all wrapped in one. We decided to dine in and that was a great choice. The restaurant was clean and bright. We chose kimchi fries, supercrisp burger, sweet honey hoisin wings and wasabi burger, curry hot dog, umami fries and funnel cake fries. Kimchi fries- so hot and spicy. Did not finish. Very interesting. Wasabi burger and umami fries-so tasty and great. Curry hot dog, wings and supercrisp burger was all very good. There were no crumbs left. We even played Trouble at our table as there were board games there. All in all, would definitely return. They had a lot of Yelp stickers on the wall. Lots of drinks options also. read more

Was in the mood for a crispy chicken sandwich while hanging out downtown so I finally got a chance to check out SuperCrisp! It's a cute, fast casual, WSU area spot. We chose to eat in, it was a late Sunday afternoon and wasn't busy, as we were the only ones dining in, and a few take out orders would periodically come in. We got a hot crisp chicken Sammy and umami fries, made it a combo with a drink. The prices were reasonable since the combo came to about $17 without a tip. The sandwich was very crispy, came with sweet pickles, onions, and slaw, but not as spicy as I'd hoped. My boyfriend said he'd get extra onions and pickles next time and I agree. Now the umami fries!!...those still live rent free in my head! They were crispy, salty, perfect amount of umami flavor!! We had some of our leftovers when we got home and I said the bite tastes like sushi! The nori flakes in the seasoning makes me think of the seaweed chips I love. I feel like they should sell that seasoning because I'd buy it! My boyfriend got the hot fries and they definitely had the heat I was looking for! More of that in the chicken sandwich please! I'll definitely be back to try ALL the fries especially the kimchi ones and the burgers and fish sammys! read more

First time trying SuperCrisp today- and was not disappointed! They have such a unique menu. I tried the spicy Tofu sandwich. It was delicious! The tofu was fried perfectly. Very crispy but not hard. And unlike any sandwich I've had. The kimchi was good too! Service was a little slow but they were busy. The coloring pages were a cute touch for while you're waiting. Cute restaurant. read more

Been here a few times now and I like it a lot. The fact that they have an abundant amount of vegan options is great. The food is a fusion you could say of Asian and traditional American and it is very flavorful. If you like spicy foods they do that well too. Our usual go to is the Unami fries, spicy cucumbers, and a vegan burger. This time we switched it up and went with the spicy fried tofu and it was really good (my only knock on it would be it was slightly greasy) but it was nice a spicy with a nice crunch to it. As for the service, every time we come the people working are always very friendly, engaging, and happy to answer any questions we might have. The place is located in Midtown on the Wayne State campus so it has a little college vibe to it. It's decor is fun with a lot of fun things on the walls which gives it a bit of a manga feel to it too. They also have a small patio area to eat at too which is nice if you don't feel like eating inside.Overall I have to say that if you're looking for to try something different and tasty give SuperCrisp a try. read more

Saw a TikTok of this place and my friend also recommended it. Overall my experience was okay. The food was good and very flavorful. The kimchi fries were actually pretty spicy, which was unexpected, but they were still good. I always love trying out Asian fusion places. I didn't realize there was a service fee included in the total bill. I still gave a tip, but there was barely any service. The cashier brought the food to our table, but we had to clean up our own table like any fast food place. Nothing wrong with it, but for the cost of it all, it's a bit lacking. They had the tv playing, but it wasn't very busy and it was quiet. I'd say this place is more of a takeout place. The rating is more towards the food. read more

Ohhh man. Supercrisp is so very good! I was waiting next door at Ima for some ramen and a few other carryout dishes for my family but I was starving and wanted something I could snack on during my drive home (noodles are not the easiest for that!) so I ran over to SuperCrisp and ordered a side of umami fries (topped with garlic, sesame, nori, and chili lime sea salt) and a yuzu strawberry lemonade. Both were excellent. The serving size on the fries was generous and I definitely ate more than I should have given I had a full order of noodles waiting for me. But I just couldn't stop! I crave them on the regular now. Everyone working here was SO nice! It was a bit busy for dinner but everyone was still very friendly and helpful. The place itself is very casual, no frills when it comes to seating for dining in but still colorful and comfortable. Next time I fully intend to add a sandwich to my order of fries but those alone are worth a visit for me! read more

I've been wanting to try SuperCrisp for several months, and today was the day! I ordered the wings with a honey ginger sauce and umami fries. Their staff is pleasant and they were busy! It's my first time here, so all of my questions were answered. It took longer than I expected for my carry out order to be ready- so if you're in a rush it may not be ideal. My food was hot and crispy! I enjoyed it, but will order then drive to pick it up next time. They have metered street parking and ample seating. The setting is casual and it was noticeably neat and clean! read more

Somewhat of a disappointing experience. Ordered online for takeout thinking that would be faster. Ended up waiting 20 minutes past the original ETA and there wasn't much urgency from the staff. Now on to the food. An extremely average burger. Nothing special about it. Lacking in seasoning; really lacking flavor. The fries had a unique seasoning on them (almost citrusy like a lime salt), but they were like sticks texturally and were freezing after only a few minutes. Overall, not the greatest experience. read more

Excellent. This restaurant is excellent in every way. They absolutely smashed my ridiculously large order, and got everything right...and they did it with incredible speed, impeccable attention to detail, and service that easily brings a smile to anyone's face! The restaurant itself is fastidiously clean, simply decorated, and it seems like it's designed to keep the focus on the main event: the food. The food is delectable, and I wish I had more money, mouths, and the metabolism of a hummingbird just so I could eat as much of it as I want, because every single thing I ordered from here was so damn delicious. They did not miss on a single item, and it was all so well done that I nearly got back in my car and went back to order another round of food for the next day! read more

Super YUM! I was overwhelmed with the flavor and enjoyed every bite! I'm still in the chicken sandwich craze, looking to try everyone's version, and Super Cripsp's did not disappoint. Twice-fried, crispy yuzu-ginger chicken thigh, Kewpie slaw, pickles, lemon mayo, red onion. I made mine spicy, and it was not 5-alarm or unedible, just a nice warm kick to elevate the already scrumptious and sumptuous flavor. We ordered out, so I can't speak to the general ambiance of the place. But I have interacted with the staff more than once, and they always seem to be in good spirits, with warm smiles, happy to offer suggestions, and quick to engage with people walking through the doors not to keep them waiting long. 10/10. I can't wait to go back and try the kimchi fries! read more

This one is hard because I wanted to love this place. The street parking is kind of difficult. However, it is in a semi busy area so even if you have to park farther away, it's walkable. Definitely take a look at the menu, because I was under the impression this was a chicken place, and that's not that case! Almost all the food has an Asian twist, so it's just a different vibe than what I thought the name suggested. When we first walked in, the staff was very non-impressive. They were kind of short with us. We ordered our 3 food items: oki fries, a super crisp burger, and a spicy chicken sandwich, and it came to over $50. We sat down at one of the few tables they had (it was pretty small inside) and the guy who came to bring us our food was really nice. The atmosphere was okay; they were playing good music but it was much too loud. I did like the large windows looking out to the street, though. At first glance the food looked really good. The burger was mid at best. The chicken was good but also nothing extremely special. The fries themselves were good, but I just personally wasn't a huge fan of the flavors added. I think if you were already in the area, liked this type of Asian inspired flavors, and didn't mind that it was small inside, this might be the place for you! I just wouldn't spend time trying to go back there. read more

SuperCrisp - Fried Chicken Sandwich Hot Fries - Fast Food Near Me - Detroit, Michigan

SuperCrisp is one of those places that just *hits the spot*. My go-to orders are the spicy pickles (you need a balance for the heavier stuff!), literally any of the crispy bites (tofu, chicken or fish - I rotate through depending on the mood!), and a side of umami fries. Burgers and hot dogs are great too, but I'm a lighter lunch orderer and that's when I'm usually here. One thing I love about grabbing a quick bite here is how fast everything is made - super fresh but you never have to wait a long time. I also love that a lot of their drink selection is bottled so you can take it to go post-meal. And, the icing on the SuperCrisp cake - the staff. Everyone is so friendly, exceptionally patient while I try to decide what tasty thing to order, and they have great recommendations for first timers. This is a gem of a spot! read more

Cute burger spot in midtown in the heart of the Waye state campus. I went with a friend and we ordered a supercrisp burger to share, hot fries, and umami fries. The smash burger was juicy and seasoned well. The hot fries were ok, but the umami fries were delicious. Finally stopped in to try SuperCrisp! It's located in the Cass Corridor right next to Ima and near Wayne State. They're known for burgers and fries type fare but they offer plenty of vegetarian and vegan options. I came for the spicy fried tofu sandwich which I 12/10 recommend. Make it vegan without the kewpie Mayo. Other things I tried: - spicy cucumbers - would recommend! - hot fries - so so good - would recommend My friend got the curry dog (vegan) and it looked so good that I ordered one to go. We also tried their crispy tofu bites which were also so delicious. Prices are pretty great for what you get ($5-11/item). Parking is available on the street or in lots nearby, the staff were so friendly and they played some fantastic throwback hip hop and R&B. Was super excited to try this place based on a food critic who's been in town reviewing spots. I wanted to try before then but the google reviews were iffy. I wanted to like this place more than I did but I'm sad to say I probably won't return. The customer service was good. They were quick and attentive. We sat inside and ate. It was nice and clean inside. The chicken sandwich which was had by my brother, he strongly disliked. He said it tasted like straight lemon. He also said it tasted old. It wasn't old, it was the fact they used a chicken thigh and it was mostly fat towards the end. I tasted it for myself. It was bland and greasy. He got the Umami fries with them and they tasted like nothing. The fish bites were ok. They gave me mayo and pickles to eat with them. I thought that was odd but the pickles cooled down the spicy-ness of the fish bites. I didn't get a pic unfortunately. The kimchi fries were good but extremely spicy! I like spicy food but they were kind of too spicy. I loved the green onions and French onions, kimchi and sauce they put on them. Those fries are really thin though. I hate skinny fries. Strawberry lemonade was ok. Overall I give this place a 6. I can say I've been but not interested enough to return. read more

I like yall. Yall real creative in there and I can respect that. The wings? Fire. Yall need more than two flavors cause the quality of wing yall got is very good. The honey joint a little more soy than anything, but it's still good so I didn't care. The hot one is hot... and if you can't do hot stuff. Proceed with caution. The kimchi fries was good but I like my food steaming hot so the kimchi bring a cold element to it. Wasn't bad. Just not sure if it's 100% for me. My girl loved it though. Also. Very spicy if you into that. Underrated about super crisp. The playlist in there was wonderful. So thanks for that. read more

They should have sent a poet. Hands down the best fried chicken sandwich I've ever had. The chicken. The bun. The onions. The sauce. The fries. I would use adjectives, but the adjectives you would need to describe how frigging amazing this is haven't been invented yet. Listen! Found this place while looking for lunch on a Uber eats! Browsed the menu and was INSTANTLY intrigued. They are karaage fried sandwiches, unique burgers & hot dogs, salads, snacks & healthy comfort food. AND they have options for vegetarians, pescatarian, and vegans alike. That's big! Tried the fried fish sandwich. It was delicious. Love that they give you the option for the sauce on the side. Everything was perfect. The crisp on the fish. The flavor! Great fish sandwich. I'm even intrigued to try the tofu one. The OC fries were solid. Super crispy with good flavor. I wish the side curry slaw and crab salad was bigger. Great restaurant! Food was really good. It took about 15 minutes to get our food but it came out fresh. The spicy fries were spicy but still manageable! What a "new" restaurant should be... Supercrisp isn't some boring place with the same old chicken sandwiches burgers and hotdogs... there are sooo many different fresh flavors to each menu item: wasabi mayo, pickled ginger, chili lime sea salt etc. all of the flavors mesh so well too! I had a wasabi burger and fries, came back the next day for the fried chicken sandwich and the kali dog... all were pretty tasty in my opinion, with the fried chicken sandwich being darn near perfect. It's pricey for a burger joint ($20 for a sandwich fries and drink) but on par with most specialty burger places... I do believe there's a discount for Wayne state students too.
