Took the kids to Mickey Ds this morning on vacay mainly because McDonald's sent me a "We miss you text for Breakfast" text! I knew it was a marketing ploy but hehey, it's nice to feel missed by someone even McDonald's!! We all went in cause the kids LOVE to dine in! It was extremely neat and clean! Too neat and clean! VERY ununinviting! There is NO DRINK STATION! NO CONDIMENT STATION! NO NAPKINS, STRAWS, S/P...NOTHING! We are all standing there, a family of four and she says "Is this for here?" I'm like yeah! Why would we all come in if we aren't eating here??? to myself.. But, I was nice! I placed the order and we found seats. Whoever owns this store should look hard at their employees. I paid then was told to move forward to the next window which was fine. There I picked up drinks and they told me to move forward to window 2 to get my food. After sitting there for awhile a woman came out, handed me the food and rudely told me that I was supposed to wait in a parking spot. I've been using McDonald's mobile app for quite a while. 75% of the time, it works and saves time as well. So, I used the app this morning at the McDonald's on A1A in Daytona. The app worked, so I head over. Get in line 2 since there was 1 car giving their order. I wait for my turn. The car moves up, another pulls up, gives their order, and moves up. I'm still waiting. Yet another vehicle pulls up, gives their order, and pulls up. I try to get the attention of the person taking the orders asking if anyone can hear me, three times i ask, nothing. So I pull out, go around the building, and get in line 1 behind 2 vehicles. I looked over at line 2, where I sat for about 8 minutes, and they gave their order and moved forward. Finally, I get to the order position, give them my code, and they say move up. Now I'm waiting again since they are now backed up. I wait again, get to the window, I get my receipt and move to the food window and surprise, nothing and I'm asked to move up to the waiting area and I'm waiting again. Finally, after about 5 minutes more, my food comes out. I'm not sure what is going on inside this store, but this is unacceptable, especially since using the app is supposed to speed up the process. The food is standard McDonald's food. The problem is that they simply don't hire enough staff, and the staff they do have doesn't seem to work efficiently together. Fast food is supposed to be fast. This is a management issue that needs to be addressed. It could be effectively run, but it's not; which makes the customers irate. It seems the franchise owner wants to save money by not making napkins and ketchup available. These little things annoy the customers. The opening and closing times are erratic. read more

So many issues on my first ever visit here. I live nearby and would normally not come to a Mc Donald's unless I was traveling. The new "automated" ordering was not user friendly and never gave a receipt. It recommends you to take a table number and "someone will get your food" well I hadn't paid yet and needed an actual human (this was after I stood at the check-stand for several minutes like this poor guy) nobody said hello, nobody recognized me or this guy. They seem totally miserable and unhappy at their jobs. A man who was also waiting for a human decided to go behind the check-stand and search for a sugar- (they left it out of his drive thru order) so he already WAITED IN LINE AT DRIVE THRU then waited to get the sugar and he went back there and the "manager " unleashed on him. Its apparent that they need an efficient manager who will manage the people who work there, they are failing miserably. Plus to speak to a customer like she did was unacceptable. When ordering a ten piece nugget they insisted I move forward and wait which is to help the timer at the drive through appear as though they are serving food at the allotted amount of time. Then when I agreed and moved forward they brought out a six piece around ten minutes later. Literally the worst experience. I ordered food for four at the N. Atlantic Ave store in Daytona Beach FL. I needed my food being that I work night shift and don't have time to cook, clean, eat and shower before going in. Well I ordered ahead and still waited 15 to 20 minutes for my food. It was cold and only my food was missing. My kids and husband got theirs with the exception of my husband's fries. I ordered a mango smoothie and the runner didn't make sure it was in the cup holder correctly. It immediately spilled all over my car. I generally love giving great reviews but today is not the day! Thought I would try the new crispy chicken sandwich today. Well, here we go... ordered and got home... pulled it out...and there it was... a over cooked, wilted, piece of chicken on a burnt bun. Ok, figured I would take it back and get a freshly cooked sandwich. When I arrived back at the restaurant I showed the manager the sandwich and was told it only looks that way because the oil is dirty (on day 10 of last oil change). I was assured if the oil was clean the chicken would "look like it should". I'm not kidding; this is what I was told.
