I can't remember the last time I had anything at McDonald's besides a large coffee, a hashbrown or oatmeal in passing or on roadtrips with my family. I met my friend nearby and we wanted a quick bite, but all of the other restaurants nearby were getting ready to close. We had to choose between this McDonald's and a Jack n the box. My friend insisted we went here to this McDonald's. He ordered us two diffrent meals, so we could mix and match. I wanted a bite of a cheese burger and a chicken nugget dipped in their hot mustard. I wanted to see if it still tastes like it did when I was a kid. When I was a kid, I recall their burgers were 29 cents on and 39 cents for cheeseburgers on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. Long gone are those days. When I told my kids that story, they said I was old. My older brother and I would save our allowance and sneak and buy McDonald's after-school without our parents knowing that we did this. That first bite gave me so much nostalgia. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Our food was hot and I was surprised by the freshness.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I had a few bites of the burger, had a nugget and a handful of fries. I tossed the leftovers so I wouldn't eat everything. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was disappointed by McDonald's getting rid of their hot mustard.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Although the food was fresh, the service was below average. There were two guys that went through the drive thru and one came back in for sauces. He was practically yelling for help while we ordered on their screen. There was a 15 minute lapse at least before a younger girl answered the young man. We were shocked because we heard full conversations going on in the back; they chose not to respond until our food was ready. We were given our food, no sauces or our drinks. We waited another 5 minutes or so maybe longer for our drinks. We were the only table in the restaurant. The tables weren't wiped down, dining room and restrooms weren't clean. I'm not sure what teenage drama was going on, but watched one of the employees go sit at a table then storm outside to his car. Thanks for taking me back down memory lane. I was hoping I could get this place out of one-star review territory, unfortunately, that is still not possible. Prices are even more astronomical than before, and many items are out of stock. Today it was forks and knives, syrup, and another customer ordered a caramel frappe only to discover their machine was broken again after cleaning. The employees do not care about the lack of service (I've had three different orders messed up in the past couple of months). Absolutely the worst. I have tried this McDonalds multiple times over the last year. They are consistently out of menu items, shakes, sodas, you name it. There are always abundant excuses as to why you can't get what you want at all hours of the day. Is it any wonder that the drive-thru is equipped with an "escape lane"? The staff is polite and apologetic but the problem rests on the shoulders of management. Ambience? A newer fast food stop and appears to be fairly clean. This is quite possibly the shittiest McDonald's on the planet. It's clear they have absolutely no fucks to give about customer service. Every order takes 30 minutes. The owner clearly refuses to pay a living wage, so it's run by high school kids with no grown up supervision. The doors are closed before closing hours. They take 30 minutes to bring an order out to your car. It's just a mess. Avoid at all costs. It'd be better to starve in the desert. I don't like giving 1 star reviews for any fast food place. It's fast food people. Run by minimum wage earners who may not be able to do better. So be nice. Having said that, I've been to this particular Micky D's a few times all over the board. (breakfast, lunch and dinner) Not on the same day....:-) Yesterday I ordered b-fast from the app. 2 McMuffins and one hash brown. McMuffins were suppose to have an extra egg and no cheese. It took 24 minutes in the drive through with 6 cars ahead of me. Got to the window, the kid tried to hand me a coffee. I didn't plan on eating here at Dayton McD's, but they sent us coupons, so we said what the hell let's give it a try. If I could I'd give them minus starts... Even with coupons it get expensive eating at what use to be affordable. The Mc Griddle was cold, hash browns were so greasy you could lube your car ! The poor young lady was working her butt off trying to keep up with the influx of people ordering food. I observed she had to run outside to the parking lot to take orders to the over fill from drive through. I was very concerned because of the path took her over a bunch of ankle breaker rocks to get to the parking lot. Seeing this I decided to just throw the food in the garbage and not complain but resolved never to come back! If this place stays open more that a year I'll be surprised! This used to be the worst McDonalds. I went a couple of times when it first opened it was horrible. Never went back. Saw the online reviews from time to time all the same=bad. So I am in Dayton looking for breakfast no way I will go to this McDonalds. The Taco Bell is out of iced coffee the Jack in the box is closed. No choice but this McDonalds. To my total shock and surprise they have an actual adult working there who is very friendly and efficient making up for any other deficiencies (and there are some). The McDonald's employee said they were too busy to take my order and my cash and that I should do my order with my card. Therefore they did not serve me and I went to Jack in The box. I get that you might be busy, but is important to still put effort into people's orders I asked for no pickles and came with pickles slapped on there hanging out and got a Dr Pepper, and was very very watery so I went up to the counter and was standing up there not even being dramatic for probably 15 minutes as this one lady looked at me at least seven times, and then would act like she's doing something but would just walk to the back as I tried to call for her multiple times and a new worker just arrived and walked by me five times but continue to help other people upfront.
