I rarely go to McDonald's anymore. When I do, it's a treat. Today I went inside Queen city McDonald's. We ordered two meals. We waited 15 mins from time of ordering till food was given. We were the only ones waiting inside, then two other customers came in. But still we waited 15 mins for two meals. I figure no big deal, at least it will be fresh.....NOPE. Both large fries were soggy & cold. Inedible. My chicken sandwich tastes of old lettuce & was very sloppy,( bun half way off, sauce all over etc). Slow service, bad food. Poor customer service, but we won't even get into that. And to top it off the restaurant who had zero people eating inside was dirty. Do better McDonald's. I know your standards are higher than that! read more

4 times. FOUR. I have sat at the drive-through speaker waiting for somebody to answer, and nobody ever did. Today, I watched five cars give up on orders, and I had to back all the way back around the building backwards because nobody was doing anything with the car that was sitting at the window, and all the other times I've had to pull all the way around to get somebody to assist me. The McDonald's located at this address is a hit or miss. You can either have good food with mediocre to great attitudes... or... you can get poor food, missing items, and awful attitudes. I ask for 3 more napkins, because I only got 2, and I ordered double quarter pounder w cheese, large fries, the manager, older slim white lady did not come up front, instead sent only a grill person; young man, only works grill!! No management shirt or other wise. He got very loud and beligerent w me, telling me to leave. Saying he was manager!! Totally wrong, and unprofessional!! He clocked out, at around 7:30 pm. And left. First of all, I was told they were out of quarter pounders. WHAT??? How is the even possible? Second of all, I sat in the drive thru line only to get to the window to be asked what I ordered. Third, I was given my food and the window shut. Waiting, waiting, waiting, hello, drinks please! Did someone order everything on the menu? Were they cleaning the ice cream machine? Service was slow, you had to ask to use the bathroom. One person was allowed in at a time. When a family member was in the restroom the manager locked her inside. My floors were very dirty you could see wet dirt footprints. Inside area was very hot, lots of customers were fanning themself. Our food order came out wrong ending up leaving because no one helped. read more

I'd give a ZERO if I could. Am I the 'only' one who goes to this McD's and their ice cream machine is ALWAYS down!! I haven't been lucky to get ice cream or a shake for 2 months now! & that was all I wanted, so no sale! And to top it off, it was lunch hour & I got stuck in the drive thru line waiting for everyone ahead of me to be served, because there is no way to get around the cars in the line! READ THIS REVIEW FIRST : I am a local and work downtown so I can give you a clear review of this McDonalds. Which I will paint with vivid imagery: LOCATION: Near highway and downtown shopping. Unfortunately from 11AM-8PM the area "filth" frequent this area heavily. As a citizen of the city it pains me to describe them as dirty.. loud.. lewd.. obscene folk that are the able-body "disabled" and just pick up a check every month. If you want a learning tool for your child on what to scare them into being motivated to do homework.. wheel on in. This isn't something that McDonalds can help but still it takes away from your experience. Especially when you are solicited to give 10cents or asked if you have a cigarette. CLEANLINESS: The restaurant is usually kept well- good amount of seating yet from 6AM-9AM count on the elderly camped inside. Nothing wrong with that- you'll hear spirited discussion on politics, weather, and even alien abductions. STAFF: There is one manager that has it together, and a very courteous drive thru cashier but THAT IS IT. If Matt Leasure isn't in... Walk out and find another place. The front clerks are RUDE.. OBNOXIOUS.. DISRESPECTFUL.. And DISHEVELED. I've been going there for 5 years and ordering two lattes and get argued with on what I just ordered when they mess it up. EXECUTION : It is by far.. So, I came to town to photograph a statue that actually wasn't there, and ended up photographing the marker for the beginning of the National Road, since I've been on U.S. 40 in every state where it goes, and also on U.S. 66 in many of the states where it was and where I-40 goes now. I have a lot of headaches, and iced or frozen coffee usually works and the price at McDonald's is reasonable. The parking lot was full and the parking lot at the shopping center was nearly full, but I found a place. (What's with the parking in this town?) There seemed to be a lot of people hanging out around the store, and it seemed to be really busy. It wasn't too long (at lunch time, no less) for someone to wait on me. She tried to be cheerful, but she seemed to be dragging, probably since 5 a.m. She took care of my order and my mocha frappé, and got it to me quickly and it was as good as any I've had in the country. read more

On a recent road trip that took me through Western Maryland, I found myself in Cumberland in search of a bathroom and a snack. With a couple of options to choose from, I followed the signs to this nearby McDonald's. In what now seems like a fortunate sequence of events, I headed to the bathroom first. As it was a rainy afternoon, I slip-slided my way to the bathroom door. The tile, a slippery puddle-strewn mess was devoid of rugs or anything for that matter, to dry my shoes off on. Therefore, I literally skated to these back doors. In a rush to finish my business, it wasn't until I was washing my hands that I noted my audience. . . no less than 8 flies (yes, I counted whilst drying my hands), were perched on the walls with others buzzing around above my head. Horrified at the quantity found in this small area of the restaurant, I thought it best to not order food here. My male travelling companion unfortunately, recounted a similar tale as we exited the establishment. No thank you!!! read more

Some guy starting a fight with the security guard letting you know how enjoyable the evening will be. The worst part about it is that the staff behind the counter seemed used to it and one went out to calm the customer down after putting a rush on his order. By the time I got back to the motel and checked the order, I found the wrong pie was given to me as well as cold fries. I could have checked in the restaurant, but just wanted to get out of there. All I can say about this place, is that it is filthy - seems to be a common thread in their locations in Cumberland. Flies are everywhere. It seems like that drive-thru has priority, so you might have to wait a while to get your food. In the morning, there is a very sweet lady that works the drive-thru. she does make your day. They get very busy, but most are just local old folks ordering coffee and loitering with the rest of the unemployeed that sit there and chat about whats wrong with the nation......but I digress. It is, after all, McDonalds. A place that has become know for food as poor as the service. The place is dirty as well even though they have modified the place. I went through the drive-thru this morning at about 10:00 am. The service and food were as expected. BUT EVERY SINGLE PERSON (including the manager) was wearing their face mask INCORRECTLY. With the exception of the young man at the cash window, every other employee I saw (4 others) were wearing their masks below their noses. There is absolutely no point wearing a face covering if it is not covering your face! Respiratory droplets can be released from your nasal passage as well! By the way, I too work in the food industry and wear a cloth mask with no problems all 5-8 hours of my shifts. Yes, it is uncomfortable and hot and annoying. But it is necessary and it DOES NOT inhibit your breathing as a healthy, functioning-enough-to-have-a-job person! Take this seriously! read more

I love McDonald's but unfortunately have never had a good experience from this particular location. The employees are always rude. Cashier one time yelled at my boyfriend cause he wasn't specific enough on what drink he wanted. Another time I parked outside the window to wait for a friend and employees began to gather around the window laughing at me. I tried to get out of my car and let them know I was waiting for a friend and not just loitering, that i was about to come inside, and they just laughed even harder. Another time they got smart with me cause I asked what comes on one of the sandwiches I'd never had before. Just all around a rude staff and I will never eat at this particular McDonald's again. Wow... I never thought I'd be so mad and have such a bad experience at the place that's known for "putting a smile on your face"... II go to the store via drive through order my food, the man cuts me off, I ask him if hes still there, I sit at ordering station for a moment or two then drive to the window. where i have to finish placing my order... The man was so rude and hateful to me, when I mention it to him he gave me a shit eating grin and closed the window on me. I was so mad I went into the store and asked for a manger. She told me she had heard everything that had gone on and there was nothing wrong with what the man had said to me or done to me... Check your bag if your order is to go. They almost always forget multiple items. The manager Gail is very nice and professional. Some of the cashier's are nice, some are not lol. Sometimes the food is cold and old and sometimes it's hot on occasion. The locals are an interesting bunch that hangout outside, I guess that's why they have 24hr security. read more

On June 15,2018 I came into Cumberland Maryland by Amtrack train from Washington D.C. It was 7:30 and I had not had anything to eat all day. I was walking into town from the train with one small suit case, I saw the McDonald's at 22 Queen City Dr. and went in for dinner. I was approached by a very large man with tattoos covering both arms and wearing street clothes. He said in an angry manner " you have to leave that bag outside" I said I had just walked from the train and that I was traveling on the train. He replied we have no tolerance for bags here, you can not bring that bag in here. Being just across from the train station you are going to get people with some type of a bag and what about the people who have been shopping in the stores right near that McDonald's? That McDonald's should be forced into being a drive through only by the corporation. read more

So, every McDonald's has its audience/ customers and this is no different. I've been to inner city McDonald's where you were lucky to get a smile if you got your order right. This one has it's share of characters: older folks to stay for a while and drink coffee and shoot the bull with each other (almost like Cheers), and you have the traveling bums, indigents, junkies, and just the rest of us regular hungry people. Since it's very difficult for the establishment to pick and choose their customers, I'll get to reviewing the site and the staff. I have been in here more than once when the floors felt like they were deep fried. That means they were using the wrong mop in the wrong place. They often leave out wiping rags which is also a no no. The soda fountains and condiment area could use more attention more often by wiping things down and better organization. The bathrooms could use attention more often (speaking of the ladies room) as it can get messy with paper towels, used diapers, etc they need a bigger trash can than the one under the sink. The staff do a pretty good job with food considering the volume of people moving through during the typical breakfast, lunch, dinner rushes. I order a value meals as it is and I've never gotten it wrong or any less quality than was typical. read more
