Today again went inside, as the drive thru looked like a rock concert. It seemed to be moving, but it's nice to be back here. Am still not thrilled about the kiosks. Having my teenage son helped a lot. Strangely here they don't bring your drinks to you here, although it's possible due to staffing or amount of customers. Either way not a deal breaker. This is the worst McDonald's I have ever set foot in. For starters, they gave me the wrong drink when it says the drink clear as day on the order ticket. The highest rating any McDonald's can receive IMO is three stars as it is hard to be a "Fan" of McDonald's. Nearly every fast food restaurant is having difficulty finding workers, much less pleasant ones, however this McDonald's has a particularly grumpy crew. Just another bad experience at this McDonald's. I mean anymore they are all pretty bad across the US, but at least some can count and get the orders correct. Literally have employees that can't even count to 2. Order was placed online. Went to drive thru and did all we were supposed to, then get to the window and get asked what did you have. I tell them and they look at me with a blank look like I'm speaking in cursive. Then I hand them my receipts and they slam window. First, the line was dog legged to 29 business. With McDonald's already a slow business I knew I was in for it. Yep. I could have just walked in but I didn't. Took 34 min to get to the window. To order however, there are two boards and mic's. But apparently someone didn't come to work, or, like every other place in the world these fans they were simply shot staffed. Once i walked in no one was present on the register after being seen walking in from the door that faces inside of the kitchen. I had to order on the kiosk and once i got my food i had to yell around the corner for my drink cup. I came with 2 other people who was paying separately and they both had to yell and grab someone's attention from the kitchen and it wasn't even busy, to get their large drink cups they paid for. And not only that a clearly teen in a dark red shirt was taking their order with his phone in his hand. More interested into the text messages than his own work environment and customers. When we 3 asked for our paid cups we were getting irritated because we had to try to grab children's who's supposedly "working" attentions because they were too busy on their phones and playing around instead of helping to finish not only drive thru orders but in store orders. After we finally got our whole meals we went to the self serving drink station which had pepsi and other sodas mixed spilled all across on the counter with drink lids everywhere. So maybe instead of being on y'all's phone probably clean the lobby space up because tables were a mess as well. I understand if there was a "rush" and didn't have time to get to that but if you're only having a total of 10 customers inside and employees walking beside the mess then thats no excuse. The slowest McDonald's I have ever visited. Drive through on a Monday night at 10pm took me a half hour to get through. I gave it a second try one weekday at 3pm and decided to go inside to see if it would be faster. I rather quickly was able to place my order - a simple hamburger and small fries to go. I stood off to the side for 12 minutes before I got my order. I could see the drive through line piling up outside as well. The staff has no sense of urgency and only works on one order at a time - painstakingly slowly! There is no multitasking. When I finally received my order and got to my car, I saw that there were no napkins in the bag. So much for "to go". Note that neither of my visit times were during their lunch or dinner rush. Unless you have time to kill, go somewhere else for a meal or snack. This is NOT fast food. read more

This is one of the worst places to get fast food. No one washes their hands, wears gloves, or masks. They touch your money, the register, the bathroom, and then your food. The employees are rude, cussing, have headphones in and can't hear you. Took me 15 mins just to order food when i was the only one in line. The only ones actually doing stuff are the "managers", who still don't listen to you. The bathrooms are dirty with feces on the toilets and empty soap dispensers. It's obvious that most other reviewers are only reviewing because they happened to have a bad experience. Every time I've gone to this McDonald's it's been as expected. I'm writing this today because of my breakfast experience this morning. Sandra was working the drive thru and made everyone feel very welcome. More fast food employees should be like Sandra and make the customers feel like they are appreciated. I know it's silly to think they all really want to be there, but part of the job is to be there and be friendly, and I don't see a lot of that from most fast food employees. Sandra is an exception. Kids meal was missing apples again, my chicken sandwich was hard as a rock, literally could not eat it and the customer service was abysmal. This seems to a recurring theme at this location, with no sign of it getting any better. I will not be returning to this location any time soon. Biggest case of bait-and-switch ever. Here's a tip to all you hungry drivers on the James Madison Highway approaching the Fredericksburg Rd exit, who suddenly spot a huge billboard with those beautiful golden arches compelling you to exit: KEEP DRIVING! Being new to this area and starving for some nutritious morning grub before I jetted to New York, I unwittingly exited here, expecting to see a McDonald's within a few blocks. This mistake almost cost me my flight out of DCA. The first sign told me to keep on driving, so I drove a mile-and-a-half down Fredericksburg wondering where the hell civilization was. Just as I was about to turn back, another sign told me to take a right on Main. "Great, must be right down the block," I figured. WRONG. This error in judgement proceeded to take me through another mile-and-a-half stretch of some of the slowest, two-laned small-town traffic you could ever imagine, straight through downtown Culpeper and all her wonderful mom-and-pop shops. At this point, I knew should have turned back, but had no idea if I was almost there, so of course I kept on driving, though all 10+ minutes of Main St morning traffic. FINALLY, I spotted what I'd been waiting for for 20 full minutes...only to see that the drive-through wrapped around the entire brick building and then some. So I said screw it and left. Unfortunately, my GPS then took me down a 25 mile farmy detour called Rixeyville Rd, before I was finally able to reunite with the 29. Burned through my entire 1-hour buffer time. This type of baiting via the use of multiple signs is like dangling a piece of meat in front of your nose and making you run in circles for 20 minutes, only to find that the meat was tofurkey all along. It should be illegal. Avoid this McDonald's at all costs, if simply for the shady advertisements and ridiculously long lines. read more
