We went through this drive thru on our way home from Mesa verde. The line was long and moved pretty slow. When we got our food, a sandwich was missing. We pulled to the side and one of us ran inside to go grab it. During that time, the drive thru employee came out and said we need to move since we are in the spot for people who are waiting for their food. We told her we were there cause someone went inside to get our missing item. She still said we have to move which was extra annoying because there was no way to get to the other side of the parking lot other than driving around the block. Yesterday I went to get dinner and there lobby was closed due to "short staffed" but there were 12 employees inside the restaurant I work at is ran by 3 people at night therefore I think they should be able to run the lobby and it was an hour before the posted time when the lobby closed when I had asked one of the workers there her name is tavooch lamen she rudely answered were short staffed I responded with your door says 11 that's false advertising no matter how much staff you have I believe I was treated rudle and was turned away when I wanted dinner not like I wanted to stay in their thrashed lobby anyways read more

If you are considering a place to eat in Cortez, Colorado look wayyyy further than McDonald's. First when we arrived 10:22pm we planned to order and eat in the dining room because we had a 20ft stock trailer attached to our dually pickup truck that we did not think would fit through the drive-thru but when we got to the doors they were locked. (Even though there was a sticker on the door saying the dining room was open until 11:00 pm). So like any average hungry person we decided to walk through the drive-thru which I was really excited about. We walked to the drive-thru, and even though there are no other vehicles, no one would respond to take our order, so again we take matters into our own hands and walk around the corner to the pay window. There are 4 employees inside staring at the upper corner of the building laughing and pointing at a camera screen (that I think is us). When the girl opens the window, my mom says, "hello we would like to order." The girl says they can't serve us because we were not in a vehicle. My mom asks, "Can you fit a trailer through here?" The employee says, "yes if you don't hit the signs." (This is after going back to speak to her manager twice.) We walk back to go get our vehicle because IF YOU ARE NOT IN A VEHICLE THEY WILL NOT SERVE YOU. And as we walk back we notice that the line has grown by 5 cars. By the time we get to our truck, 3 more cars have also joined the line. When it's finally our turn to order, we sit and wait again. (Our trailer has only cleared by a couple inches.) We finally order our food then proceeed to the pay window. Our truck and trailer barely fit through, using both lanes and hitting one curb. My mom has to walk up to the pay window because there was not room for the trailer to turn and line up with the window. As my mom pays, she asks why the dining room doors were locked before 11pm? And the lady replies, "on nights when we are short staffed we will often close the door early," and my mom says, "ok thank you," because we at least got to pay and proceed to get our food. We make sure we have everything we ordered, and luckily we checked because we did not have the nugget sauce that my sister ordered. Another girl walks by and gives us a weird look. My mom waves and asks for the sauce, and shocker it takes her a solid 2-3 minutes to get it. By this time the line is very backed up, and it is 11:09pm... to top it all off those were the worst tasting hamburgers that we have ever had, and I would say I have pretty good judgement considering we eat at McDonald's a lot for convenience, which we did not receive this time. So I hope your experience is better, but if it is late avoid McDonald's, especially if you want to save yourself about 50 minutes. read more

This place was filthy the kids area where it should be clean very disgusting. This McDonald's the customer service was terrible. There were four workers including the manager who was too lazy to clock in her employee so she gave her the employee her number smh. Also I asked for a half cut tea and the employee mentioned they did not have any. lol my daughter needed to order to go see so went to the drive through but guess what they had tea. Stood at the front counter for 15 minutes and they wouldn't even acknowledge us, let alone wait on us! Had to use the kiosk. But I wanted service at the front counter. Because I filled out the survey last time I was here and gave them one star for crappy service. So I had the code that the survey generates. But I couldn't use the code because they wouldn't wait on us. There was three managers who stood with their backs turned to us. read more

I'm only adding this review because of an amazing experiment with this McDonald's. I never eat McDonald's, but I had such a great experience with a young female employee. My earbud fell out of my pocket at the Taco Bell next door. I had already driven 20 miles down the highway. I called Taco Bell and they wouldn't answer the phone to go look in the parking lot. I called McDonald's and the nice girl went out to look and was going on her break, and walked in the cold wind to look for me. She said to call her back in 10 minutes. Taco bell finally picked up and looked but didn't find it. I then called McDonald's and the girl found it! I was so happy to go back and get my headphone back! If you want to be ignored by multiple staff members all at once when you're standing right to front counter, then you should come here, they'll even look right at you and then turn away again and keep ignoring you. I stopped here on my way through town on a camping trip and received this ridiculous service. I need to get some ketchup because the ketchup dispensers were out in the dining room and I need some sweet and low for my iced tea and there was none in the dining room so I went to the counter to get both of those and was roundly ignored for about four minutes before I finally went back to my seat. This has been the only McDonald's I've gone to for 5 years, the success rate for orders bring correct has always been hit & miss. But that's probably to be expected. Today I got a double quarter pounder which was *almost* exactly what I asked for, unfortunately it didn't have 2 quarter pounder patties, it had one and the 2nd was a close to burnt, dry regular patty. This McDonald's is very clean if something is wrong with anything they are very efficient in dealing with the issue right away. The long lines through the drive-through go very quickly sometimes it's easier just to go in and order I've been using the app and racking up a lot of points I like the app because I can order and it's real quick when I'm going through the drive-through touchless don't have to touch anything don't even need the receipt go to the first window everything's paid go to the second window pick up your food and you're out no waiting no telling to go over to the other side and wait or third window. This McDonald's actually serves your food to your table (unlike the city). It has a nice play area and is open pretty late which is a life saver in the Winter time. The only thing that sucks is there are some really bratty foul children that go through there and my kids keep running into them. They are rude and flip my 9year old off and the parents dgaf. When we arrived this morning at about 8:45, both lanes were jammed full. I had already ordered two large decaf coffees on the mobile order. I chose "pick up at the counter," but when I walked in they said the dining room was closed. So we went out to the curb side pick up and waited about two minutes until our coffee came out! The food is typical McDonald's but the service is awful! The older lady that took our order seemed to be on a very short fuse and very irritable. The place is very dirty and you have to clean off your own table. The soda station is filthy and is out of ice. There was no ketchup at the dispenser and napkins were out too. This is the 3rd freaking time they have not put the fries or forgot something in my order. I live quite a distance outside of town and it is disappointing that the grill crew has forgotten something. None of those managers mitigated the line backed up in plain site of the meeting. Mcdonalds fail... This place has some heavy rushes but the management in their meeting had no excuse not to mitigate the long lines... I understand it's meeting time, but they forgot the customer. Another draw back is the employees smoking right next to the doors. I understand it's fast food and quality of the experience isn't the goal: an effort would be appreciated to earn another star.
