I went to McDonald's for a quick meal and somehow aged 10 years waiting for my food. Ordered a cheeseburger and fries--simple, right? Wrong. The fries were cold, the burger looked like it lost a fight, and the soda tasted like it was 90% ice and 10% sadness. The ice cream machine was, of course, "broken" (as always--legend says it's been broken since 1997). The workers looked like they were fighting demons behind the counter, and honestly, I don't blame them. I left still hungry, slightly confused, and questioning why I even came here. McDonald's really said "I'm lovin' it" but forgot to tell me who is. Would only come back if I'm desperate, it's 2 a.m., and all other food on Earth has disappeared. read more

Worst costumer service!!!!! Lady with the patchy dead faded pink hair was so rude and unprofessional. I asked for a coffee with caramel drizzle and didn't get the drizzle. When I told her she answered very rudely and told me that it was mixed in and proceeded to slam the window shut. When I tried the drink it was so plain and definitely did not have caramel drizzle. Got 2 quarter pounds for my boyfriend and I and when I went to go and eat mine. The outside of the box was covered in grease, didn't think anything of it just thought maybe they had grease gloves on whatever. I open the box and there was even more grease on the inside! This has ALWAYS been a favorite and great quick lunch so close to work. But today stopped in today can't say I will ever return. Today for lunch I did not order anything crazy a happy meal, McDoubles and filet o fish. Worst meal ever. Fries old, cold. and soggy, burgers old, dry and cold. I paid and had to wait for my order an additional 7-8minutes mind you no one in line or inside, only to find out order was wrong. So I had to park walk in and get my right food. The Manager directed the counter rep to get my right food they took my bag took put the wrong food put it in the hopper and the drive thru person came and scooped it up bagged it and gave it to the drive thru customer. We ordered 2 breakfast platters and a sausage biscuit, they asked us to move forward because our food was not ready, when the guy came out with the food he stated "extra butter and biscuit sandwich is in the bag", got home and there was No biscuits, no jam for the platters. I really expect more from McDonalds. I know, it's CRAZY to expect a store that trains their employees the same worldwide to live up to the minimal standards required to slap a burger together, wrap it in paper, stuff it in a bag with some napkins, and hand it to a customer in the fastest way possible. But ... well, I kinda expect some kind of baseline competency from a company that's been around for 82 years. I had to drop off a package at one of the car dealerships on the other side of the freeway and was kinda hungry. In-N-Out was too crowded (as it always is), and I had the McDonald's app on my phone, so I figured I could order a quick bite and jump back on the freeway before traffic built up. I ordered one of their specials - A Quarter Pounder with cheese, 10-piece Chicken McNuggets, and a large unsweetened iced tea. After putting in my order I headed over to the restaurant and pulled into space number 4. I told the app that I was there, it said it saw me there, and that it could take up to 5 minutes for the order to be delivered curbside. So I waited. ...and waited... ...and waited... Everyone who was in the drive-thru line when I got there had cycled through, as had the few that showed up after I parked. ...and waited... ...and waited... and - FINALLY - a crew member came out with a few bags and a large drink. This entire scenario took 15 minutes. FIFTEEN MINUTES! But at least the crew member was surly. she handed me my drink and stuffed the bag through the car window while I was still juggling the drink, so I accepted it. I asked her if everything was in the bag as she walked away, ignoring the question completely. Opening the bag, I discovered that there were no napkins. I also noticed that the iced tea was just tea. No ice. None at all. Now, having an extensive background in fast food, I know that you put extra ice in a fresh brewed iced tea because it melts quickly. Apparently, this knowledge isn't common among the newer crop of fast food servers. With those two errors and 15 minutes to get hangry, I decided that it was time to go into the store and get my grievances aired. Taking my iceless iced tea with me, I approached the counter and was immediately met with a complete and total air of shilly-shallying. No one had any interest in addressing the only customer at the counter - me. So I used my outside voice and said "excuse me." A crew member sauntered over and asked me what my order number was. I said I already got my order, and he started to walk away. So - having gained at least some minor portion of something that could be construed as focus - I said I didn't get any ice in my tea and that I needed some napkins. The crew member walk away, consulted with the fry cook, then the burger assembler, and finally with a crew lead. He then walked over to me, shrugged, and said they didn't have any napkins. Didn't. Have. Any Napkins. In a restaurant that sells food that practically requires napkins for everything from their fries to their Big Macs, they didn't have any napkins. Deciding that speaking any further at that point would be a bad idea, I simply left. I hopped into my Jeep and headed out to the signal so I could get back on the freeway. The light does take a few minutes, so I opened up the Quarter Pounder with cheese and the McNuggets box. (I'm a veteran of the Covid years; I can eat and drive at the same time. I've had two years of practice). Grabbing a McNugget, I took a bite and had a mushy mouthful of room-temperature chicken-flavored goo slide into my mouth. Sampling a few of the other McNuggets, I found that the first one wasn't an outlier; they were all room temperature. It was disgusting. Speaking of disgusting, I took a swig of warm iced tea to clear my palate and proceeded to the Quarter Pounder with cheese. The burger, like the McNuggets, was tepid. Slimy, even. It was gross. It's been a few decades since I worked behind the fast food counter, but - as I recall - food that had been sitting around for a while - like this stuff obviously had - is supposed to be discarded, not served to customers. Overall, the entire meal - burger, McNuggets, and non-iced iced tea - was inedible. I wasted money to pick up old food and transport it to an offsite trash can. There are many choices out there. In retrospect, it probably would have taken less time to go to the busy In-N-Out, and I would have had fresh food and drink served by professionals who care about the customer. TL;DR: avoid this McDonalds at all costs. read more

A McDisaster Rating: (If only negative stars were an option) As an ardent fan of fast food, I can safely say that my recent trip to McDonald's was the culinary equivalent of a horror movie. This wasn't just another case of fast-food disappointment; it was a symphony of mishaps conducted by the maestro of misery herself, Shirley. Let's start with the staff, or should I say, the kindergarten crew. Is McDonald's now running a summer camp for children? Because it certainly seemed so with the miniature-sized workforce scurrying around. Poor things were being bossed around like animals at a petting zoo. And the ringmaster? None other than Shirley, who, with her name alone, conjured images of giggling cartoon characters and goofy antics rather than professional management. Despite the 'happy' in Happy Meal, there was nothing joyful about the wait time. It took an astonishing 2 hours and 53 minutes for three McChicken sandwiches. I've seen glaciers move faster. To add insult to injury, the end product was so sloppy it looked like someone had played a cruel game of 'Pin the Lettuce on the Bun' with my order. Speaking of cruel games, the outdoor experience was no better. It was like a Mad Max scene, with three homeless gentlemen deciding to reenact Fight Club. They seemed to think I was an extra in their post-apocalyptic saga. Then came the Drive-Thru Fiasco. Flat tire? Check. Adding to the ridiculousness, I had to navigate my now three-wheeled chariot through the pickup lane while praying to the gods of fast food to deliver me from this McHell. The restroom situation was nothing short of a biohazard. The women's restroom was 'out of order,' a sign I now believe was put up by the brave survivors who had ventured before me. Left with no choice, I braved the men's restroom, only to be met with the male manager in mid...procedure. The stench was so potent, it overpowered the aroma of the food in the lobby. But alas, let's return to our star, Shirley. Her love for extra mayo seems to be inversely proportional to her love for customer satisfaction. When I asked for some, she snidely suggested that I should make the sandwich myself. Ironic, considering that's what her job description entails. Worse still, Shirley's personal life seemed to be on the menu, too. Her sob stories about her divorce were served up with more frequency than the fries, all of this broadcasted through the drive-thru window. What truly takes the cake, though, was her blatant racism. Her snide comments and sideways glances towards Asian customers were more sour than the pickles on my McChicken. In this day and age, such behavior is as outdated as the deep-fried apple pies. In conclusion, if you fancy a side of chaos with your order, McDonald's, under the reign of Shirley, is the place to be. If not, you're better off avoiding this establishment like a stale Filet-O-Fish. Trust me, your sanity and stomach will thank you. read more

Went through the drive through earlier this evening. My total was $9.25. I handed the lady at the first window a $10 bill. I then reached into my ashtray and pulled out a quarter. I reached over and gave her the extra 25c. She said, 'you gave me too much money.' I said, 'Yes I know, but this way you can just give me a dollar back.' She sighed and went to get the manager who asked me to repeat my request. I did so, and he handed me back the 25c, and said 'We're sorry but we don't do that kind of thing.'
