On a sunny afternoon in late April, I was absolutely blindsided by a strong aroma. "What could this smell be?" I thought to myself. That's when I realized I was nearby a local staple in my community, McDonald's. As I walked up and viewed the beautiful golden arches I was hit in the face with the amazing memories as a child of wondering if god himself had created this beautiful scenic palace of hamburgers. I went in and was greeted with smiles, friendly faces and even cheers. I ordered the "McGangbang" and what do you know my food was out in quick 4 minutes and 53 seconds. I fought every urge in my system to scarf that hamburger down as I knew that I needed to savor this moment. In that moment I felt as if I was a royal knight returning home from battle and feasting with my fellow knights discussing war tales and listening to medieval tunes. After my food, fellow customers and I applauded for the staff and exited in unison as we knew this experience could never be replicated again. McDonald's, thank you. read more

Where to start with this tragic location?? First, they have the electric menu upon walking in and if you opt to order with a human instead, plan on waiting FOREVER for a human to say hello, acknowledge they have a customer and/or decide to walk up to the register to actually help you. I literally had to yell out to one of the 15 people bustling around in the back, "HELLO?? CAN I GET SOME HELP?!?" *Minus one star. Second, they don't have a soda machine in the eating area so customers cannot refill their "endless" drinks. I asked how I was supposed to get refills and was told, "We'll do it for you". When "they do it for you" plan on waiting another 15 minutes for them to make time to refill your drink. *Minus one star. Third, we tried placing another small order on their digital menu and the wanted to use the antibacterial pump located on the side of the machine afterwards. It was empty, no surprise here. *Minus one star Fourth, they only had one napkin machine and it was empty. *Minus another star. Lastly, my cheeseburger was gummy and tasted gross. All in all if possible, they would get negative 5 stars. This is by far the worst McDonald's in the area. The workers seem to have an issue dealing with actual people, and the only instruction they take is from the digital screen behind the counter. They don't even have the most basic customer service skills. If whatever they need to do is not listed on the screen behind the register they get flustered and can't figure out what to do. What should've been a seven minute transaction MAX, instead turned into a half an hour to 40 minutes because the robot people working there couldn't figure out what to do when faced with an ACTUAL customer and NOT a screen. read more

Mehhhh! It's Mcdonalds. Theres nothing positive about coming to McDonalds. Its not the same quality service as it once where back in the 90s. Pros: -Digital Kiosk on ordering, thanks to COVID -The McFries is the BEST since slice bread. I must admit here and now that McDonald's through the years has made it almost impossible to forget about the Sausage McMuffin Egg included. Simply put there is no substitute in the franchises world. Simple offering but truly one of its kind. Yes, I can prepare a variation at home, with similar sausage patties, chicken eggs cooked in a mold to mikeyD's likeness, correct muffin variety, even the hash browns, but when these babies are on sale, nowadays 2 for $6, I'm awake and on the go, and nearby one, and my wallet is singing in unison with me the let's go get it song, it will happen. Advice to the wise: if at all possible eat them as soon as possible, as newly dispatched from their oven beats reheated every time. We went to the drive-thru and ordered about $35 worth of food, drove 15 minutes home to realize we didn't get one item at all and our large fries were half full and cold. Our situation is a little special because the item we didn't get at all was for our brother who is handicapped and therefore particular about his food, and myself because I am diabetic and having low blood sugar, so although we hardly ever go to fast food it was urgent. Today I came back and as I walked in, a lady was walking out and said good luck. She left without ordering. My family and I were treated extremely rudely and ignored by staff and manager Steven at Notre Dame location in Chico. Breakfast menu was still on the board at 10:40am but refused to serve us when they served breakfast to the car directly before us. I informed them I can only eat the breakfast due to being vegetarian. There was cars in-front and behind us and they refused to let us out of the drive through so we could take our business elsewhere. I then went inside while the driver of the car was stuck in the drive through for 18 minutes. I even mentioned I was on a time schedule due to being on the way to the airport. The manager Steven and all the other staff continued to ignore me and continued to make food for other costumers. On Google it also stated breakfast is served until 11:00am. On top of that , they refused to provide me with corporates phone number when I asked and said " look it up yourself". If breakfast was still on the board , they should have honored that and served us, their lack of not switching to lunch menu and doing their job correctly is are not our problem. I am known to frequent one of the four local McDonald's from time to time, and I am known to pound down one too many McDoubles, becoming almost inebriated from the gustatory encounter. However, my refined palate suspects they produce these sandwich items largely with defrosted ground horse meat; my tongue knows of such things. But I must speak of my last adventure at the Ronald McDonald palace. This tale is not for the faint of heart, so cease your reading of my high caliber Yelp review now if you value the contents of your stomach. I was verbally assaulted and threatened by the Hamburglar. Yes, friends... I was sitting in my usual booth, minding my own thoughts, contemplating the menu, when the Hamburglar himself rushed into the establishment, seemingly agitated, and he strutted right up to my personal space and told me to sit down (which was odd, seeing as I was already squarely on my laurels) and to shut the hell up (which was also odd). He proceeded to expound questionable political ideas and conspiracy theories, such as that HUD is out to control our very thoughts as well as our bank accounts. He also told me to, "turn out my pockets, you Anglo-saxan scum," which I suppose was some kind of dig at the color of my skin. Soon thereafter, the police became involved, and defused the situation by unloading the contents of their handguns into the Hamburglar. Tell me to suck a dick in front of my four-year-old because I told him that the truck in front that was waiting for their food had a hitch on their truck and that people couldn't pull all the way up to the window to get their food. I went to McDonald's yesterday for a cool drink and place to work for a bit. Today I am at another local McDonald's and there is such a huge contrast thought I would comment on yesterday. There was a young woman that greeted me when I came in and helped me with my order. While I was there she was busy the whole time cleaning tables, sweeping, mopping, engaging in friendly conversation with me while she worked. I can't speak for the food, but the lobby was spotless because of her efforts. I enjoyed working there because of her positive light. Such a stark contrast to where I am now with employees arguing with customers, no one cleaning anything that is visually unsanitary. This place is empty go figure. Went here with a friend one day while we were out shopping. We decided to eat inside. HUGE MISTAKE. This place should seriously be shut down by the health department. It was DISGUSTING. When you first walk in there were dirty footprints all over the place and the floor was sticky. I managed a restaurant and noticed immediately this floor probably had not been mopped since the day before. You could see garbage and food all over the floor back where they prepare the food. I thought perhaps it had just been really busy and made a point to look back there before I left... More garbage and food on the floor. The only staff person that was nice was the girl who took our order. She was the only person I saw clean at any point either. Younger thin girl with dark hair and a braid if I recall correctly. The person who appeared to be the person in charge, heavier set lady in a blue shirt was talking bad about customers to another employee loud enough I could hear her. She also never acknowledged us during the visit, till the end. We thought we'd find a place to sit down but most of the tables were dirty and had flies around them. We thought maybe the kids room would be cleaner. There was food smeared on the floor, garbage literally overflowing from the trash can onto the floor and dirty socks hanging around? Again the only person we saw come around to clean was the girl who cashed us out and she was wiping down tables. When we finished our food I went back in the check the garbage on the floor situation and expected to see the manager or SOMEONE cleaning up the giant mess all over the place but two employees were sitting down on their phones as was the lady in the blue shirt. We asked who the manager was and the girl said she didn't know but the lady in the blue shirt told us who the GM was and looked worried. Had I not lost the receipt (not for refund just time and day so he could review cameras) I 100% would have returned with this and told him about how his store is being run when he is not there.
