The absolute worst. The service is horrible, and quality of food is terrible. Either its cold or my order is incorrect. Recently (Sunday 6/2/24) I ordered a cheese burger and someone put big mac sauce on it. WTF is going on at this location?!?! They have teens and young adults untrained or didn't receive enough training running the place. This is why Chic-fil-la is running circles around McDonalds due to service, and quality of food. My review of this place is actually quite favorable! This location isn't ideal and I highly recommend you don't go in the drive thru because going in is alot faster. Getting in to the building requires someone to get the door for you because it's locked from the outside at both entry ways. Long lines to order your food too but the food came out instantaneously from giving the cashier my money. My McChickens were absolutely delicious and fries were good! What I like about this McDonald's location is that my food is always fresh during the times I tend to visit, which are mostly near mid-night after I get off of work. If I get that craving for either a McFlurry, a basket of french fries, or a Mango-Pineapple Smoothie I can always count on this location to satisfy my taste buds. What I do not like about it is that the area is very sketchy at times. Not only are there individuals that hang out within the drive-thru waiting to ask you for money, or to purchase them a meal, but the gas station next door is a spot for drug dealers. In the past I visited this location one evening and ended up calling the police because there was a man knocking on car windows in the drive-thru area asking for money. I told the police to come get this man before I take matters into my own hands because clearly it does not get handled by the restaurant. In a city like Chicago, let alone this area in general, the last thing I want to do is let my window down at night for someone who appears mentally unstable. Another thing about this location is that its exit sits near an intersection, so if you visit during peak traffic hours along Western Ave you will have to wait to exit onto Western Ave until traffic clears up. In the meantime, other than that one encounter with the individual in the drive-thru I have had nothing but pleasant ordering experiences at this location. The waits are normal to any other fast food restaurant, and the service is nothing short of average in my opinion. They need more people working here. Absolutely slow waiting time to be served. Employees trying to satisfy all the drive thru orders or something. Then when order is paid for, the iced coffee machine is broken. Then when ringing up my refund, it wasn't even the correct amount. Then the second refund was two cents short. I just left them and McDonalds owes me two cents. Ridiculous. Obviously they are short staffed and it is leading to horrible experiences for the customers not going through the drive-through, and perhaps even there too. My brother came home with a bunch of food in the paper bag. It has a logo on some fast food. I asked what fast food was and it said Macdonald. When I open there's a bunch of chicken and chicken nuggets. It also has Mcsundae and some coke. I tasted the chicken and I was surprised. It was crunchy and it was juicy. I like the taste of it. I can't get enough of it. Then I try their Chicken Nuggets. It was really good also. It has an intense flavor for me. It was not juicy compared to Chicken. Then I tried their Mcsundae. Due to the locations they deal with a variety of different people, some good, some bad. That has not deterred them from still maintaining a standard of excellence. BEWARE!!!!! I wanted to get breakfast there but had to use the bathroom first. They were closed off because of Covid, so I went across the street to a Starbucks whose bathroom was opened but when I returned to get breakfast my car was booted. This business uses Innovative Parking Solutions to boot cars in their lot DO NOT LEAVE THEIR LOT or else you will have to pay a $170 fee to remove the boot. The food was fresh and the restrooms fairly clean. That's the only reason for two stars instead of one. I was charged for an item I didn't order nor received. I asked the employee about the quoted total, $10.80, and she said it was correct. I asked if she gave credit for a free item (thanks McD app). She answered affirmatively. The employee then threw my receipt in the garbage after I paid cash. When I requested a receipt, it took her 15 minutes to figure out how to reprint it. First she tried to say the machine was out of paper. A coworker brought another roll and noticed that the machine had a moderately full roll. Next, she whined about how her computer must not be printing receipts. I stood there eating my breakfast sandwich. By the time I finished my sandwich, my niece finished her full meal, and I suggested she ask someone else to print it for her, the printer miraculously worked. Instead of substituting one item for another, which has been done at that location before, she charged almost two dollars for the additional item. I didn't get what I finally could see that I was charged for. No supervisor in sight and I had to get somewhere in 10 minutes. I made a mobile order and when I got to the window they told me my food was ready but I had to park in a handicap parking space while they give the other cars that ordered through the drive they their food first. Bad, bad, bad. I'm not sure if there has been a change in management at this location, but things seem to be falling apart. Here's a recap of my 3 most recent trips to this location. Trip 1: Police were called to remove a patron, the security guard removed someone else. Service was slow and people weren't getting what they ordered, leading to heated conversations between staff and customers. I left without ordering because I was tired of waiting, just in time to witness a car accident in the driveway. Crazy day. Trip 2: Slow service. Spent 5- 10 minutes complaining with other patrons about what seemed to be either a lack of manpower, or a lack of competence from the staff. Left without even placing an order after 10 minutes of waiting with little line movement. Trip 3: Another trip to McDonald's for early morning coffee. Two lines were open in the store, both lines having 3 people waiting. One of the cashiers left unannounced, leading to confusion among patrons. 5 - 10 min later, my order still hadn't been taken, when the only remaining cashier said "Sorry, I have to go to the bathroom, and no one's coming to relieve me," before shrugging and leaving. With a growing line and no cashiers, I finally gave up and left., vowing not to return for a while. I've had good service at this location before, but something's gone wrong there. Just got happy meals for my two grandsons and what a huge mistake I made going to this most crappy McDonald's ever BOTH chocolate milks were sour I only realized this after my 4 year old grandson said the milk was horrible. I tasted his and threw it out and then tasted my 18 month olds milk sure enough it was horrendous both drank some of the milk and now I'm worried they will be sick. This McDonald's use to be really good. In my young days I have shared many a mornings here with beautiful ladies who I had met the previous night at the greyhound station (there's a lovely newspaper nest in the southwest corner which is great for cuddling and/or receiving other pleasures). However the star rating of THIS review is based particularly on one, unfortunately , unforgettable morning. It was 8/31/11- I was hoping to spend a quiet morning enjoying of the memories of last night, which included an 8-6 white sox win over the min. twins and hours of head floss/table licking dancing, with my medium black coffee and Egg McMuffin when the call of nature well... called. I entered the bathroom happy to find the main stall open. I plopped down and was enjoying my moment when somebody else walked in. This was all ready disappointing enough due to the fact that no one can really enjoy their moment in the bathroom if it is being shared with someone else- but still I tried to make the best it. Until I heard the most repulsive noise from in front of the urinal. I looked under the stall door to see a pair of shoes planted squarely in the opposite direction of which I would have expected to see them if someone had been using the urinal as it was properly intended for. I was confused for a minute but then came the sound again, and as any nice reasonable person would, I was concerned for the individual with the backwards feet. "Excuse me Sir," I said, ever so kindly, "Why are your shoes pointed in that direction?" To which this unknown individual rudely pounded on the stall door and insisted that I mind my own business. Can you say RUDE! I waited until this person left to come out of the stall and noticed brown splatter marks up the back of the urinal, reaching all the way from the top to the bottom! After seeing this I proceeded to vomit all over the floor. At this exact same time an officer of the law walked in, slipping in my vomit, and smacked his head on the inside of the urinal earning himself and brown crown across the top of his forehead. Ew. So to summarize, boom ba boom, It is unfortunate that my place of breakfast bliss had to be ruined by one rude individual who thinks that it is acceptable to use a public urinal like a squat toilet. Occasionally I slip over to this part of town just to feel a little edgy. I really enjoy the vagrants that rush my car when I pull in. The suspense of wondering if I got the person before me, or after me's order is a thrill I can't put into words. I often find myself looking for reasons the go to the highway just so I can stop here and get a verbal assault by the employees that work here. I need places like this to fulfill my masochist tenancies.
