Food was alright. It was cold and parts of it felt frozen still. Always triple check your order and make sure to ask for a receipt when you pay. I didn't get a receipt because the cashier was talking fast and then as soon as she tapped my card she closed the window on me. They are so quick to rush you out that they never get the orders right. I didn't get a portion of my food. I also don't have a receipt so if I went back it's my word against theirs. Your customers are paying for their full meals. I'm not usually a person who frequently visits fast food restaurants for a variety of reasons. There are so many other, better options available in terms of quality food and service. The McDonalds on Volvo Parkway near Greenbrier Park is the exception. The staff is fantastic. They really take customer service very seriously. They are well trained and it shows. I usually don't leave reviews but this McDonald's location really needs improvement. Every time I come here, something is wrong with my order. Either the food is cold, items are missing or I'm charged for extras that I never receive. The burgers taste like they've been sitting out too long, and the fries are not fresh. The inside of the restaurant also doesn't look clean or well cared for which makes the experience even more unpleasant. The customer service hasn't been any better the drive thru staff seem irritated when asked simple questions and when I've tried calling to fix an issue no one picks up NEVER DOES and when they do they say they gonna call back because they general manager is never there. Bathrooms smell like straight shit never no toilet paper,hair on sink ,blow dryer and toilet floors. When I went thru drive thru seen them smoking vapes smells like weed etc I think my husband snapped the pic of them so will definitely be calling cooperate when they open up and respond back to my email and voicemail. Floor always getting mopped always wet never any signs never anything almost busted my ass walking in there after getting my food and I'm 15'weeks pregnant. When asked for the manager a prissy bih comes to the front clacking laughing in the back when people complain . like It feels like there's no accountability. I was extremely impressed with this location! I haven't been in years the new inside looks great!! We had a older man help us order he was very nice and patient. Our food came out pretty fast and all correct we orders a lot and a lot of nuggets! We have three 10ct meals a number 1 and two kids meals. They gave us extra sauce which was great when having little kids that go through it! The lobby and bathrooms were clean staff was nice and friendly! I placed my ordered and drove around to the first window. I dat there for a number of minutes before i figured i had to pay at the second window. Once i got there they let me know that my payment did not go through and i told her that no one was at the window and i figured i had to pay here. This created an uproar with the employees and they asked if i had Apple Pay and i said yes and handed her my phone. I asked for the manager and distric managers information and one woman asked what happened and i told her. She acted as if it didnt matter so i asked for the information again. The girl with puffy hair came to the window and handed me my phone and told me not to snatch anything and called me a bitch. I proceeded to ask her who she was taking to. Then a skinny black woman approached and i asked for the girls number and she told me dont get an attitude with her. All i did was ask for managements number because this is the second time and this is unacceptable. I'm not going to comment on the food since nearly everyone in the free world at one time has had McDonald's. At the least, you know what to expect from McD's so there's no need to talk about it. I have to comment on this McDonald's because they are fast, at least when it comes to their drive-thru. I've stopped by to grab a quick bite (while running late, mind you) and they're always ready to go. One of my visits lasted about 3 minutes - that's driving up to place the order, pay at the first window and grab the food at the second window. I decided to time it one day because they stood out in that respect. So if you're in a hurry, hungry and are nearby, this McDonald's may be the spot to hit up. JV read more

Did the drive-through at this McD's for a late night snack. The person who took my order was easily comprehended, my order was accurate (no pickles!) and they had put FIVE napkins in the bag without being asked. The parking lot was a little dark, but I kept the doors locked. read more

Yes. This is a 5-star review for a McDonald's. Don't get it twisted. We all know that eating McDonald's isn't the best for you but there's a special place in your heart for it. Whether it's the nuggets, the fries, or the apple pie, McDonald's has its epic moments. Saturday was just that. I was out in the heat doing a backyard project. I had to make a trip to Lowe's to pick up a few items. I needed a quick bite. McDonald's was on the way. Way to step up your interior designing game, McDonald's. You're so pretty inside. A Big Mac, large order of fries, and a couple strips later, I was happier than a pig rolling in mud. Perhaps I was really hungry or perhaps everything was 100% on point. My fries were perfectly crispy, the chicken strips were juicy and tender (yay for the sweet and sour sauce, too), and my Big Mac was as classic as the 1980s. This really and truly was my best ever experience at a McDonald's. read more

Horrible service. No one answered the drive through window to take an order. Walked in to order 2 french fries and waited 20 minutes in complete chaos with no more than 2 customers in the establishment. Workers kept going outside to smoke and many kept disappearing in the back. Several other employees knew I was waiting on 2 fries but everyone just stared at me with the "not my job attitude". While I understand some workers may not have been pulling their weight, those who did see me and confirm my order should have just bagged the 2 fries for me. But everyone just kept staring and not resolving the issue. I never observed this level of incompetence in a working crew. I kindly asked for a refund and left. Make my order. Pull up to WAIT. Waited 5 mins to pay. Made my order at 9:44p..WAITED. No one is telling us anything. They were out of sprite and my mc chicken tasted funky- old brown lettuce thrown on it, it wasn't even wrapped all the way and the only small squirt of slipped on mayo was spilling out of the side . It took over 15 minutes to get through the drive thru. All I ordered was an Oreo McFlurry. When I got to the pay window, the employee said he was paying for it. I was surprised and didn't ask why. Another employee overheard him and started arguing with him about. He repeated himself "I said I am paying for it!" I just pulled forward due to not wanting to be part of, or the cause of, an argument. The employee at the pick up window had to guess what my order was but he guessed right so no complaints there. He handed me my McFlurry and I drove off. Well, two bites into it I realized it was JUST A CUP OF VANILLA ICE CREAM with some Oreo dust sprinkled on top. So after I got past the very surface, the rest was just vanilla soft serve. It must have been whatever little crumbs they had left. It was like a fine chocolate cookie dust with no crumbles or the best part, the Oreo stuffing! What a waste of time and a total disappointment. I was "with" my mom in the drive thru and they didn't give her enough bbq sauce for her nuggets. She asked if she could please have some more and the lady said "no, we don't have anymore." In the bag my mom noticed she had an extra box of nuggets and they told her that it was the apple pie and that they ran out of boxes. My brother worked at mcdonalds as his first job and those little boxes allow them to stay in the warmer... so of course the pie was cold. My mom parked and went in to get straws because they did not give her any, and upon which she saw they did indeed have bbq sauce a plenty. Just remembered why I don't go to McDonald's much. Stopped to this McDonald's Monday night. I ordered 2 6 piece McNugget happy meals and a 10 piece nugget meal. Requested that all 3 sets of nuggets be freshly cooked. Once I got my order at the drive thru I proceeded to check it. The nuggets were cold and hard as if they were cooked hours ago. I pulled around and took them back in the store. The manger said no problem I will remake them. Once they cooked the nuggets one of the cooks proceeded to pick the nuggets up with her bare hands. No glove. So I said I hope those are not for me. The manager turned around and said to the worker. "What are you doing " put on gloves. I know if the worker was so comfortable not using gloves they don't use them. It's to much sickness and diseases going around for this. Food is really to expensive to play with people food. OK, so this is my neighborhood McDonald's and I'm done hoping they will get it right. I have been disappointed, terribly disappointed, too many times in the past couple of years to not take my time to give this review. I went there on Thursday after work and it was my LAST time. I can't say enough bad things about how poorly prepared the burgers are at this location. I'm sure the "cooks" do not care what kind of product they are putting out because it's consistently bad...I only go there about once every month or two-because I'm almost always disappointed BUT I keep hoping things will change. So, Last year in the summer I had my first bacon smokehouse burger is South Hill, Virginia and it was REALLY good. A few weeks later when I was home in Chesapeake, I wanted to have another one so I went to my local Greenbrier McDonald's. The sandwich was TERRIBLE. It was nothing like the one I had at the South Hill McDonalds. It was obviously thrown together and it was flat, dry, had two small pieces of bacon with a few 1/2 strips of the fried onions with very little condiment. It was unbelievable how different it was from the first one. I should have stopped at that first bad one but I like to believe that a company like McDs, in a decent part of the City/State does it right, eventually. But, nope - not the Greenbrier McDonalds. I've given them about 3 more chances on the Bacon Smokehouse and I'm done with those. This past Thursday, Jan. 3 - I decided to go there to pick up dinner dinner for my husband and I. We hadn't had a new Mushroom and Swiss burger yet so I got him a double and me a regular. I go to the drive thru at about 5:55, paid for my food at 6:02 and was then asked to pull up in spot number 1. At 6:17-yes, 6:17!, they brought my food out! I live 5 minutes from the store so within 10 minutes we sat down to eat. Neither of our "Mushroom and Swiss" Burgers had even a single mushroom on it. They were both dried up meat with stuff slapped on them. They were terrible, the sodas were watered down because I waited 15 minutes in my car for the food, the fries were mostly little pieces of fries and I wasted $17+ on that crap. As few times as I go there (and I would go more often if it was good), I can't believe others aren't having the same bad experience. How does this place stay open? Shame on the owners, the managers and the cooks. I'm done. read more
