I was shorted a sandwich and given a sweet tea not unsweetened tea. Im diababetic. I called them. I was told I would get a letter in the mail with a credit or coupon for my next visit. Got nothing. Stopped at this locations drive thru for lunch several times. Everytime I'm told to pull in to a spot or pull ahead and wait. It's always 10 to 15 minutes wait for a cheeseburger meal...Why? There are two cars in the parking lot and they are not busy. The girl at the window hand me my coke with more on the lid than in the cup. This is your typical Mickey D's. Food looked and tasted fine. It was probably the busiest McDonald's I've ever been in. The PA turnpike is a spitting distance away, which is where the extra bodies probably either just came from or are heading to. One of the hand dryers was broken in the women's restroom so hand washing took far longer than necessary. This McDonald's does have a pretty decent sized Playland area for the kiddies. read more

Like any other McDonald's you make the choice to eat their food and in some way you will pay for it later. All in all not a bad location. Right off the highway. The customer service was friendly. The wait was a tad slower than I like for a fast food restaurant. I was rather disappointed that my fries didn't have a fresh taste that I look for in McDonald's fries. The employees there are very rude. I work very close to this McDonald's so I go sometimes on my break and almost every time I go the ice cream machine is down. Today they were slow and understaffed so the manager was running drive through and she was extremely rude. When u asked for a milkshake she gave me an attitude and said "no ice cream or milkshakes!!". She didn't apologize or anything. They also did not salt my fries. Some pretty harsh critics up in here...! It's a McDonald's just off the Pa Pike in Carlisle. I've been using it as a way station for years as the halfway point between Bucks and Westmoreland Counties. Convenient place to take a break, or exchange passengers for trips east or west. The food is pretty much standard and the bathrooms are clean. When my son was much younger, he enjoyed the playroom for a few minutes to burn off excess energy from sitting in the car too long. While I have found much better places to eat in the historic town of Carlisle, this Mickey D's is still the closest place from the Turnpike exit to meet fellow travelers, and the turn around and head home. Worst McDonald's I've seen in a long time. Immediately upon walking in, there was a funky (aka not good) smell. The service at the counter was both slow for placing the order and slow to fill the order. They do not have ketchup left out for customers, you must ask for it at the counter. Also, beverages are only served at the counter (no self serve drinks and refills!). Lots of dirty tables and quite a bit of food strewn all over the floor. My wife said the women's room was pretty bad as well, with no hand soap in the dispenser either. The food itself was warm and pretty much average for a McDonald's. Avoid this McDonald's if at all possible. I had a larger order but the drive thru took over 20 minutes because they were "waiting on fries". I didn't realize they were waiting for the potatoes to grow. After getting the order They didn't have the correct sauces in the bag. I went in only to be ignored for over a minute at the counter. I walked over to the other side to see where their sauces were and saw they were out of most of them anyway (if I could have found them I was going to walk back there and get them myself). I mentioned my long drive thru experience to someone waiting in line and they said they had been waiting to get their order taken for 10 minutes already... This was not my first bad experience here so my tip to you - there is a Wendy's up the street in one direction and an Arby's in the other so just keep driving. read more

Located along the Miracle Mile, this McDonalds is a convenient stop right off of exit 52 on I-81. I frequent the drive thru here, especially for breakfast, and can say that it's a pretty good location compared to other McDonalds. The only area for improvement this location could use would be a roof over their drive thru mike so customers don't get wet when ordering. This may sound like a minor inconvenience, but it's an issue for me more often than you'd think! The employees are friendly and the accuracy of my order has always been correct. I ordered the breakfast platter with hotcakes. There is no fork, knife, butter, or syrup in the bag. This ruins the breakfast and makes it difficult to eat like a normal person. Maybe your employees do not need a knife or fork to eat, but I do. Do I need to specifically ask for every piece to make sure your employees can place it in the bag. Common sense tells me me they'd be in the bag, but I guess that doesn't exist behind those golden arches. Next time, I will speak really slowly to make sure your employees understand, and take my time, look in the bag, and demand to get what I pay for. There's a sign I can see my car that reads "FAST FAST FAST". Maybe it's time to make sure your employees understand how to put an order together. This particular McDonald's is very dirty. The tables and seats were very dirty. The restrooms haven't been cleaned in awhile. The staff was friendly, but either drastically understaffed or very new. There was a very long line which moved slowly and almost every order was wrong in some way. Friend of mine stopped at this McDonald's on Harrisburg pike 7/23/18 for two Number 2 meals. The fries were cold & the Burgers were raw. She called to talk with Management to let the know, all the told her was that they would replace her meals, so she went there to get meals replaced & all the gave her was 2 burgers. Went to the drive-thru line, on December 23, 2017. Even though there were only 2-3 cars ahead of us, we had to wait about 5-10 minutes for EACH CAR to order and drive ahead. One car in front of us drove away in frustration. It took us 20 minutes to get up to the order board/speaker, and then we were told to wait. So we sat there for at least 5 minutes, something I've never done at a drive-thru, before we drove away and went somewhere else. read more
