Thrown together without regard.
Steven G.

Ordered a 10 count chicken mini a few minutes ago, I opened the box and it's a disaster in a box - thrown in without regard. Order number 8043356.

I love this Chick Filet! They get our orders right every single time. The deluxe chicken sandwich is tasty. Choose grilled or fried chicken nuggets, strips, sandwich. Waffle fries are perfectly crispy, not greasy. Our favorite is the fresh-squeezed lemonade, which you can purchase regular or diet. Pricing is higher than many other fast food chains, and coupons seem elusive. Keep in mind, you generally get what you pay for!

I'm starting to think every Chick-fil-A has the same type of people working at all of its restaurants in the area. All of the workers are very cheerful and positive and the establishment is very clean. I typically order chicken nuggets but today I tried the barbecue bacon sandwich - it was delicious! The Polynesian dipping sauce is my favorite and I wish they sold it in the supermarket. As for Chick-fil-A, I wish there was one of these closer me. Free refills and good food. You can't beat it! I would definitely recommend this to friends.

So I thought it was time to revisit Vitality Bowls® - stopped in just after lunch hour & saw that the Supergreen Goddess Salad was still on the menu (nice balance of chicken, greens, eggs w/ avocado). I placed my order & sat at one of the 3 tables (I'm pretty sure the lion's share of business is to-go) - waited about a couple'a minutes for my made-to-order salad. When it came, it was just as good as previous visits, with everything fresh. Vitality is a good healthy choice nestled among all the nearby fast-food joints. They also have a selection of juices if that's your thing. I'll keep it in the dining rotation!

There are only a few tables, although none were occupied. The hummus and veggie appetizer was a huge disappointment. The hummus was tasty, but unfortunately the potion was only enough for about 1/3 of the veggies. The carrots and celery appeared to be a couple days old by the discoloration. The celery was impossible to dip in the hummus as it was chopped/sliced for a salad. Thankfully, the steak bowl was delicious and the right sized portion. All the ingredients were fresh and very flavorful. It was easy to distinguish between the different flavors. Not sure yet if I will give this place another visit.

We typically get the nachos and sandwiches, the brisket one is my personal favorite. Most of the the beers on top are great, but even if you can't find a good one, their cocktails are top notch.

We used to take the kids here, there was something for everybody and a fun atmosphere. Fast forward a few years and this place has really gone downhill. Three staff was all very young and seemed to be in a rush. OK - we can deal with that, although it wasn't even as crowded as usual on a Sunday night. We ordered the Nashville hot chicken sandwich (which was listed under handhelds), with the "chilli mango coleslaw" option. We also had a pork belly sandwich and smash burger for our toddler. We weren't given an option to get that medium and wete told "it just comes one way" "because it's smashed". Other restaurants always ask you how you want your burgers even if it's listed as a smash but ok - I can also live with this. The last thing we ordered we a Buffalo chicken wedge salad to share. It ended up being our undoing for the evening and the straw that broke the camels back. The "Nashville" chicken sandwich was a greasy, thin slice of completely unseasoned chicken. It wasn't spicy like it said, it was pretty soft and soggy instead of crunchy, and was totally unsalted. It was worse than when I was doing no salt from a high bp diet post partum. :( the bread fell apart and was sopping wet... I guess from some pickles and lettuce on the bottom of the sandwich? It was anything but handheld and so I ended up just scraping what chicken off I could and leaving the rest. My "chili mango" coleslaw had no mango, no spice, and was just regular plain, unsalted cole slaw. I recieved 2 teaspoons of this in a plastic cup on the side and regretted not ordering the fries instead, which looked to be a good portion size on my husbands entreé. My food order was terrible overall. 0/10 My husband said he liked his sandwich. The fries were a 6/10 because they were crunchy but they were cold. Our kids menu smash burger was all grease, and came well done. Our kid ate a few fries and they were less greasy. 3/10 The worst part of the meal was the salad... The Buffalo chicken was tasty, but the whole salad was onions and sopping in dressing. We then found a black molded rotten tomato and honestly we were sick to our stomachs after that. Like I was insisting the salad at that point and ended up finding that but what else did we already eat that was just totally rotten ?? 2/10 only for the chicken salvaging the flavor for this dish. When we told the waitress that this was distressing, like we came out to get our of the house with our baby and this was the meal (so disappointing) she did not automatically offer to take the rotten salad off the bill. We asked her to please remove it, and to her credit she did so after putting us in an awkward position to have to ask at all. We liked that this place supports local artists. For that, 2 stars For these reasons though above we will not be back here for dinner. Sorry Evergrain, we will miss you!

Before I start to process that statement, the table next to me says, "Don't worry! We have a few bottles of Napa Valley wine. Here, take a glass!" Now that is some City of Brotherly Love vibes! And Thea itself is a beautiful restaurant. Very contemporary, stylish, and modern. But honestly, the hospitality from the table next to me is what made the experience unforgettable. It's late, I have a glass of wine and it's my last night in Harrisburg. I want to have a good meal in a nice restaurant. For my dinner entree I order the Carne Asada Hanger Steak. Man.. Chef AnnMarie cooked that steak to perfection! Tender, flavorful, and cooked exactly right. Every bite was packed with flavor which defines Carne Asada. A grilled hanger steak prepared with traditional Mexican-style seasoning and a blend of citrus, garlic, herbs, and spices. Chef AnnMarie definitely brought her A-game to this steak! *The guac on the bottom I pushed away. Thea, I'm not sure when I'll be back but I'll come hungry and bring my own wine.

Staff were also on top of things as they brought out drink refills before we needed them. My Wife got the stuffed French toast and she said it was delicious. The French toast was cooked really well and it was loaded a lot of cream cheese and fruit. When I asked my Wife if anything in particular stood out, she said it tasted like it was home made. I went with the baked oatmeal, which had coconut flakes, raisins, cinnamon, and had slices of banana and strawberries. I thought it was pretty tasty, but there are bottles of syrup on each table and drizzling some over it really hit the spot for me. This is definitely a spot that we'd go back to, especially since the is sizable. The menu offered a lot of other options, including crepes, and I feel confident that their other items would also be good.

I've been driving past Morning Fuel on the Carlisle Pike for the last few months. I'm a frequent…read moredriver out that way and every time I passed it, it always looked closed. So I wasn't sure if it was one of those businesses that kind of flopped and nothing had replaced it yet. Alas, I recently found out that it is, in fact, still open. And you know what they say: don't shop on an empty stomach. I was on my way to karns, and I concur. I decided to stop at Morning Fuel so I wouldn't make any hasty purchases while shopping. So I walk in, and the first thing I notice is the music. It's blaring early-2000s-ish rock music. Think Evanescence. Pseudo-angsty music, basically playing at the volume you'd expect in a club. The decor is like a really corny First Watch (live laugh love signage and pictures of measuring cups filled with grains) perhaps with little more edge. And there are straw wrappers and bits of food on the floor, kind of like the Texas Roadhouse peanut situation, except it's not peanuts. Shortly after I was seated, they swept the floor, so I'm assuming it wasn't intentional lol. So, yeah. First Watch on crack? Maybe? First watch's angsty step sibling? First Watch with obnoxiously loud music and a little harder of an edge. And honestly, First Watch and Morning Fuel are part of the same genre. You know what you're getting. And the genre is over priced diner. As far as the food goes, I got the stuffed French toast with blueberry drizzle, and it was really good. It did its job. Nothing spectacular, but a perfectly good breakfast. Overall, I'd say Morning Fuel is pretty average, but these places are kind of a genre unto themselves, and I can see why people like them. It was also a little cheaper than First Watch, which I like but don't really go to. This would not be a recurring haunt for me by any means, but I think it will be for some people. So if you like Evanescence and nu-metal more than you like the Jonas Brothers and other corny folky music, that's what they're playing at Morning Fuel. If you like black floors and a little less of a rustic vibe, that's what Morning Fuel is about. If you like the product that First Watch serves but don't necessarily like the First Watch vibe, you can go to Morning Fuel. Similar kind of product. Packaged differently. Maybe a little cheaper.

Brunch here isn't rushed or overdone -- it's a relaxed, slow-paced experience that feels like it belongs in a European village. Fitting, since Sophia's is tucked into a charming townhouse-style community with local shops, plenty of free street parking, and an atmosphere that makes you want to linger. Reservations are recommended, but even though it was busy, we were seated right away without one. Our waitress was an absolute gem, anticipating exactly what we wanted. I ordered the day's special -- a personal broccoli & cheddar quiche with seasoned breakfast potatoes -- plus chocolate milk. When she asked, "Do you want it extra chocolatey?" my inner child screamed YES. She delivered a cold chalice of chocolatey goodness fit for royalty. The quiche? Buttery crust, cheesy perfection. My only regret was not ordering five more. Adventure Buddy went classic with an iced latte and the Original Breakfast: 2 sunnyside eggs, a bed of seasoned potatoes, plump sausage links, and wheat toast. Everything was cooked beautifully -- eggs done just right, sausage with a crisp snap, and the whole plate draped over potatoes for that hearty, comforting vibe. Nothing beats a summer morning brunch outside, channeling Parisian café vibes while the world slows down for a moment. Our bill (with tip) came to just under $50, and we left full, happy, and ready for the rest of Sunday Funday. Sophia's shines at brunch, but don't overlook it for a weeknight dinner either -- this place never disappoints.
