Do yourself a favor and keep driving. It took 30 minutes to get a meal in the drive-through on a Friday night at 9: it five minutes per person in the drive-through line to take an order and these people speak English talk about efficiency. McDonald's has gone reputable establishment to an absolute piece of garbage. read more

Cant believe im on here reviewing another McDonalds. Its just that bad. They are busy no doubt. This place is a f**king joke though. I just waited in line for a 1/2 hour for the person to get my order wrong FIVE TIMES and it was a simple order. When she was done my large meal said medium fries. I said its a large meal...it comes with large fries. I cant change it. Your an idiot!!! I finally got far enough up to pull out of the line and get the hell out of there. Looked dirty as hell inside and out. Peak incompetence. At Food Lion getting chicken. read more

We came here two times. One time for breakfast and one time for dinner. We ate inside for breakfast. It was extremely messy, and unclean. Service was slow, and when I ordered on the kiosk it didn't have receipt paper. I find that frustrating that way if there is a mistake I have proof of if I had done something wrong on my part. When I came for dinner, they were missing two things.. which was extremely frustrating because we had waited in line so long and then we had to wait again. I had two kids and a dog in my car. I wasn't about to get everyone out of the car, because people can't have a keen eye of how to read an order. I waited thirty minutes for the two items that were missing and the rest of the food was cold. I don't know if they were having an off day or were understaffed, but there is always room for improvement. read more

If I could give no stars I would. Extremely understaffed, only 1 kiosk working and Noone will take orders at the 1 register that was open. Waited a half hour for order for only 2 people, rude staff. Highly not recommend read more

Pretty decent. It's pretty modern and more clean than other McDonald's. The person was very nice, funny and friendly. Although, the food took kind of long for them to make out food and give it to us. We got all of our food and it tasted and smelled pretty good. read more

McDonald's - Chicken Nuggets - Fast Food Near Me - Cape Charles, Virginia

Would give this place 0 stars if we could. It's fast food so we're not expecting fine dining but it was so disgusting and dirty we didn't even eat. There's no changing table in the bathrooms. The bathrooms had tampons, blood, no toilet paper and just pure disgusting... I opted to hold my bladder until we could go someplace else. No thanks, I can't imagine how unsanitary the food station is. YUCK read more

During the day, this place is great and fresh. HOWEVER the reviews about not coming afte 830 are true. The building is lit up, says open until 11pm, and you can see multiple staff members inside but no one will acknowledge the drive thru. watched several cars pull around building and then we waited, in case they're short staffed to process the window and then take out order. No one ever spoke through the box, pulled to window in case the speaker was broken and they just hadn't gotten a sign up but there was no one at window. Decided to try and go in and order. You can see multiple crew members inside, just kinda hanging out. No acknowledgement of customers what-so-ever. in the 20 minutes before 9 to 9:05pm when we left, they left 6 customers besides us figure out on their own that they were not accepting orders, regardless of supposedly being open for another 2 hours. If you're passing during daytime, they usually have hot fries, but after dinner rush, seems to be a ghost town. read more

Terribly slow... over 25 minute wait for two orders of pan lakes and a few hash browns with two lattes... ridiculous... I guess it is T fast anything here so mobile order 30 minutes in advance! No paper towels for 15 minutes and counting for all dispensers, none in the bag, had to go back to get the syrup because wasn't in bag and all trash cans are overflowing! Terrible... go anywhere else... read more

Awful!! My wife and I stopped here for two fish meals. The soda machine was down, ice tea was out, and they wanted to charge us more for the specialty drinks (frappe, slushie, etc). It is ashamed that the manager did not attempt to accommodate the customers. The cashier was very nice. Thank God for Royal Farms down the road. read more

Don't bother if it's after 8:30 PM. Morning crew is fantastic, a little slow at times but they're trying their best including early afternoon if i get the kids from school and stop for an afternoon surprise... but I've had three instances in evenings, including tonight, where different apps say they're open until 11pm, my girls wanted something to eat on after a super long and busy day so I detoured and stopped there right around 10pm (another time it was barely 9pm) and they were closed. All these times I saw multiple workers, one sitting in the front dining area and another in the back. No one answered the drive thru and the doors were locked. In the evenings they make their own hours. Ridiculous and annoying and really puts you in a bad mood when someone is already hangry to begin with. read more

I got a two burgers and both were greasy and poorly packed, burger meat was just falling apart and looked like someone punched that shit, went up and asked about it and i guess the manager or who ever the fuck she was just seemed like she didnt care, we got a refund for the burgers as asked, but im guessing she thought i was out of ear shot bc she comes up to the register saying some slick shit like "and she wanna talk all crazy to me" referring to my mother, the staff has no manners what so ever, I don't know who that employee thinks she is but if is the manager of the establishment, god help that crew read more

We waited forever. Granted, there are a lot of people but service is ridiculously slow. you don't get a number if you are dining in and IF you get an order, it's incorrect read more

the ice cream machine is ALWAYS "down" promoting the new KitKat McFlurry all just the people not be able to try it...

Ok, I gave this McDonald's 3 stars based on one drive through experience. We almost didn't stop there because of its 1 star rating and it's definitely better than that. The fries are perfectly cooked - crispy, just enough salt, and served hot. And to be honest, the fries are reason enough to eat at a McDonald's. I also got chicken McNuggets and my wife got a quarter pounder plain. They were fast, courteous, and got the order correct. Another plus! Don't be afraid to stop here. They're definitely doing some things right. read more

I took my siblings to eat and the night shift workers suck it took us over40 mins to get our food and there where two girls making tik toks a worker proceeded to join them and then after they was done then she gave us our food the morning shift people are very nice and sweet but don't recommend it at all read more

Waited about 20 minutes at the drive through only to get the incorrect order. The dining room wasn't open for some reason and I wasn't about to wait another 20 minutes. This place is a joke. read more

We came in at 12:30ish on a Monday and it took 20-30 minutes to just get large fry and chicken sandwich, which was completely wrong and had to go back to fix it- which didn't take more than 2 mins so props to them for that, people there had horrible attitudes when we were asking how long our food was goin to take the cashier pulls her phone out and answer a phone call while talking to us at the same time. Before we left they locked the doors so no more people could come inDONT BOTHER SPENDING YOUR MONEY HERE hopefully Ronald McDonald himself finds this place and gets it fixed read more

Fresh French fries and polite service! Although we couldn't sit in they had a picnic table we dined at for lunch. This was the perfect stop for a little road trip a friend an I took to Oyster. read more

The morning female manager is absolutely horrible! She was very nasty with any customer who asked a question. She's down right scary!! Never go here!! Do yourself a big favor and keep going until you find a different McDonald's!! read more

Have you heard of McDonald's new smoothie flavor? Wa'berry. Tastes like ghetto. The face of its new ad campaign is the girl who rang up my McCafe iced latte--and had to count out six cents change on her fingers. Yeah Virginia! read more

Had the rudest cashier lady at 8:50am. Kept asking is that it? Is that it? In the middle of our order. Than said have I nice day twice without giving us 3 more items. Needs an attitude change. Ten went to the bathroom an urine was everywhere. Definitly Will not return to this mcdonalds. read more

My wife and I ordered a quarter pounder, 2 10 piece nuggets and 2 large fries and we both ended up with food poisoning the next day

I don't know why everyone is giving this McDonald's such bad reviews. Yes they were slow, but also EXTREMELY packed. They're near the border of Maryland and Virginia. Tourists will stop at the first McDonald's they see for a bathroom break and some food. Definitely go through the drive through if you want a faster meal. If you need to, use the bathroom and then pull around to the drive through. Inside is pretty slow, but they're definitely working under some circumstances. Also inside you'll be packed like sardines so be careful not to come at peak times! read more

Slow slow slow. Took over 10 to get our food. Forgot the egg on the McMuffin even after we asked to make sure it was on there. They also did not give us ketchup. And said we could not get a happy meal because 11 am was 15 minutes away. read more

As McDonald's go, this one is above average, the staff are great, and what they are famous for they do well. I know some will say "It is just McDonald's" true, but being one of the few fast food places in the area they are in, they could easily not worry. While i see other's had negative experiences, i ate there three different times and all were great. Treat people nice and get treated nice. read more

We stopped here for what we thought would be a quick lunch on our way back north after a beach vacation. Little did we know, we would be here for more than an hour waiting for our food. In addition when we tried to cancel our order due to the wait, we were told that half our food was already in the bag. We then proceeded to wait 20 more minutes for our food. Ridiculous! There was also never any sort of apology for the delay to us or anyone else who inquired about the wait. read more

This is literally, and I dont use that word unless I mean it, the absolute worst McDonalds I have EVER been to. And I have traveled around the country and been to many McDonalds. There always seems to be line as if they are constantly under staffed. The way they treat the customers is appalling. Literally had THE MANAGER say with a smug tone, "that it, you done?" When ordering. Was so pissed I left without my food. I'm a local and things are slower here on the eastern shore, but this is horrible. If they had a Chic Fila here, or if royal farms was closer, this McDonalds would be out of business in a day. If you want to be treated like an ass, go to a dirty restroom, and wait forever for FAST food that is cold this is the place for you. If I could I wouldn't even give it one star, that's how bad. Save yourself the trouble and stop at one of the royal farms 15 min north or south from it. Better service, clean restrooms, and better food. Once more, this is absolutely the worst McDonalds I have ever been to in the entire country. read more

I would give zero stars if possible. I drove through the drive through and the women on the speaker at 0240 on 10/25 had to have been the rudest individual id ever come in contact with. I ordered and drove right out of the line. Not only was she rude with me but also the car in front and behind us as well. Terrible read more

Visited 6-9-16. Horrible experience. Every single employee acts like they don't want to be there. There was a couple ahead of me during non-peak food hours, who had just gotten their food and were leaving. I guess whoever was cooking thought that was it for a while and it was time for a break or something, because it took me 13 minutes to get my food. As soon as the cashier took my order she bolted and I saw no one up front during my wait. The first 11 minutes there was NO ONE in the kitchen, then someone appeared and made my food in the last 2 minutes. Was there an emergency employee meeting during that time or something? If it was it should have been on how to run a business. I almost left, but didn't have time to go anywhere else since it was all wasted here. This place isn't going to do well business-wise if competent employees are not being hired. read more

This place stays busy, as they are the mcdonalds along a busy main road during the tourist season. That said, this franchise refuses to provide good service or timely food orders. The dining room has been upgraded, but the tables remain uncleaned and the food quality is not above average. Every visit has been a disappointment. read more

Rude and bad service. Dirty bathrooms. Got order wrong. Dirty tables. Lots of workers doing nothing. Keep driving if able.

Not really sure why everyone is so hard on this place. The entire staff was working when I was there, nobody just sitting around. McDonalds can't possibly get higher than a 3 star from me however I was surprised by their new healthy wraps. Under 400 calories which is not bad. The coffee was good and for a quick stop before you go through the tunnel, this place is not bad! read more

Went thru the drive thru yesterday morning for breakfast on my way to Virginia Beach for my sons appointment, line was packed okay cool but when it was my turn to order I sat for a good 5 mins without anyone saying a word to me, no I'll be right with you or anything, so I said hello (I was not trying to be rude or anything honest to god) and immediately the girl working replies back "MA'AM don't hello me, I can hear you in my headset I was busy" and since I was not trying to be rude I apologized about 10 times cause I did not want to come off that way, but she on the other hand was rude, so I placed my order went on to the 1st window to pay, no one comes and takes my payment (she let the car behind me pay), so not wanting to hold up the already packed line any more I pull up to the 2nd window to pick up my food and tell the girl working there that no one took my payment at the first window so then she had to take my card and go back to the first window. It was just a nightmare and I was very tempted to pull off without paying or getting my food but I am not that type of person. I will never go there again that is for sure. Oh and the food was cold. read more

There have been some huge improvements over the two years since I've rated this McDonalds the first time. Needless to say, the bathrooms are a little better, and the food is right with what a McDonalds should have, but the attitude of the workers isn't changing anytime soon. The culture here is very rude and "respect me and I might respect you back" mentality. If you go in the evening, the teens working can be pretty nasty depending on who you get, but many of them are much nicer than the people who work in the morning. Service is much better, and the food is cheap, so they got that going for them! read more

Absolutely terrible. Stopped for breakfast. Not enough employees. The dispensers were out of napkins. They were out of change and those God awful ear piercing alarms kept going and going. We got tired of waiting and left. read more

Way too many flies! Garbage cans overflowing and bathrooms pretty bad. Food order was spot on and predictable like any other McDonald's.

Listen to these other posts, this place is THE WORST. Wish I had checked Yelp before I came here.

if i could 0 starts, i would. very disorganized and it shouldn't be that complicated because its a mcdonald's. goodnight.
