I came here to write a poor review but it looks like others beat me to it. I suppose writing a review of a McDonald's is a bit moot but here we are. The problem with this location is that it's clearly understaffed. There is no one at the cash register, so you're forced to pay at the kiosk. Half the kiosks are out of service and the one I used didn't print receipts which lead to confusion for everyone waiting for their orders. Just generally a chaotic and stressful place. The food is... Huge fan of McDonald's over here. Love the food especially their mcchicken it's great. However this location staff are extremely rude. They scream at you, make snobby comments about you right to your face, and especially the person handing you food at the pick up area her name was Anna I think. Never have I ever been treated like this before in my decades of going to McDonald's. Besides terrible staff they refuse to make you food that you already placed an order on. Quite ridiculous even when they're one of the most quiet locations I've ever been to. Short Review: it's McDonalds; with that being said, I don't come in here with the highest of expectations. However, I do expect some courtesy, and not to be told a bold face lie. This place was closed for months for renovations-- they re-opened recently with the new machines and probably laid off some workers. Last night I came here for some late night McGriddles--there were two people ahead of me, I see the man before me pay for his ice cream cone, but, now it's my turn, and I'm told by the employee "I can't take orders here" but I just saw the man before me pay for his item there. I get off the line and go to the machine, while I'm there, I observed another gentlemen pay for his meal. At this point, I'm perturbed, to say the least. I left out the fact that after telling me she couldn't accept payment there, she left the register area and was just standing around. After using the machine to place my order, I had to pay for it at the register, I also had an offer from their app that entitled me to a free Frappe-- because I've purchased more than five in the past. The manager, I believe, is now up there, and he seems just as lackadaisical as the previous employee. He tells me it's not working, and there's nothing he can do. No problem, you and your employee can both kick rocks. This isn't my first time dealing with rude staff here but I expected things to change with the several month closure and some new staff. What a shame, I've been coming to this McDonalds my whole life, even had my 6th grade graduation party here, back when that was cool in the 90s. This location is clean and has a play area for children. It's across from the greenwood cemetery and two blocks away from 9 avenue train station. I ordered egg McMuffin $4 here. The McMuffin was warm. Cheese not melted. Ham was good. I did a mobile order and the cashier was not helpful at all. She couldn't find my order and she kept going to the back. Customer service need to improve. I was able to reorder on my phone. I had this issue before and at other McDonalds they are way more helpful and wouldn't just walk away from the customer. read more

We were in the area and wanted fries. It's been a long time since we had McDonald's. Stopped by here and it went downhill. Deal advertise outside is not in machine, so ok fine. Order food to stay but every order is in bag- ok fine. Then noticed everything was dirty or not stocked. There is no lobby attendant to clean up the dining area or bathrooms, to stock basics like cup lids and straws. No ketchup pumps so had to ask for it and my nugget sauce since they forgot. If you get ketchup packets to eat in, how do you use it without the condiment cups? They need to hire more people since they only had 1 cashier and kitchen staff. The drive thru guy was running the food so he was hustling but no other staff; need lobby attendant. Women's restroom was out of order and men's had no tiolet paper or paper towels (and was nastyy). I'm not expecting 5 stars since it's fast food but should be average/decent. It wasn't busy in the restaurant but there was drive thru action & 1 uber eat guy there, so we got to see the action of the staff making food. It took 40 minutes for them to get my order done, (and it was still wrong). The manager was wearing a mask around his chin and when I asked why he wasn't wearing his mask he said "WHAT?" I repeated my question. He said, because people can't hear me. Meanwhile every other customer and employee is required to wear one, by law, as stated by a sign when you enter. The drive up window on Fort Hamilton Parkway (across the street from the cemetery) is the worst drive up in the area, probably in all of Brooklyn. Over the past five years, we have driven up and almost always we have come away with the wrong order. There is always something missing or something added" to the order (i.e. meat , when we ask for no meat on the sandwich). One day we drove up and had confidence that the manager -who happened to be at the window -could fulfill our small order and did not check the order before driving away. No such luck. We drove away without checking and found there was no straw or no utensils. Once you drive away , due to the cemetery, you have to drive for blocks around in order to get back to the drive up window. Once we asked for a sandwich with no meat, and they gave it with meat. We handed it back, and they gave us a replacement, then there was something missing from the replacement (i.e. the egg), Three times this sandwich was changed. We have given up trying to get a correct order at this drive up. We have gone to the one on 86th Street many times in 5 years and they always get the order correct. (We noticed that the McDonalds, that are closest to the highways usually are not the best ones to go to). How do you rate this drive up window? Inside service was good, (we only went inside once or twice) but drive up is out of the question. For good drive up service, go to the 86st street one or go to Nathans on Seventh Ave in Brooklyn, or go to Burger King. read more

We placed an order to eat in, our food was placed in a bag as if to go. The bag was sitting on the pick up counter for approximately 5 minutes and our order number was never called! When I asked if our order was ready, a tattooed-arm girl with faux eyelashes stated she called our order number which she never did. For our salad we received no utensils, for our fries no ketchup! I had to go up to the counter twice to ask for utensils and ketchup and the same tattooed employee was inappropriately curt with me. When she placed the utensils in my hand (my second time to the counter) she pushed them aggressively into my hand. An argument ensued between the tattoo girl and another employee all whilst I waited in vain for my order which sat there as I waited for my order number to be called which I thought was going to be brought to my table! Slow service and wrong orders are the catch of the day at this McDonald's. My order was simple : I wanted 2/$3 sausage egg and cheese muffins, one hash brown and a coffee...just a coffee. Well, I never even got to order. I left after waiting 15 minutes. I'm that time, they served a grand total of 3 patrons, and had 4 others return their screwed up orders. Epic fail. I've been here before and it's always slow, and they've given me completely wrong orders, but this is a new low. Add to that, the fact that there is no queue and line cutting is rampant ; accidental or not, it's still infuriating. Unfortunately, this is a McDonald's so it will NEVER close. This is supposedly a state of the art remodeled Mcdonalds. Here is the problem...poor design. You have to park in the rear of the building and risk getting hit by the cars going around the corner for the drive thru just to get into the place. Then, you have to use these kiosks that have long screens to tap your order into which are poorly placed next to low tables and chairs where patrons eat while you hover next to them. They have a few booths but nothing handicapped accessible. They have high counters with bar stools that have outlets to charge your tech, problem is you can't see the outlets because they are recessed under the counter. I only saw them because I was sitting at the low table. The place was busy and service was at a snail pace. Afterwards, I searched for a bathroom which was in the rear of the place. Despite clear markings for men and women, I was disturbed to see a man exiting the women's room. It seemed like a likely place for an assault being so far removed from the main area. Also so close to the children's play area, I hope parents keep a close eye on their children in this restaurant. Wont ever come back to this place again. This McDonalds is across the street from a huge cemetery and nestled between auto repair shops that are closed at night. Also the windows fog up when the weather's hot - the place basically looks haunted at night. Which is... kinda fun? And I mean beyond that's it's a McDonalds. Two stars because online I always see this place listed as being open 24 hours but it closes at midnight every night. I bought a big Mac sandwich and it looked like someone poked their finger into it. I told the guy at the register and he started to laugh. But here's what I found: Store was clean, well-lit and, well, identical to many other MD's. Drive through was fine. Order-taker/filler/cashier was courteous and efficient. The coffee was fine, but the Egg McMuffin's cheese was a few millimeters off-kilter. A travesty! Really, they basically invented standardized food and service.
