Go to another McD's! The are the worst here. They never take your order properly, they never give you the condiments that you ask for, or they just all out forget to put your food in the bag. Yesterday was the last straw for me. I ordered 2 happy meals for my sons and when I got up to the window there was only one order. I explained to them that they must have forgotten to order my other sons happy meal. I gave the young man my credit card to order another happy meal and his boss tells him that they can't take my order at the window. The manger couldn't say it to me even though she was all of 3 yards from the window. I asked her to come speak to me and she just walked off. They had 4 employees near that window and nobody could put in the order really quickly and make my day? Was it that hard? They young man looked like he would but his nasty boss was standing over his shoulder The young man then told me that I had to go and reorder and get back in the drive through line. Really, this is the slowest Mc D's in the DMV? I already waited in the drive through line for 15 minutes and I wasn't asking for anything for free all I wanted was a happy meal for my other child! The service at this location sucks, I noticed employees texting when taking orders and attitudes all around. This is why I go to Chic-fil-a , no matter what I ask it is always a pleasure to them and they only have one window. This location goes doesn't care about the clientele at all! On another note, the young people at this location are way nicer and easier to deal with than the older people and managers. All the older employees have a chip in their shoulders and they act like they are doing you a favor! read more

I had to wear a hoodie because I didn't want anyone to see me going in. Ok, I guess I'm not a fan of McDonald's. Their hamburgers are really not to the quality that I expect of a quality burger. Never was and never will be. However, McDonald's does have great fries and their breakfast are not bad. I have known to come in them for an Egg McMuffin every once in a while. Today, I came in for their coffee. It is really good. Much better than that expensive overhyped low quality bitter crap that Starbuck's serve. Oh dear. Literally the worst McDonald's I've been to in the area. MANAGEMENT IS HORRIBLE. When I say horrible, i mean this lady was once OUTSIDE of the drive thru window and tried to guide me to it as she stayed between the window and my care. -_- of course I didn't let it happen because that's just unnecessary. (I started writing this some months ago but as of 4/22/2016, there is STILL no change) now you can tell they have a limit on ordering because you ARE rushed to order, with a nasty attitude. I had the same miserable order taker try to tell me how to order because it was slowing down her time. Lol it's like at this point instilling shortcuts just aggravates customers more because IT IS STILL SUHLOWWWWWW SERVICE!!! Lol they PULL UP so many customers, then don't know who food belongs to who! It's like WTF all day with this location. Lol it aggravates me that I'm even typing about this because I usually run up there for like a yogurt, or some ice cream (OH, which is always conveniently "broken" after 7pm. And it's clear that NO ONE wants to CLEAN the machine. So Laziness infects all the air molecules in this location. So now, i just go to the one on 197 because I NEVERRRRR have a problem with them. 2 stars because the last 2 times I went there I received really good service and my order was correct. I really was surprised that on a Friday evening around 6, I was the only car in the drive through. I thought they were closed! McDonald's is a popular fast food chain and they're everywhere so service should be up to speed, right ? Sadly not. Most McDonald's are not super slow or severely backed up but this one, good gracious. One there were ANTS crawling around the ice tea dispenser so I told management they had a guy comes out with some sort of cleaning product slinging product everywhere. Several problems with this location. Three times I have been told to wait for a drive through item where the wait has been 10+ minutes and I have had to go on to ask for my food. Other than that, this McDonalds receives the 6 Flags crowds (ugh) and takes too long to get your order. Also it is a favorite of homeless who live in the park nearby. read more

As much as I regret having to write this about an establishment in my neighborhood (1min from home), I feel compelled to. This location has been consistently declining over the years. The service is unprofessional (managers included) and lethargic. waited in the drive through for approximately 20-25 min for 2 sundaes and a pack of apple dippers! So I was working at Michael's in Bowie (which is practically in the same plaza) and wanted a quick snack before starting my shift. I had 20 minutes. I ordered some fries. Of course, they told me to park in the designated drive-thru area. Figuring I still had some time, I anxiously waited. After waiting, I realized my shift started in about 5 minutes. So I walked inside, upset. By this time, I had no time to eat the damn fries. So I asked about my order and surprise, surprise, they never even made it. So I asked for a refund, and I told them I now did not have time to eat them before work (and I certainly wasn't going to wait longer and then have fries jus laying around). The employees looked at each other as if I was speaking gibberish. Then one of the associates tells me to wait a moment, and then walks away. He comes back asking, can we just give you a smoothie or something? O.0 um,,,, NOOOOOOOO? ! If I wanted a smoothie, I would ordered one and i specifically told you I don't have time to eat anything. So finally, a manager emerges and reluctantly refunds my money. Needless to say, I was late to work. I took my grandchildren to this McDonald's while we were visiting the Bowie area on 7/11/19 about 4:30 pm, wanting to get them happy meals, before heading back to Abingdon. First impression when walking through the door, clean, but not much seating as there was a large family dining, and using most of the tables that seated more then one. A staff member was ready and insisted that she to help me place my order on the digital screen, which I had no plans of using, but before I placed my order, my grandchildren and I wanted to wash our hands, we entered the ladles room only to find a women washing her feet in the only sink, of course we waited as she took her time, we really should have found another restaurant to eat in at this point, because I was grossed out and did not want to touch the faucet, but we stayed, before we could even leave the ladies room another woman in came in to wash her feet too. They were part of the large family using most of the tables. Back at the order screen the staff member helped place my order, I wanted to pay with cash, of course I still had to go to the counter to pay which is what I wanted to do when I walked in. Order placed we did not wait very long, but by the time I went back and forth to the counter to get missing items my food was lukewarm, I was already disgusted with the ladies room incident and now this. I was disappointed with this Macdonald's and will not return there when in the Bowie area. read more

I went in this morning to have my breakfast. When I got to work I noticed that I didn't have my hashbrown in my bag. So I called the McDonalds and spoke to the manager who told me that he was sorry but they had an electrical problem. I asked why they didn't tell me when I placed my order. He said that he was sorry but that it wasn't their fault. Last time I checked, Managers are accountable for their employees wrong doing. He proceeded to tell me that it wasnt his fault and that if I brought back what I ordered that he would return my money. Great customer service! You fail at being a manager and at life! read more

If I could give NO stars, I would. I have NEVER had such lousy service. All I ordered was a hamburger and a small order of fries. It was 2:00 PM on a Friday afternoon. I had waited in the long line at the drive-thru, placed my order and then moved forward to the delivery window... well, not quite... the white van in front of me had moved forward, but not far enough forward for me to get to the window. The woman at the window hung her head out the window and hollered at the driver of the van to, "pull over to YELLOW!" He apparently ignored her and simply held his spot right next to the front door of the establishment. Meanwhile, I inched forward enough to get within reach of the delivery window and she hollered at me to "pull over to YELLOW!" Sorry, I could not pull over anywhere... there was no room to pull out of the line. Eventually, another worker, clearly in no hurry, sauntered out of the door and over to the white van, handing the driver a bag of food. The van pulled out and I proceeded to "pull over to YELLOW," which means, cross the line of cars giving up on the drive-thru and make your way to the parking spots with yellow lines.... 5 minutes later a VERY large women, in less of a hurry than the first delivery person, made her way out of the door... She first approached the car that had been in line behind me and which was now pulled up to the front door, obviously refusing to pull over to yellow.... The bag was offered to the driver. The driver opened the bag and inspected the contents. Not hers. THEN the large woman meandered across the line of cars trying to leave, made her way to my window and said, "Is this yours?" Well, I suppose so. I ordered a hamburger and a small order of fries 15 minutes ago and it appears there is a burger and fries in the bag. As I drove off, eating my cold burger and cold greasy fries, I committed to myself that I would NEVER, EVER, no matter HOW STARVING I am, stop at this McDonalds again. Just awful. read more
