I love McDonald's and I'm not ashamed to admit it. My girlfriend and I started a photo collection of us eating mcchickens in front of historical landmarks and sights, so when we found ourselves near the Sagrada Familia, we decided to give the Spanish version of McD's a try. Given its location, this one was super busy and honestly needed some TLC because it wasn't the cleanest inside. All the orders were done at a kiosk and this part took longer than expected because there's just so much to click through. We got our normal orders of double cheeseburgers and mcchickens (mcPollo in spain) plus fries. While the burgers and mcPollo tasted similar, the fries and sauces just wasn't as good as back home. It's also way more expensive here which was surprise. One thing to note is that they have a couple items that look like the Spanish version of the mcChicken, so if you want the closest one that's similar, gotta do the McPollo because their value version wasn't very good. Going to other countries and trying out McDonald's to see how it's different is fun but I can safely say there's nothing remarkable about Spain's. Glad we tried it for our own research purposes and glad we were able to add a new photo to our collection while we ate our mcPollo's right outside of one of the most famous landmarks in the world! read more

McDonald's in Spain offers a variety of different items that you can't get back in the States. We may have over-ordered but we had to try everything. We had three sandwiches: CBO Adult Happy Meal (€9.50), McExtreme Double Pulled Pork (€9.10), McExtreme Intense Cheddar (€7.10). For sides, we also ordered the Chicken Wings (€3.30), Chicken McBites (€1.80), Cheese & Bacon Fries (€3.55). But the coolest thing you can get here is BEER (€3.25)! I wasn't a fan of the CBO burger, but the McExtremes were good. I liked the sides more as they were small portions too, so great to try. Overall, the food is decent but getting a beer at McDonald's is definitely such a treat for those over 18. read more

You might be wondering why would I go to a McDonald's in Spain but hear me out, this place serves beer and different menu items that you won't find in America. Each country has its specialty that gets brought to the table when you go to Mc Donalds in another country. So I stepped into this one which is right next to the infamous church Sagrada. We ordered through the monitors and it came out super quick. The potato wedges were my favorite but they also have cheese fries with some type of meat on top of it. Their burgers also are different types of sauces and something interesting to try. My friends and I just shared it by slicing things up and just trying bites. Overall it was an interesting experience since they also let you order a beer at 10:30 AM! So if you want to just have a unique experience and say hey you had a beer in Mc Donalds, then yes come on by and check it out. Try something different. read more

Went here for a quick breakfast before the Basílica tour (it's right across the street from this place) and I was surprised to see many items not available to order. They ran out of egg McMuffins, bacon and egg McMuffins. We ordered the ham and cheese on a small toasted bun, it was too plain tasting. They also had a Spanish omelet on a thick roll, that was not bad. The melon was nice and fresh, and the potato wedges were hot and tasty. The cappacinos were made well. read more

We had just finished our tour at Sagrada Famillia and stopped off for lunch. You got to try MCD in a foreign country to see the local stuff. Always interesting things on the menu. They have a Mc Fish which is like a Fish Fillet in the states instead of tartar sauce you just get plain ketchup, too funny. Also they got this Panzerotti with tomato and mozzarella which is like a little pizza tortino that you can buy at the grocery store. Pleasantly surprised it was good. The place of course was packed at 1pm. They didnt take Amex to pay, dont know why. read more

Had a quick dinner here a few nights while in Barcelona. It's actually quite pricey in my opinion, so many other better options to choose from, but for those late nights, it's convenient. We just wanted to try it to see if it was any different than the ones in the U.S...not much difference, still fast food, satisfying enough if you're starving. read more

I've always found it fascinating to see what McDonald's serves in different countries. I came to this one for a quick bite before my Sagrada Familia tour. It surprisingly wasn't too busy at 10am considering it is next to, perhaps Barcelona's biggest tour attraction. Using the kiosk made it easy to browse to my heart's content (and in English!). The meal that I ordered was pretty random and didn't compliment each other at all. But I ordered the jamon breakfast sandwich (love jamon!!!), mango, espresso, and beer (never expected beer at McDonald's, let alone for breakfast?!?). Sandwich was excellent: jamon was decent quality and the biscuit was soft and flaky. Mango had the texture as if it was still a little frozen, but was still delicious. Not an espresso expert, but it seemed to be of pretty good quality. It's McDonald's. Service was friendly and fairly quick. Food was good. What more can you ask for? read more

As an American tourist I am legally obligated to visit at least one McD's on every trip abroad or they take away my passport. Just kidding, I think....the truth is I wanted a beverage with copious amounts of ice and I knew McD's could deliver. Despite being across the street from Sagrada Familia, the busiest tourist destination in all of Spain, this location doesn't seem to know how to handle orders in an expedient manner. First, you have to order by touchscreen which is actually much more confusing than it should be, because if you ordered from one area of the menu a thing was like €8, but the same thing ordered from another part of the menu was like €3 and came with chicken bites. My tip is to stick with the "You pick" section, mostly because everything is like €3, comes with chicken bites and a drink filled with ice. After you place your order you pay at the counter, which is also confusing because other dumb tourists think you order there. Then, you watch the people behind the counter add and subtract things from your tray as they, too are confused. You can tell they're thinking "who is going to eat all this shite?" It took a LONG time to get our order and they weren't terribly busy so I can't imagine what it would be like in high season. Anyway, I got my drink filled with ice and got to try McD's version of croquetas which were actually pretty good. read more

When I go to a foreign land I like to go to McDonalds, NOT because the food is great but I like to see what they have different on the menu, I came here for Breakfast and it was pretty much the same so I wasn't going to bother writing this review.... so why did I? Needed a quick bite to eat before our tour of the Sagrada Familia and what could be quicker than McDonald's? OK, it wasn't the fastest but this area is like the Grand Central Station of tourism in Barcelona plus every school in the area picked the same day to do a field trip! Didn't bother trying to figure out the touch screen stations.We don't have those around here and luckily,we found a line with just a couple of people in it and I was soon able to place our order in my best Splanglish; dos Big Mac Juniors y dos cokes! As I waited for my order I was kind of amazed at how well everyone was working together to get all these orders out! Finally,as we were about to leave,it looked like a bus load of kids had been dropped off in front of the place and the only thing I could think of was,whatever McDonald's is paying their help,it's not enough! read more
