American breakfast (especially done right) is hard to find in Spain, and Mama's delivered on both food quality and a chic brunch experience. The back patio is intimate and cute, and the trees provide some relief from the warm Spanish sun. From what I could tell, it seemed like the patio was mostly tourists (given I heard English from several tables), and the inside locals. Nestled in Gracia, outside the beaten path, it doesn't feel touristy but I think its reputation is starting to spread. I definitely recommend the French Toast with whipped cream and jam, but if I were up for something savory, I also eyed a tofu option. Rounded out with a latte and fresh squeezed OJ, I was a full, happy bruncher. Given it's downhill, it's a reasonable walk from Parc Guell - go there as early as possible and then reward yourself with brunch!

One of the few places that serves a more substantial American style breakfast. The granola is excellent and their eggs with bacon and tomato is equally delicious. I tried their Valencia horchata and it is very different from the Mexican horchata you find in the states. It's more of an alternate milk drink. I believe the server tried to tell me it's made of tiger nuts. If you're in need of a heartier breakfast in the Gracia neighborhood, this is a good place to get it

Mama's cafe is one of the rare places in Barcelona that serves brunch. Brunch isn't a big thing here... I tried their omelette and bread with tomato. It was delicious! They have a full menu with many other American brunch food options.

This place is lovely. It is a small intimate restaurant but very cozy. In the front they have benches for comfortable seating along with chairs and a four seater breakfast bar. The menus come in English and Spanish if your language skills aren't the best. The have waiters that speak English and Spanish as well. The menu contains plentiful breakfast options and lunch options. Everything on the menu is freshly prepared, I.e. tomato bread, freshly squeezed orange juice (over a variety of fresh squeezed juices) as well as plentiful tea and coffee options. The eggs were scrambled just right and the bacon was crispy. There is even a roasted tomato on your plate. You can add fresh avocado too! The chai tea was perfect. The offer seating on the back but also very cozy. Watch out for the pancakes, they are huge and can be shared with your group and the maple service was very tasty. This place is named perfectly Mamas cafe as it is what I would expect when visiting my moms house for breakfast. You hade to visit Mama's cafe!

Possibly the best tasting breakfast I've ever had.

Wow. Simply fantastic in every way: - Ambiance - Relaxing atmosphere, breezy cafe with great music playing. - Coffee - The best cappuccino I've had in Spain, so I ordered a second at the end of my meal. - Food - Everything about my meal was in perfect balance - The eggs were perfectly cooked, salted and peppered to a wonderful flavor, fresh avocado slices, roasted tomato, rustic bread, all over a lovely bed of mixed greens. Hearty enough, but light enough, and healthy. - Staff - great service and nice people. One girl even wrote down the music that was playing for me so I could check it out later. Definitely going back before my trip is over!

I was a bit confused at first trying to get here since its bit apart from the touristic common places but it was worth the walk. Very simple and relaxing place. It's a small place which it's a bummer (you might want to go early to get a comfy spot) but that's not an obstacle for having a variety of good options on the menu and for a tasty and healthy (organic) food. Would highly recommend to visit this unique place.

I would move into this cafe and never leave if I could. The homemade tortilla wrap was so f****** good I ordered an extra one to take away.

We had a delicious brunch here while on vacation. This So-Cal family enjoyed the pancakes, French toast and vegetable omelette. The mimosas were a nice treat. Everything was a reminder of tastes from home. The outdoor patio was so charming. Definitely one of the best meals we had on the trip.

cute café in a cute area of barcelona. very vegetarian/vegan friendly with options for meat-eaters as well. my friend and I enjoyed the vegetable crudité appetizer. i also had the raw salad with tofu instead of an egg on top. very delicious, filling (yet light) food!

Great food and service ! Waitress was kind and helpful. Also waived the charge of a coffee beverage I simply wasn't a fan of.

Best pancakes in Barcelona. Hands down. Amazing. Mimosas are good. If you want an American breakfast while in Spain, I'd recommend.

They're light, buttery, and filled with just the right amount of cream, truly irresistible. And if you're a chocolate lover, their chocolate version is equally divine (you might just need to get both, trust me). But my absolute favorite treat here is the pan dulce con manzana. The buttery layers, the delicate apple slices caramelized just right, and the subtle sweetness make it the perfect pastry. Pair it with a strong espresso and you've got the ideal way to start your morning in Barcelona. The best part? You don't have to stop at breakfast. I always recommend grabbing one of their fresh bocadillos en pan casero to enjoy later in the day, or picking up one of their panes artesanos to savor at home, simple, rustic, and delicious even on their own. Forn Puiggròs isn't just a bakery, it's a ritual. Go in the morning, enjoy something sweet with your coffee, and leave with bread that will make the rest of your day even better.

There were six of us, so we kind of caught them by surprise, but the staff didn't miss a beat. They took good care of us with friendly and efficient service. The pastries were absolutely delicious, and the cappuccinos were spot on--just the perfect start to the day. Overall, Forn is a great little spot near Sagrada Familia for breakfast, and I recommend it if you're in the area.
