I have to agree with some former reviews, service is painfully slow... Even though it was not busy at all... Orders where mixed up and make sure to check your change.. that being said; The Egg Benedict Bagel was real good, Avocado Toast was a bit sparse and the Carrot/Apple Juices watered down but ok-ish.. Matcha Latte was wrongfully made with real milk instead of soymilk, so not drinkable for me.. So all in all, I would not come back, but if you have plenty of time and don't mind incompetent service but fresh made food, by all means give it a try.. maybe u r more lucky then us..

Who knew that brunch in a jar could be so good? Scrambled eggs with bacon and tomatoes.

Spending a month in Barcelona on holiday, this has been my go-to cafe for a bit of writing and the occasional brunch. Great drink/food, great atmosphere, and a very friendly and welcoming staff. Typically, I've gotten one of their refreshing and delicious special iced teas, but also enjoyed their iced coffees in the past. Free WiFi and ample seating, indoors or out.

This spot was very chill. It was crowded the entire time we were there so must be a local fave. Everything we ordered was delicious! Our waiter was great, very helpful and made local recommendations of things to do. This was a cozy spot to grab food for any meal or to just grab a drink. Loved it!!

Burger with guac and bacon

Place is way better than the tourist traps out near la ramblas only reason why I have it a four star was because the waffles were not good and cold along with the server moving us to another table when he said we can sit anywhere but other wise the chicken I got was very good with the sauce I'm not sure what it was but it was tasty. My girl got the burger with guac and bacon I had a bite and it was delicious along with the potato chips. I'd come back and would recommend to people visiting from the states nice vibe.

Cafe con leche and a cortado.

A great spot for brunch walking distance to the Picasso Museum. My cafe con leche was excellent and they perfectly steamed the milk. Our server was excellent and let us take our time. I had the Avocado Toast and my husband had a burger. There is a great outside area to sit at and a cozy corner all the way inside in the back. The cakes looked delicious maybe we'll stop by after the Picasso Museum for a slice.

Supeeeeerrrr Full!!! My girlfriend and I were skeptical to try this place out because of the rating, with only 3.5 stars, but we decided to see for ourselves how it is. We were greeted with a hello and opted to sit inside instead of on the terrace. The place is absolutely gorgeous, with a hipster feel to it. I ordered the classic mojito, while my girlfriend had the classic bellini (peach bellini). Both were great! My girlfriend tried my mojito but she found it a little too sweet, but it was perfect for me, as a I like it a little bit sweeter than usual. It's worth mentioning that the mojito was fairly cheap at €3.50, while the bellini was pretty average price at arouns €5.00. We had also ordered the guac with plantain chips which was absolutely delicious! It was our first time having guac with plantain chips and we weren't disappointed! I also had the eggs benedict while my girlfriend had the smashed eggs with mushroom, asparagus, and potato. Everything was really really amazing and delicious! Our total bill came up to around €30.00, but we felt it was well worth it!! Santiago was a really wonderful waiter as well, it's worth mentioning! We had also ordered

This cafe has a wonderful atmosphere which feels very cosy, with big armchairs and a "living room" look (well the kind of living room you wish you had but you dont). I have taken beetroot juice which was wonderful. My friend took pink lemonade- an actual homemade one and not the sweet glue they sell in the US and it was very nice too! as food we went for eggs florentine, which were good- not amazing- but then I am also super picky with breakfast food. I have asked for a version without dill sauce and the waitress made sure to make it happen. Id love to come again and try more.

Alsur is one of the best cafes in Barca for co-working, with its huge self-service area with tables aplenty and comfy couch seats. It boasts free wifi using Social Wifi, which means yes, everyone will see you checking in on FB each time you log on. The coffee is average, but they make up for it with amazing iced teas. The proper lunch fare is tasty but a bit pricey; going at lunch for their 'menu del dia' is the best option, with a drink, dessert and coffee for only 2 euros extra. Although table service is a bit less conducive for disappearing into your work, there's some great people watching to be had at the tables inside along the windows.

Really nice place to study, drink coffee and have a bite to eat. Great location in El Born neighborhood, lots of light and comfy seating. The coffee and juice we ordered were really good, and after studying for an hour or so we ordered the waffle grilled cheese to share which was the right choice. It was good but definitely not something you want to eat a whole lot of. Half the sandwich was the perfect amount.

Love the interior design with light bulbs hanging across the laptop area where one side has a row of single sofas with mini tables and the other side has benches with soft pillows. It's a nice place for an afternoon reading, doing works on the computer (free wifi available), or just spending time with friends. I had a brownie waffle with cream chesse (₡6.90) and freshly squeezed orange juice (₡3.95) for my lunch. I have been wanting to try their waffle since I saw it on the Instagram a month ago, and it's definitely worth for the trip. The waffle-shaped brownie is warm, soft and with a strong chocolate flavor. The cream cheese and the strawberries on top complement the sweetness of the brownie. However, it still gets a bit too sweet half way through. The staffs are nice and welcoming, although it does take awhile for them to take your order. Overall, it's a cafe with good food and nice atmosphere!

Lovely place right next to my hotel. Brunch all day was a plus and cheaper than the hotel offered. Had the pork eggs Benedict and nachos. Plan to return to try other things.

Banana Toffee Mocha and Cafe con Leche

I heard a lot about this place as one of the go-to places in El Born. It is located in a nice street and is one of the larger cafes in El Born. It has a nice atmosphere with lots of seats with a lounge area, a laptop area, and an outside seating area. The laptop area is decent for working and is considered the self-service area where you go up to the bar and order, then pick your own table. The cafe is air-conditioned, but it is not particularly strong and won't exactly cool you off during a hot day. The laptop area is decent for working, as it is generally quiet even with music playing in the background. There is both a couch area as well as round tables with stools that are slightly uncomfortable. Free wifi is avaliable, but you have to check in on Facebook or use your email. If you don't want everyone seeing you check-in, just switch to the post they make you post to be visible only for you. Unfortunately, the internet is kind of slow, but it is usable for the most part with no drops as far as I know of. There's practically no outlets. The coffee is mediocre. I ordered the Banana Toffee Mocha, but it honestly just tasted like chocolate and coffee. It was a bit too sweet, but in general I can't really tolerate sweet foods. The cafe con leche was average too. I also came here earlier and got a mojito which was below average. The prices were average for most coffee shops with seating areas. I haven't tried any of the other drinks, but they supposedly taste better. The services is okay. Because they bring the drinks to you, there's usually waiters moving about. In the self-serve area, it takes awhile for tables to get cleaned up because they have a large amount of area to cover. The bathrooms look nice but they have graffiti and scratches like most public restrooms. The toilets are shaped really weird, however, and there are no paper towels. When I was there, there was a chip on the toilet and the hand blow dryer was not working. Overall, although it took a decent amount of time to get the internet working, this place is decent for working. No wow factor, but I'd come back just for a place to work as I have not found another place with wifi and lots of seating.

I want to hate the place because it's a little full of itself, but I can't. It's awesome and creative. Try everything.

I wanted a good old fashioned burger and this place is THE PLACE to get it in España! Bacoa was everything I ever wanted and needed in a burger at this time in my life. We went to the location on Ferran, which is close by La Rambla. If it's your first time there, you fill out a piece of paper to place your ordered. You check what kind of meat, bread, sauce, sides, fries or extra sauce you want. I ordered the classic burger with bacon, caramelized onions and their truffle sauce with a side of skinny fries. Absolutely delicious!! This burger reminded me of Super Duper burger in San Francisco and that's saying something because I hold that place in high regard! The meat was cooked to medium rare perfection and tasty - meaning it was seasoned well. The caramelized onions added the right amount of sweetness and the bacon was bacon, lol. I can't get over the truffle sauce and how well it paired with the burger as a whole. I feel like the sauce helped to elevate the burger into amazingness. The fries were hot and crispy when they came out and not over salted. And it doesn't hurt that most of it is organic! I wish I had more space to order one of their desserts but I didn't, womp womp. If you have a chance to eat a burger in Spain, don't go to Burger King, go here!

Not the caramel- the chocolate one. I didn't try that. But the chocolate cheesecake was absolutely amazing. La Cehtral has a wonderful hip vibe to it, the people coming in are always happy, and they seem to leave very satisfied. Nicki, our waitress, doesn't serve in a pure function as a waitress because you order and pay online, or your order with golf pencils and a Spanish or English menu. But I would recommend you use the QR code, because it gives you a few more options, like cooking the burger medium or well, and things like adding an egg are included online. I don't know if you have the ability to use the picture I posted here of the QR code, but that would allow you to look at the menu and see the current prices. But be careful not to order unless you're sitting in the restaurant - understand that the QR code is keyed to that wood block, which in this case has the number three on it and that's what she uses to deliver the food to your table.
