Boo Boo and I came here for breakfast to fuel up before going to our walking tour. We were one of the first few people to dine as they just opened a few minutes prior. The restaurant quickly filled up as we were finishing up to pay. I had a cappuccino, nana drink and the poached egg with ham. My wife ordered the scrambled eggs with salmon toast and she got a flat white. We also shared the chocolate pancakes but with the chocolate on the side. The food was good. However, the portion was on the smaller side to my liking. That's why we ordered the chocolate to put me over to full. The chocolate sauce was not very sweet which we liked. We didn't need to have on the side but it was nice to dunk our pancakes in it. CC accepted.
So this is probably the first restaurant that I've eaten at using Yelp as the deciding factor. After the first day in Barcelona and eating at the hotel we wanted to try some local fare. This place did not disappoint. The ambience, staff and food was on point. Give it a try and you are in for a great meal.
Ah, the fancy breakfast in the morning consisting of brunch items. I had the Goat Cheese sandwich because of the overdosing of Jamon Serrano I have been indulging in every single day in Spain. It was good, but not excellent. The vegetables were fresh and the cheese plenty. The open sandwich eggs benedict were good, love runny eggs and herbs with the smoked salmon underneath, but it was a bit too heavy for an early morning meal. Dishes are medium large, so you can share. The place is small, and it does get packed fast. They also have a variety of cold pressed juices excellent for detoxing before you keep abusing your liver later that day. Nice but slightly slow service.
Laverne N. and I came by for lunch upon stumbling across this place on Yelp. The decor of the place was super cute with garage doors as walls and rustic tables. To start off, I ordered the austin juice, which included apple, orange, and carrot - YUM! I would definitely order this again. For an entree, I ordered the satay chicken, which was served in a curry + coconut milk sauce along with rice. I would pass on this dish and get something else. The service definitely could have been a little more attentive and more efficient. But overall, I could see this place being a nice place to study or hang out.
After eating so many potatoes, bread, and ham in Barcelona over the weekend, we were ready for something a little bit healthier and different than the traditional Spanish food. But maybe I should have stuck with traditional Spanish food because this was disappointing to me. Maybe I'm spoiled by having lived in San Francisco for too many years, and having had proper brunch food in SF, NY, LA, etc. but for the price and for what we got, I wasn't particularly impressed. This place seems pretty popular for weekend brunch, so be prepared to wait 15-20 min for a table. We had to catch a train and couldn't wait for a table, so we placed a to-go order and ate outside on a nearby bench which worked out quite well. I was happy they were able to do this. For those of you looking for WiFi, they don't have any free WiFi here. Huevos Rancheros - This had one flour tortilla, refried beans, melted cheddar cheese, salsa, and an egg. It was okay - for some reason the taste of the beans + cheese + flour tortilla reminded me of Taco Bell's burritos, which is not a terrible thing, but I guess I was expecting something different. I believe this was €10, which is not exactly cheap. The salsa was a bit on the sweet side (we've found this to be true in most of Europe) and not very spicy. This was okay, I didn't care for y poached egg with toast, so I actually preferred this dish over the one that I had ordered. Poached Egg with tomato jam, jamon on bread with a side salad - The bread threw me for a loop on this one - it was like a sweet hamburger bun that may have been like a milk-bread and toasted. It just didn't really go with the poached egg and savory flavors very well; I would have preferred a French bread or more like the traditional pan con tomate that is served in Barcelona. The egg was fine, it didn't particularly seem freshly poached to me, the ham was a bit salty, and the salad was just average - but I was happy to have some lettuce and tomatoes because it was the first salad I had had in days. Overall, I wouldn't really recommend this dish. They have other items like waffles, eggs benedict, fresh juices, and other very traditional brunchy foods from the States If you're visiting from a metropolitan city in the States and eat a fair amount of brunch foods like this, just skip this place as you'll be disappointed. I'm sure for some people who aren't used to eating foods like this, it will be fine. I don't think I'll be back here again though -- I'd give this between 2 to 2.5 stars.

Fresh juices (like the real thing made in house, not store bought) and quick service that will get you on your way while feeling good. Although, this place is quite charming, you'll probably want to stay for a bit after the check to look through the open windows/walls and soak in the local life of L'Eixample.
A trendy bohemian kind of brunch place in the center of Eixample. We came around 2pm on Saturday and had to wait around 30 minutes. It is not the worst wait since you can sit on the bench some meters away from the cafe in the shadows and enjoy watching people passing by. The cafe seems to be a mix match of locals, expats and wandering tourists which is a good thing because it gives it diversity. It is more on a pricey side for Barcelona but still a good option for a brunch in the area. My scrambled eggs with added mushrooms, Parmesan and salmon were seriously delicious. It is always like this with simple food- not that easy to get it right but if you do, it's top notch. The juices are good, they are more light than rich. The most I loved about the place is a decor, it seems so trendy, with this little magazines and comics lying around, big lamps hanging quite low and a big wood table to share. I would come back
Great brunch spot! A lot of options and all delicious. I particularly enjoyed the mimosas with fresh squeezed orange juice. The service was a tad bit slow, but we went at peak brunch time: Saturday late morning. Definitely recommend! read more

Excellent breakfast spot. Very tasty food. Moderate prices. The waitstaff has just the right balance of "I'm here to serve you" with "your presence irritates me" to provide that authentic Catalunya restaurant experience. read more

First-round- seasonal fresh juice. Today's juice was made of an orange, watermelon, and raspberry.. we couldn't help ourselves... Pancakes with mango sauce and I went with the waiter's recommendation of the Açaí and chia pudding - both were great choices! read more

Service hurt the experience, slow to start and then an order messed up. Benedicts were decent, no flavor wows but simple and straight forward. Huevos was probably the favorite. Waffle was deeeeeeelish! read more

This place was recommended for breakfast food and did not disappoint. Food was yummy and so was the green juice. All at a pretty good price and many options to choose from. There's also outdoor seating for warmer days which is always a plus. read more

We were on our way to Sagrada Família and came across this place. A well decorated and nice place for breakfast or lunch. We had to wait outside because it was packed. I had the fried eggs and it was good. I would recommend this place. read more

Very very nice breakfast and brunch! Service was great as well as atmosphere. Kids had pancakes and French toast, and we had scrambled eggs and eggs Benedict. Fresh squeezed juices are must to have! read more

One of the best coffeeshops in Barcelona. Clean, modern, extremely eclectic menu and amazing baristas. My favorite. Try the chocolate cake with a cafe con leche or cpme back for brunch with a lot of good options. read more

Best brunch spot in Barcelona! Very cute spot, very well decorated and a good mix of tourist and local customers. Servers were very friendly and spoke great English. We ordered their Banana Chocolate Pancakes, Salmon Benedict, and the Waffle. All three were incredible; the banana chocolate pancakes were rich and decadent and unlike anything I have ever tasted. The benedict was up to par with any expensive brunch place in San Francisco; every element was cooked perfectly and delicious together. The waffle was quite unique, with lots of interesting toppings and a whipped cream to top it off. It was lighter than the chocolate pancakes but still equally as satisfying for that sweet tooth. Also ordered mimosas and their freshly squeezed juices. Highly recommend the seasonal juice! Very refreshing and definitely freshly squeezed. Everything was very great, but the chocolate pancakes are definitely a MUST TRY!! If you are looking for a traditional Spanish breakfast or brunch, this is not your spot. But for a very American-inspired brunch place, this hits the spot! Great find! read more
This is a great casual spot for breakfast or lunch. There are plenty of vegetarian options, including the best hummus I've had in Europe. We also had a burrata salad with heirloom tomatoes and tuna that was great and a generous size. We were seated at a communal table, but we didn't feel crowded. The staff is super-friendly, speaks English, and there are English menus. There are tons of fresh fruit juices in addition to decent coffee or a selection of wine & beer. Their iced coffee frappe was especially nice on a hot day - the milk was very frothy but no sugar was added (which is what we prefer) read more
A relaxed yet trendy cafe with that mis-matched chic vibe that is associated with hipsterdom. We sat a big sharing table with a cute family. The juices are awesome here. Creative flavours that work perfectly. The cakes in the display cabinet looked so tempting but we decided to order some brunch off the menu. The heuvos ranchos were awesome - spicy and generous! I loved the smoked salmon pizza - it was very light and refreshing but again, a massive serving. Prices were slightly higher than normal but no where near what you would expect to pay for such large servings of delicious brunch food where I am from (Melbourne.) The waiters were also lovely and only spoke spanish with a little bit of English, which I loved as I got to practice my Spanish. They were so friendly and welcoming too. This is a great place to experience a trendy Barcelona brunch! read more
Great brunch place for anyone in l'eixample or touring the sagrada familia in Barcelona. I ordered the Nini juice which was this pineappley drink and a order of huevos rancheros. The juice was pretty delicious, light and airy and was perfect for starting and energizing me for the morning. The huevos rancheros came on a bed of refried beans, mushrooms, cheese, and a tortilla. It was topped off with some yummy sprouts that were sort of bitter enough to cut through the heaviness and grease of the beans. The huevos were 11 euros and the large juice was 4. I'd definitely recommend this place for brunch in the morning when all the popular brunch places all have queues. There is plenty of seating and the waitstaff speak English! This place is really cute and has a lot of character. It has tables outside to enjoy on a nice day. The food and service was exceptional and they also have natural juices- we are used to natural juices that are a little sweeter, these were a little tangy for my taste, but good overall. read more

Very nice decor and good vibe, as well as friendly staff. We ordered the yoghurt, toast with avocado and the eggs Benedict with spinach. We also had a large juice and one tea and one coffee. The bill was 30 euros in total, so a bit pricy. The food looked good, but was a bit boring to eat - the quality was ok, but there was a need for a special touch, such as spices or other nice details. In total, the good vibe and the ok quality made it nice, but we really needed that extra touch in the food - especially at the relatively high price. read more

You will enjoy this.. Clean, fast and great food. Check out the photos. A few notes Pancakes are not US style.. They slightly larger silver dollar pancakes. Not bad, just different. Do not get them dry The Arnold smoothie with Avocado was pretty good! It's big.. Buy one for two folks Ham and eggs an easy win Yogurt and granola was also an easy win read more

We had a group of 7 and only had to wait 20 minutes for a table at noon on a Saturday. Definitely an all-time favorite brunch according to every member of our group! Chicken Korma, eggs benedict, chocolate & banana pancakes, huevos rancheros, and scrambled eggs- all delicious! And if you're questioning whether or not to get a mimosa or beer, go for it! The orange juice was freshly squeezed, and the beer on tap was great. Service was friendly. Menus were available in Catalan and English. They only allow 1 bill per table. read more
Hit the spot! My boyfriend found this place on yelp for brunch and wow is it amazing. Frappe in California is more of a slushy here it's just ice coffee. Still amazing if you have a lot of things to do on your vacation. I was really good was there pancakes wow I had to split it with my boyfriend it was so much sugar but it was fantastic one-of-a-kind. Let's just put it this way we had to come back the next day right before flight. Also, Sally was very good. Looking forward to our next visit to Barcelona just so we can eat here for brunch read more

I'm still sitting here at the Granja Petitbo as I write this waiting for my hubby to finish his breakfast. It's funny, I don't even know how to write this review. The food we got was really tasty but here is what I've encountered: 1) My fork was dirty and I asked for a new one; 2) Forks and napkins were brought to us in a tin cup but the problem is, there was only one napkin in it so we had to ask for another; 1) I ordered eggs with salmon and avocado but instead of avocado I got some organic salad, just look at the photo. I realized it after starting eating and didn't want to make fuss about it (after asking for a fork). I generally hate complaining but this is some serious difference between what I ordered and what I got, right? ;) 4) One lovely young waitress asked if we wanted anything else and I told her no, thanks, just a check. We are still waiting for a check. She obviously forgot about it and we had to ask again ;) Overall, everything we ate (poached eggs and egg Benedict) and drank (orange juice, orange and carrot juice, coffee Americano and latte macchiato) were good but the service apparently has some loopholes. So my advice is, do come in but double check your order and everything they bring to you ;) I'm removing one star from my original 4-star review because before leaving the cafe I shared this review (everything above) with a young male waitress who speaks English there and instead of acknowledging it and apologizing for the experience (that's what would happen in USA where we have service- and client-oriented business) he frowned and told me I had to ask for avocado instead of writing this review and that the waitress who served us was new and didn't speak English. Bizarre thing is, avocado sounds the same both in Spanish and English, right? ;) And the waitress who served us was the oldest in the cafe (she looked at least 35 while everyone else looked between 20 and 25) so I don't know how "new" she was. I told him there were other things too in addition to missing avocado but he simply dismissed me. Overall, weird experience. I definitely won't be going back. And now I know how they couldn't care less about their clients. Oh and my hubby had said his food was cold. I didn't mention it in my initial review but if they don't care about us, I don't care about them either. I'll take another star off from this review now. read more
