I asked for a cup of ice and received a small cup of ice halfway full. They charged me $1.50 which is the price of a medium or large drink. They could have at least filled the cup all the way especially after making me pay for ice. Ridiculous. Have never liked this mcdonald's. Rarely ever had a good experience at this location.

A receipt of what I requested versus what I got.

It was slow cooked in a cider with carrots & a large dollop of garlic smashed potatoes. I got the side order of bread with it, which went perfectly! It was divine! Not gamey for those who may be more sensitive to that flavor. It was the perfect hearty meal for a cold day. I'm not a beer drinker, so instead I opted for the birch beer soda! It was delicious & I loved that I was able to opt for a local drink and flavors. Highly recommend!

I didn't get a chance to compare but I enjoyed my meal at 49th state and the service was excellent. - root beer - 5/5, so fun to try their locally brewed root beer, love a good root beer! - seafood chowder - 5/5, super delicious, with generous chunks of salmon, halibut, clams, potatoes, creamy with dill - yum! One of the best chowders I've had anywhere - parmesan asiago crusted halibut - 4/5, highly recommended by our server as her favorite item even though she doesn't like seafood. It was a solid offering, and could have been better if the garlic mashed potatoes were more tasty (the Alaska Lounge horseradish mashed potatoes would have been a better accompaniment) and seasonal vegetables which in this case were carrots and parsnips neither of which are my favorite (and in my book it's not a vegetable if it's not green) - sourdough bread pudding with vanilla ice cream - 4/5, I love a good bread pudding. This one was good, not great. It was an enormous portion and sitting in a pool of butter? something else? and not so delicious that I felt like I needed to have more than a few bites. I was glad I went for the fun atmosphere and would return just for the seafood chowder.

After perusing the few tables that had people eating burgers, decided to go with the wrap option, not wanting a loaf of bread surrounding my burger! Got the keto wrap, it had bacon and an egg, they must be pushing it or it's new, since it was cheaper than the wrap without all the extra protein. Either that or common sense took a vacation from the cold in Anchorage. Cashier was very helpful despite my clown like behavior. KETO Burger!!! Very pleasing to the eye, wrapped in a generous amount of crunchy iceberg, boom, could have used more sauce, but I'm a sauce kind of clown, plenty to get from the condiment bar. Nice crunchy bacon, boom, she said mustard was absent had to get my own. Over all not bad, certainly not the best in Anchorage like a previous reviewer, that was obviously may or may not be connected to the restaurant .... Hmm what am I some kind of a clown? A few tips to improve the burger, add on the tomato pickles and onions. Also burn a brand into the lettuce like the buns, would be way cool. And don't be afraid to sauce it up, some of us Keto types need a lot of taste to combat the boring taste of iceberg. Take heed, the clown has spoken,

Our family made regular trips here back in 60s after a day of work at Merrill Field. Recently we were greeted by the owner's daughter (same age as me) who runs the place now. It was a delightful reunion. I highly recommend this place for its Alaskan authenticity among other good reasons.

And yeah, the seafood does live up to the billing. But sometimes, you just want some fried chicken or a burger. And when that mood hits, Lucky Wishbone is the place to go. So it looks like a diner, it feels like a diner, but the eats are far, far better than any diner I've been to in awhile. Fried chicken? You betcha. 3 piece, all dark, side of mashed potatoes and gravy, and cup of their chowder (on a side note, I dare say that all chowder in Anchorage is outstanding!!!). Loved the fried chicken. Delicious. Beautifully fried. I probably could've put a couple dabs of hot sauce but that's only because I like a little heat. Mashed potatoes and gravy (Alaska potatoes are also outstanding!!!) hit the spot. Chowder was so good : super creamy and loaded with seafood and potatoes. Maybe I should've order a small bucket to take back home with me. Both the service and the place was warm and friendly. Sufficed to say, I had a most enjoyable lunch here.
