We are visiting Alaska and couldn't leave without trying the Denali burger. They had plenty of parking and I did notice most people did carry out or drive through, but didn't think much about it. Due to the snow there was a bit of mud by the entrance but nothing major. The food came out pretty quick and we went upstairs. This location is INVADED by homeless... be aware that there will be homeless everywhere inside. I decided to eat and leave, but should've just eaten in the car. While we ate, a group of about 4 homeless came upstairs and decided to start doing drugs right there and then. Where's the manager you may wonder. The manager was doing an interview 1 table away from the group of homeless doing drugs. I am not from around here and didn't know that is normal here since nobody seemed to be surprised. My bf freaked out and told me to hurry up. As we walked down the stairs, there was a puddle of pee and drops of blood... The service was horrible today. If I could zero stars I would. We were in line for 20 minutes, and another 10 minutes at the payout. So.ething wasn't working. I called and ask to speak with a manager about the the milk that burned me, the wait and the cold food. A boy said he was a manager, and was very disrespectful. His bad attitudeexcalted really quick. Are we not allowed to talk to a manger about our concerns? I asked for the manager again, he said to call back. I called a few more times, he didn't say anything and hung up. The only positive thing I can say about this location is they don't screw up your orders. Over the last few years, the quality of service here has diminished the location is very uninviting. The last few times I've had a French fry attack, I've gone inside to order and waited 10 minutes or longer. My food is physically making me sick even after I took it back the oil that they cooked. The chicken strips in was old. The first round of chicken strips they gave me were once and I've been sitting for hours. They had to been because they were stale and just completely tough. You couldn't even bite into it like it was so disgusting and then when they gave me a second round, dude I've never these chicken strips were amazing like that's usually what I get cooked properly. This place was usually one of my favorite places to go late at night cause I drive Lyft late at night. The service was awful. It was just it wasn't how it used to be people smiling you know just a better atmosphere this atmosphere was completely just didn't care didn't care about the quality of food. They were putting out the quality of customer service they were giving I was completely disappointed and you know we work hard for our money and if we trust an establishment to go and eat and they just give us shitty food it's online and what sucks is that nothing's gonna be done about this and I haven't been to McDonald's in a long time because of it I mean, I just won't go to that store anymore and more more people that I talk to you aren't going to that store anymore. 1 Star I'm honestly disgusted and concerned after my visit here. I came in expecting a quick bite, but what I saw made me lose my appetite entirely. First off, the cleanliness of this place is horrible. Employees were coughing openly, not washing their hands, and still handling food like it was no big deal. One person literally spit in the trash and then went right back to prepping food without even rinsing their hands. It was so unsanitary, I felt sick just watching it. Things got worse when I had to use the restroom. It smelled awful, but what really disturbed me was overhearing employees talking and laughing about wiping nasty things on the toilet seat on purpose. It was clearly aimed at someone, and honestly, it felt like I was witnessing some kind of harassment or bullying happening right there in the workplace. This place is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Not only are they violating basic food safety, but the behavior is flat-out inhumane. I'm shocked the management allows this kind of environment to exist. Maybe I just got lucky, but this is the best McDonald's, BY FAR that I've been to in Alaska. Why? They had both drive-throughs open and it was extremely fast. I come through this drive-thru 2 days a week to get a Large soda on my way to work. That is all I want, the $1.50 large soda. I don't know why but during rush time for breakfast and lunch they only have one drive thru open. So, it's a McDonald's, but one that has been here for many years. In fact, as a teen this would be a hit up spot before cruising the strip on Friday and Saturday nights. If you've grown up in Anchorage in the 90s you know what it means to cruise the strip. Now, it's a poorly laid out fast food joint, where the drive thru lanes are willy nilly around the parking lot. Came in for a cup of joe for the pop. Any size is $1, and choco chip cookies are 3/$1. Nice people at the register, but when we tried to pull out of the parking spot we were boxed in by people behind us trying to go through the drive thru lane on the south side of the joint. Inside isn't terrible, but it's gone through so many renovations over the years, it's like pick a lane people. May come again if my pop wants cheap coffee on the go. read more

Please make sure you double check your sandwiches before taking off because these employees don't care about what is being requested on the receipt & it's obvious look at all the wrong orders that people reviewed on. I'm allergic to cheese so I requested NO Cheese, No Sausage, sub with REGULAR BACON & I got everything I didn't ask for. I called @9:10am 04-5-22, they wanted me to drive back but I was already on the other side of town by then. plus that's a waste of gas. How is it hard to do the job correct so us customers don't have to waste gas driving back because of an employees mess up? So what's wrong with this picture. We go to McDonalds Drive-thru, to get our son a late night snack. This is where the problems start. 1. They tell us "cash only". 2. No code from their app. 3. So we get to the window, and come to find out what we ordered we were told $27.95 We thought maybe since the guy had a heavy accent that maybe we miss heard him. We asked again, $27.95. That was 2 large fries, lg sweet tea, lg frappe, and 2 McDoubles + bacon. They wanted $5.50 per burger. For a burger that costs $3.10 adding bacon costs $2.40. The really messed up part is their website says bacon is $2.00 I think they are scamming everyone. The McDonalds app says they are closed but the Line is wrapped around the building. I think they are pocketing the money and hising it from corporate. This happens every night there. To whom ever owns that McDonald's on arctic & no. Lites in Anchorage should be look at carefully. late night cravings for fast food and not in a mood to drive fat so tried this McDonald's instead of the one in walmart(which we are not fans of) we were first of all surprised to see the long line in the drive through at 12 AM and this is the first Walmart in Anchorage which served food that tasted like all the other McDonalds in the lower 48. A poor McDonald's for all the normal reasons. Slow service, lots of people and lines, and a lot of homeless just hanging out smelling bad. It's hard to eat with an overwhelming body odor swirling around from four different homeless people glaring at you and begging for your salty fries with their eyes. I was just highly disappointed by this establishment, again. When the new crispy chicken sandwich came out, the first one was delicious. The other 4 times I have been served a box of thrown together garbage. I am almost sure the first one had tomato. Of course that was the only one that did. The sandwich is now a grisly Greasy piece of garbage with a big glob of mayo, and one time they even got some of it on the bun. It looked like they stood across the room and threw the lettuce in the box. A little bit of that also accidentally got on the sandwich. And to top it all off the number on the receipt supposedly to the store is a dud. I don't care much for McDonald's food but i do have a 6 year old great niece so i go about once a month at a minimum for a happy meal. This location used to be excellent. I don't know what has happened over the past couple of months. The service has changed and the food seems worse. Wow. Been here a good amount and normally they're pretty swell. But I came to order literally one thing. It took 10 seconds to order and I was the only one in line, and I've been waiting 20-25 minutes now??! 15 minutes ago the dude at the window mumbled something at me once, I said "I'm sorry say that again." He mumbled again, and I repeated "I'm sorry I don't understand you, what did you say?". A THIRD TIME this dude says something I can't understand followed by him pointing and I could barely understand "please wait" in his slurred sentence. So I pulled up next to the building about 10 to 15 feet forward in no exact marked location, hoping that I was in the right spot and that my food would eventually come. Dude finally walks out whistling lackadaisically, hands me my food and says nothing and then walks away before I can even confirm if this is the right food or not. Anytime I have gone there the staff have been friendly and helpful. The food is always hot and they get the orders out quick. I have used McDonald's for breakfast 2000+ times in my life, in the U.S. In 30 different states, in Europe and Canada on multiple occasions. So I think that I have a broad spectrum of comparisons to rank various McDonald's. Anchorage McDonald's are the worst when it comes to a staple of this ubiquitous chain, it is the absolute easiest item to prepare and I do not understand how the management continues to fail over a five year period to not change this. They absolutely ruin every hash brown they make. This is amazing as it is removed from a freezer and placed in a fryer that has a button that is pressed for hash browns, it fries for a prescribed amount of time, a beeper goes off and a person removes the item, salts and serves.
