If I could leave 0 stars I would. They cut me off after only one drink, said "we don't serve your kind here"

Best low key bar around. Cheap drinks. Plenty of pool tables. Nice bar to sit down and have a drink.

Came by here with my training team after a long day of corporate learning. This place is an old…read moreschool house/business so the house is the main eating area while the basement is the bar/happy hour area. Drinks were very good and fairly priced. We had a group of 7 and had drinks and several appetizers for under $250. Here in Cali that would be easily in the mid to high $300s. They have good beers on draft (sorry I forgot the name of the one I got but it was a porter). Give this place a visit but come early as it gets packed!

I came here with a coworker for dinner one night. There was no room at the bar so we ended up going…read morewith a table. We were the first two in the room, but there ended up being a few very loud parties that also ended up sat in the room with us - totally not the fault of a restaurant for that, but just know that sound carries in the room on the opposite side of the hall from the bar. The vibes of the old house were great though! Once sat, our waitress was alright. She was kind of quiet (especially once the louder groups were in) and not overly friendly, but food and drink delivery was prompt so that was nice. I got a cider and my coworker had a couple of beers. We split the caramel shrimp (very tasty) and I also had the cheddar IPA soup. The soup was good but could have used maybe just a bit more salt for my taste. He wound up getting the pub burger and said it was delicious. I had the BLT and added fried chicken. The chicken wasn't the fried chicken I imagined (not as breaded/crispy) but the sandwich was really good! Overall, it was a neat spot that I'd go back to if I was in town.

The service can also be a bit slow sometimes, they don't always seem to staff the place adequately on their busy nights. But for a casual/chill American dining experience, 22 West is your spot!

I wanted to like 22 West Tap and Grill more than I actually did. Occupying the space previously…read moreknown as The Office Bar & Tavern, 22 West is a nice, casual tavern setup right on Route 22 with a solid-looking menu featuring a wide variety of burgers, sandwiches, and entrees. I recently met a friend at 22 West for a few drinks and dinner. We got there at the tail end of Happy Hour and enjoyed a couple of locally-produced draft beers. The food itself was perfectly okay -- nothing mind-blowing, but decent enough for a casual bite. We shared a dozen chicken wings and both thought they were pretty good. I had a turkey burger and french fries -- which was well-executed and filling. Looking at their website, it seems as if they've changed up their menu since my visit late last month.. but, I'm not sure I'm going back to try it again because the service really dragged our experience down. We sat at the bar and the staff behind the rail barely paid attention to us and seemed ambivalent about our presence at best. The biggest issue for me happened when I went to the men's restroom and found the soap dispenser completely empty. On the way back to my seat, I mentioned it to the hostess so it could be addressed by the staff and asked if she had any hand sanitizer. She just told me it was her first day on the job and she didn't know who to ask about either. Leaving a restroom without soap is bad enough, but a front-of-house staff member completely brushing off a basic hygiene issue because she didn't want to find a manager is just really bad customer service. It's a convenient spot with decent pub food, but they definitely need to tighten up their service and basic restroom maintenance.

They actually vaguely have a similar set-up to Troon Brewing and the Brick Farm Tavern, in that the brewery doesn't have its own formal tasting room, and a full service bar is the exclusive tap for the brewery. Northside Lounge actually has a separate Yelp page, but it's hard to review each separately because they overlap. You can order cocktails or other kinds of beer. They have basic food items available, too, which are inexpensive. The Brooks Brewery list is on a dry erase board, as pictured. IPA snobs won't like them. I thought that they were light, fresh, and drinkable. The Belgian cherry one was the best. They are a 1 barrel system. It's a very modest place, and it has a dive bar atmosphere. But there's charm. Friendliness is always important to me. Every single person said hi to me, from the brewer to the bartender to all the after work patrons. Manville is an interesting town. I thought that being in the part of NJ that it is, it would feel more upscale. It actually is a blue collar Polish town. It feels as if you're in the heartland of the country. I enjoyed the overall experience at the Brooks Brewery even if it's not the most posh brewery in NJ.

The peanut butter porter just tasted like flat doctor pepper and I had high hopes for that one. The atmosphere was underwhelming as well. Inside was run down and no one that was walking around was wearing masks. Not even the bartender was wearing a mask. Outside it smelled like ripe trash/ cigarettes with lots of mosquitos all around. Overall glad I tried it but wouldn't come back.
