Oh my gosh!!!! This was the best decision we made for our wedding!!!! My husband and I just had our wedding this past Saturday and it was truly magical but one of the best parts of the day was our choreographed dance! Neither of us had any dance experience besides dropping it low at the club back in the day ( elder millennials ) so this was nerve wracking for us at first. We found McCann dance via another yelp review and booked the intro lesson on a whim. We ended up with Elisa McCann who happens to be an INCREDIBLE professional dancer and a fantastic teacher!! We had 7 weeks to get a dance locked in. Well, that we did. We met with her once a week up until our wedding and she customized choreography for us, pushed us out of our comfort zone just enough to WOW the crowd, but made sure the moves were things we were physically capable of doing. Every week we showed up to our lesson happy to share that we'd been practicing. I want to shout from the rooftop that this studio is incredible and I LOVED our custom wedding dance!!! Do it. Do it. Super nice instructors !!! We learn something new every class and have a great time learning!

I may not be the typical student for this studio but I couldn't help but take a moment to rave about my experiences so far. I live in Nashville and take my lessons at a studio there. But I come here for work and in the weeks I spend in the area I WANT to dance. So last year (2023) I just dropped by and asked to join a group class. They were more than welcoming and made me feel comfortable in the class at my current level. Well tonight I came back after some time away and the lady at the front greeted me (remembering me!) and the instructors were amazing just like last time. I can say I highly recommend! A few years after COVID, I was looking to pick up dancing again. However, my former studio had closed their local branch. That's when I was introduced to McCann Dance after attending a local event where a couple of their instructors hosted a group lesson. I attended an Open House shortly after that, had my introductory lesson and group class, and I've been with them ever since. My husband and I took classes here for our first dance. We both have very little experience with any kind of partner dancing and were really nervous to start. It ended up being one of the best decisions we made in wedding planning! Not only did we have a fun and romantic first dance choreography exactly to our preferences, but we really loved every 45 minute session of dance class which required us to be present, drop in, and spend quality time learning something new. We had so much fun and it took our minds off the stress of wedding planning. The instructors we worked with (Michelle and Stephen who is one of the owners) are lovely people with so much talent and knowledge. We definitely plan to return for more lessons soon and try out some of the group classes. Cannot recommend McCann Dance more highly! read more

We signed up for 4 lessons- (first was Free) with Daniel-we have sn event that we wanted to be prepared for and Daniel was perfect for this! He patiently and with humor and kindness walked us through 2 different styles over the 4 lessons - it was such a wonderful experience and we highly recommend Daniel for any of your dance coaching needs - and although we did not do any of the group activities it looks like it would be very fun for singles male, female, young and older - it's a very warm, relaxed inviting dance studio! read more

The atmosphere at the studio is relaxed and fun & without the heavy sales atmosphere I felt at multiple previous studios, but the instructors really know what they're doing, and have taken several of us to high levels of success in competitive ProAm dance competitions. I've been able to qualify with my McCann Dance pro partners for the Best of the Best National Finals in both Smooth Dancing & Showcase, and none of it would have happened without the teaching and partnering skills of my lady pros and, in the case of Showcase, the tremendous choreography skills of the studio pros. I've won Top Solo at 5 different dancesport events with 3 different routines choreographed at the studio & danced with my McCann partners. But the everyday atmosphere at the studio is still the best part & most of the students happily enjoy the private & group lessons, parties, & outings without any intent to compete. read more

Stephen and Elisa McCann are amongst the best professional dancers in the USA and the World , they are great instructors and yet very personable and easy going. You don't have to be an aspiring champion to dance here, but you may become one if you have the drive to do so. Stephen and Elisa have taken some of their students all the way to the top of the pro-am ranks. Dancing with Stephen has been an absolute dream for me, like a breeze we got to become the National 10 dance Champions in Florida and we kept growing after that . Some of us also had the honor to represent the USA in Blackpool England several times bringing home not just a title but a bagful of amazing memories. I was tired of sitting on the sidelines so I decided to learn how to dance with style. I signed up for group lessons with Elisa and Stephen and had a blast. Everybody had different skill levels but everybody helped each other which made it fun. I took private lessons with Stephen and he created a routine for me.
