This place deserves more traction. It truly is a hidden gem not just in Oceanside, but in North County altogether. It's the only dance studio in the area that offers quality adult and kids dance classes AND socials and events to be able to put to practice your skills. Their classes are beginner friendly, welcoming, and informative with the chance to progress to other levels or with their performance teams. If you're looking for something new, returning to dance or looking for community, Vedanza is the place to find it. read more

Very responsive owners and really looking forward to our classes!!! Will provide more feedback after our first class!

Vera is so nice & supportive. I have gone to 2 of the Wednesday night rooftop social dancing & have had a great time. There's a lesson 6-7pm & then open dance 7-9pm. Plenty of ppl to dance with, I don't go with a partner & always have a partner. Im a beginner & the group is really helpful & encouraging & I've gotten better in the 2 nights I went. I highly recommend the dance studio & Wednesday night rooftop events!. read more

If you're like me, someone who has always wanted to learn to dance but have two left feet, zero rhythm, Vendanza is your new dance home. My teachers Vera and Amy love what they do and possess the genuine teaching gene, along with an abundance of encouragement and patience. I've tried taking beginner lessons twice at different studios but I always left feeling embarrassed, self conscious and not achieving my minimum goal of learning a few steps and applying it to music. This all changed when I signed up for the new student pass which gave me access to 2 classes. It was so much fun and the mind blowing part I should say a miracle , I actually achieved doing basic steps to music!! AND I didn't need to bring a partner. Vera structures the class to bring you on the road to success and you feel totally at ease getting there. This is huge as I'm very self conscious. The first half of beginner bachata (and salsa, each class is an hour; 630 pm and 730 pm tues ) is learning the steps solo and the last half is partnering up. Regarding partnering up : Vera the owner, has such a dedicated student body, the more advanced students consistently show up for the beginners class which in my opinion provides for fun and productive dance and contributes to solidifying and speeding up your learning progress. Each week I notice improvement. Everyone there is so patient, helpful , and good natured toward us newbies , it's just so inspiring and keeps me coming back for more. I'm developing my dancing skills and having a blast while doing it. The social dancing events Vera sponsors are the cherry on top. (I've attended 6) Food , drinks. A professional DJ and truly the way to put your new dance moves to good use. The convenient and economical dance packages offered range from 4- class pack to unlimited , this so you can choose what best fits your lifestyle and schedule. Or you can just drop in by the class If you're similar to me and have a dream to dance when that music comes on, I highly recommend VeDanza to achieve it. You'll be happy and so proud of yourself that you did , read more

Posting a long overdue review because I have been going here for years! I started out learning social dancing at Vedanza and now am on one of the performance teams. This studio has become like family, everyone is so welcoming and friendly. Vera and Amy have helped me to grow my confidence and ability in salsa and bachata after I started knowing next to nothing. They are so positive and their love for teaching shines through. Their lessons are excellent for beginner through intermediate and I have found this to be the least pushy/salesy studio- they are just there to support your dance goals, unlike some of the big chain studios that try to upsell you super expensive packages. I also love that they have events around San Diego and support the local businesses. read more

Went to a social dance class here. The place itself was nice, very well lit and lots of mirrors. My only complaint was that as a beginner the instructor went way to fast. Instead of asking if the class was all beginners she asked is this anyone's first time. No one raised their hands so she taught the class as if we were all proficient. Unfortunately it led to a lot of uncomfortable dancing that the class was painful to get through. But once social started and more senior dancers were able to guide less experienced dancers it went more smoothly and I enjoyed my night. read more

Vedanza, the studio and dance community has been such a highlight in my life. Vera and the team are supportive and provide a space for dancers from all places to connect and grow. I love going to classes and seeing new friends and have been so grateful for the lessons that go beyond the dancefloor. I've steadily grown confident in social dancing with all level dancers and feel so happy with my progress. What makes this place so special are the many people of all ages levels and experiences that offer up their kindness and make this dancing experience unforgettable. The environment is welcoming and so lovely. Also, being part of the beginning Salsa Ladies Performace Team has transformed my inner relationship and has manifested into a beautiful journey of love and friendship with the team. Vera has been patient in coaching us and it means the world.Vedanza will always have a special place in my heart. read more

I like this place a lot. They're really good at teaching and super fun to learn from.

I cannot recommend Vera enough for her ability to teach dance with her background in ballet and understanding of human anatomy to help make movements natural and beautiful. She is totally attentive to her students and I hope to attend more of her ladies choreography classes in the future. Veranza is a gem for north county providing opportunities for single and partner dancing. Instructor Amy was equally helpful and awesome at teaching. Easy parking bathroom on site you will not regret taking classes here! read more

My partner stubbled across Vedanza in early 2019 when we started to look for formal Salsa and Bachata dance lessons. What begin as a simple class has turned into a dance adventure with Vedanza bringing Salsa and Bachata socials into the North San Diego County community. Vedanza is more than a company, it's a dance family. Vera is an absolute expert and I've learned allot from Christian and Mario. Everyone is extremely helpful and willing to give advice. Thank you Vedanza family read more

I never felt more scammed by a company in my life. Marisol was rude and extremely misleading. She took advantage of my kindness without remorse. I would like the opportunity to share my story and experience so it does not happen to anyone else. You will not get far or not for long if you treat supporters like they are worthless read more

I am so grateful for Vera. My now husband and I were looking to do a surprise Bachata dance at our wedding and decided to go with Vera. She honestly made a miracle happen since we only had two weeks to practice and we are not dancers. She had so much patience with us and we are honestly thinking about going back and joining her classes. I would total recommend VeDanza if you are looking to take some dance classes! read more

This is a wonderful dance school. They teach Latin and movement. They have classes, teams, privates and (before Covid) parties. Vera is super fun and funny and so talented at breaking down moves. She makes everyone feel welcome. Mario is so patient and terrific at breaking down moves. Christian is so good at fancy footwork and giving everyone a challenge. The music is excellent. And the community is super friendly and supportive. An amazing place! read more

VeDanza is the best dance company in all of San Diego. When I moved back to the U.S. from Europe I knew I wanted to learn how to dance Salsa & Bachata. I went to several different studios around the San Diego area but Vera (the director) is by far the best instructor for me. She is very patient, her teaching techniques are easy to understand, and the learning environment is so friendly. She really cares about her students and makes you feel like you have a dancing family. Whether you're brand new or an experienced dancer VeDanza is for you :) read more

They are very professional, they teach you step by step if you never danced before and ready to learn thus is the place to go to , I enjoyed my lesson! Thank you read more

Vera and Panda are amazing instructors!!! Classes are a lot of fun and the routines are challenging. The routines are taught very well with a step by step breakdown. I always leave practice with a great understanding of the routine (steps) and apply them to when I go out social dancing. I have always had a passion for dancing more specifically Bachata and Salsa. However, I barely knew the basics and found myself mostly standing on the side of the dance floor watching everyone else have fun. This all changed after doing a little research about 1yrs ago and came across VeDanza Dance Company!! I now no longer stand on the side of the dance floor!! I highly recommend VeDanza Dance Company to anyone that is just starting out and/or already has a high dance skill level. read more

I was lucky to stumble onto Vedanza. Following my wife's passing a therapist recommended me to Balboa park dances to join a social club as a way to get back out into society. From there I ended up at a salsa/bachata dance social and enjoyed what I was witnessing. I wanted to learn to join in the fun. Someone I met there recommended Vedanza and I attended a class. It was great. The people were so nice and the lessons are lot of fun. There are always partners there for one that is alone to dance with during class. The prices are reasonable and the people are always great to be around. They have paths for one to advance there lessons and during non pandemic times there are salsa/bachata dance socials every week in different areas in san diego north and south county. If you are interested in learning or improving your salsa and or bachata skills I highly recommend Vedanza. read more

Classes at VeDanza are great! The instructors are knowledgeable and friendly and your learn the basic steps and move on to the next level in no time! I started with salsa and bachata as a beginner and I'm now in the more advanced classes and I'm loving it! I especially love the dance socials organized by VeDanza at the studios or local restaurants and club where I can show off my new skills!! read more

We went to five different dance studios all around the San Diego area in search of a great place to take salsa and bachata classes. Without a doubt, VeDanza classes are the best. Vera is an extremely personable and talented instructor. She explains things in a way you can understand. The other students are really friendly and welcoming to newcomers (no bad attitudes). Everyone has fun!!! The classes have a quick pace (so they are not boring which is often the case with other studios). You learn great moves you can use in social dancing around town. As well, Vedanza sponsors monthly salsa/bachata socials that are really well attended. So you can use everything you've just learned. If you want to learn professional dance moves, VeDanza also offers those classes, although my interest is more related to social dancing. Either way, I highly recommend this dance studio!!!!!! read more

Vera (director) has boundless energy and passion for dance. She is not only a technical expert in Latin Dance, but she has the ability to convey this technique and passion into "step by step" instruction. Her enthusiasm is contagious. She will have you dancing with confidence in no time. Check out her website, www.vedanza.com, for more info. read more

The instructor Vera is awesome, she's an incredible dancer and a great person. The classes are fun and you pick up the dancing fast. Some other instructors go extreeeemeeeelly slooooooow. Vedanza has a good pace, you'll be dancing a routine in less than an hour. Just memorize those steps and then learn maybe one other routine and you can go out on the dance floor confidently. It's great. There are other places that have a very stuck up attitude but Vedanza is awesome, everybody is nice and enjoys themselves. It's a good look if you want to learn how to dance, and you should. read more
