A friend sent me an invite to attend a Zumba class here. The studio is in a strip mall, with plenty of parking available. The class is large, at least for me. It is very clean, and although it was decorated with Halloween decor you could see the room is orderly. Front desk was very friendly. As I signed in they handed me a card, it turned out to be a Thank You card, thanking me for attending. The instructors were absolutely fantastic and friendly. They were full of energy for the 90 mins. Even the class was rev'ed up! I was getting energy from the class and the instructors, I think that's what pulled me through this class. I throughly enjoyed todays Zumba class and hope to do more in the future. read more

Club Jennifit is a Dance Studio that recently opened in May 2016 in Oceanside, CA. I made it to Club Jennifit as part of a special Zumba Master Class following my favorite Zumba Jammer instructor. I'm a really big fan of Zumba! It's a great way to get some exercise without feeling like a gym rat. Club Jennifit is owned by Jennifer Shelby (jennifershelby.zumba.com). As of July 2016, I've been to a few Zumba Master Classes for Jennifer Shelby co-teaching with other Zumba instructors. She has great energy and is really passionate. (I've also seen her lose a lot of weight too over the two years!) I just don't make it up to North County San Diego as much as I would like since I live further south in San Diego. One of local photographers, Karla Ranger Trujillo, in the area created a short video interview with Jennifer Shelby (youtube.com/watch?v=P0q_DUlfRhk). "What? I can't pop my booty like that!" is what I thought my first class. Then I noticed an older Asian lady toward the front left side of the class...twerking. I figured, if she can do it, I can. I have learned that even if I don't do the dances right, the whole point of zumba is to just keep moving. She makes it so fun! I have been following this instructor since she held classes at a boxing gym in Vista. Her current classes are held at the Brickhouse Cardio studio, near the Thai place, Mr. Pho, donut shop, etc. It's 7$ for an hour, down a few bucks from last year. Check her Facebook for class days, and the times are usually 10 am and 7pm. Pros: - energetic, upbeat - for all ages/ fitness levels - drop ins welcome - lots of parking - restroom Cons: - studio a bit small - classes get crowded read more

This place is BOMB. Jennifer is the best instructor I have ever had! She is so sweet with new people and makes you feel very comfortable in her classes. You would not regret coming to one of her amazing classes. read more

Jenn's classes are fabulous! I discovered Club Jennifit a few weeks ago after moving to Oceanside from Northern California. And I could not be happier! I've been doing Zumba for 10 years with lots of different instructors, and she is by far one of the best instructors with whom I've had the pleasure to dance. She has great moves, and great music and routines, which she mixes up so everyone is always engaged. She also breaks down the moves so everyone can follow along. Equally as important, she has created a warm, inviting community where no one is judged and all ages feel welcome. She embodies the true spirit of zumba, in that she makes every class so much fun that it really does not feel like a workout. But trust me, it is! Ruth F. read more

(I've been going to Club Jennifit since it opened in April/May 2016- I've never seen "Aaron D." at any of the classes- makes sense seeing as how he's from Temecula area & not Oceanside- makes me question the validity of any of his reviews) -- The entire staff @ Club Jennifit has a very energetic & uplifting feeling about it! While the instructors do more than just teach (they're all involved with local charity groups & give back to society by volunteering, donations and drives), it's the smiles that greet me at every class that keeps me coming back. Plenty of parking &it's a terrific studio. It sounds great, there's plenty of room and dang it- I learned me some dance moves!! They're right next to Kahoots and the staff in there is pretty darn friendly, too (-a review for another time!) Most importantly, Club Jennifit is Inspiring. It's owned and operated by a military veteran family (combat-wounded). Taking the time to inspire others, when you're in need inspiration of your own, speaks volumes. They taught me to persevere & I dropped a lot of weight because of it. So if you want to give it a legit try, visit the club and take a class. I think the first one is free! Club Jennifit is also on Facebook (more reviews on their page). read more

Jennifer Shelby is an amazing Zumba instructor who has taken her passion for dance fitness to the next level, her own club! She presently has many classes to choose from and is pretty affordable when you consider other places' drop in rates! Jennifer's love of Zumba is only matched by her desire to help others. She is supportive, encouraging and without a doubt one of the best. I've been taking her classes for over 3 years. Give her a chance, you won't regret it! read more

I have been to a few zumba classes at this studio and I am very pleased with what they have to offer. The prices are great and I love the options that are made available. You can do either drop-in classes or get a punch card. That really works for me and probably will for others as well who dont necessarily attend often enough to need a full blown membership to a gym. The space itself is more than enough room for a decent sized class and the music system along with the music selection both sound great! The classes themselves are super fun and Jennifer, the owner/main instructor, is always so full of good energy and positivity that is contagious throughout the class. This is, in my opinion, a key component in a good zumba instructor. Although it is a fairly new establishment in the area, they have quickly begun adding new/various options for classes; this includes classes like hip-hop/yoga/etc. I really enjoyed myself and plan on continuing to attend classes in the future. read more

When I first came in I was overwhelmed with all the decor... is this place fo real? Yes it was! The class was full but I had plenty of room and plenty of fun. Jennifer kept me moving and motivated the whole long class. She really has a talent for working you out while keeping a smile on your face. I can't wait to go back! Only thing that I would like to see is a bit more direction when you walk in the door. I wasn't quite sure what to do. I'm hoping to continue with classes as it was so fun and I was so sore the today... in a good way. read more

This facility is super cute and clean :) I recently took a certificate training here all day and I was impressed. First, they offered wifi so I could take notes on my iPad and the bathrooms were super clean. I loved the Stage for a great instructor visual & the floors are beautiful. Plus the MUSIC sound system is amazing! Have fun in class.. You won't be disappointed! I would highly recommend this location! Check it out! read more

There is a Love Affair going on at Club Jennifit. Even if you're only there for a few minutes you begin to feel the Love immediately. First of all there's the Lovely Jennifer, our fearless owner, instructor, mentor, Goddess. She is dedicated to giving the biggest smile, guidance and support, everyday to all that come. Then there's Zumba! And the fantastic instructors that share their exuberance for fitness. Next is an amazing group of enthusiastic dancers/students; men and women from young to mature, in all fitness levels and stages ready to do their best and spur us on as well. This three ring circus stirs up a lot of fun, excitement and transformation. Enjoying where we go to workout and having knowledgeable support at an affordable price are key factors in solidifying consistent exercise into our daily routine. Increasing our core fitness can be quite a challenge. I've always had a hard time getting enough cardio in, with a balance of strength and yoga. Sometimes these factors can come in disguise... like going to the "Club", whooping it up to great music, checking in with friends and getting Fit at the same time. What's not to Love. read more

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Jennifer and the energy she brings with the Zumba classes she teaches. With every class Jennifer always greets everyone with a warm smile and makes sure to talk to as many people as she can before class, you can tell she's genuinely happy to be teaching and every class is so fun because she makes sure to mix up her songs so that you don't get bored. Her pricing is some of the lowest that I've found and I will follow her anywhere she teaches, if you're looking for a fun Zumba class that will help you burn calories and leave you smiling at the end you need to come to one of Club Jennifit's classes. read more

This Zumba class is like no other. Jennifer has amazing energy, she breaks it down so it's easy to follow (even with my lack of coordination;) I have noticed such a difference in my body since coming to her classes. It is a judgement free zone and she makes you feel comfortable from the minute you walk in the door. This class is so much fun it doesn't feel like a workout! read more

This place is like a Fit family! The instructor Jennifer has the best energy and the choreography is always on point!

I have been following Mrs Shelby for over 4 years now and I'm so happy she has her own studio. Her Zumba Fitness has changed lives and mine all by her dedication and efforts for successful weight loss. Taking her classes alone I have lost 84 pounds and counting. The classes are high energy and her new toning and extra classes are amazing as well. I recommend this place if you struggle with weight loss, eager to seek change in your body, and want to have a great time. Club Jennifit is amazing....and will change your body and life all at once....give it a try. read more

I had taken several Zumba classes before finding my home. The previous instructors seemed, only interested in themselves or their "regular students". Before Jennifer's classes I had felt like an awkward outsider and like everyone knew what was going on but me, I was bit wary walking into class that first day. She (and her students) greeted me with big smiles and the whole class welcomed and applauded the courage it took for me to come out for the first time. I had a blast that day, and even though I wasn't getting everything perfect, she and the other students were encouraging and kind. I knew I would be back. Anyone can teach a fitness class, the difference between average instructors and Jennifer is her incredible passion, enthusiasm and heartfelt belief in what she does. She not only gets people moving but injects them with a massive dose of positive energy. Jennifer knows how to break it down for the beginners and work it to the next level for the more experienced. A most compassionate woman, Jennifer teaches her own classes, sometimes twice daily, and is also a driving force in our community, headlining several fundraising events in her spare time! She has taught Zumba to raise money for the San Diego Food Bank and the Boys and Girls Club of Oceanside, injecting all attendees with her infectious joy and boundless energy. If you have never done Zumba, or even if you are an expert, Jennifer's your girl. She adds so much joy to my life; and she makes the world a better place to live! You rock Jen!!! read more
