Neither of us had any dance experience besides dropping it low at the club back in the day ( elder millennials ) so this was nerve wracking for us at first. We found McCann dance via another yelp review and booked the intro lesson on a whim. We ended up with Elisa McCann who happens to be an INCREDIBLE professional dancer and a fantastic teacher!! We had 7 weeks to get a dance locked in. Well, that we did. We met with her once a week up until our wedding and she customized choreography for us, pushed us out of our comfort zone just enough to WOW the crowd, but made sure the moves were things we were physically capable of doing. Every week we showed up to our lesson happy to share that we'd been practicing. I want to shout from the rooftop that this studio is incredible and I LOVED our custom wedding dance!!! Do it. Do it. Do it. Seriously, if you're debating doing it. DO IT!!!! Best decision ever!!!!

He made us feel comfortable right away and broke everything down in a way that made learning easy and fun. Kage really took the time to make sure the dance fit us as a couple and helped build our confidence so we could enjoy the moment on our wedding day. My now husband and I walked in with big dreams for our first dance... and very questionable coordination. We had enthusiasm, an idea for a song we loved, and approximately zero idea what to do with our feet. Somehow, our Kaylin and Kage turned us into a couple who didn't just shuffle side to side--we actually danced. Like, spins! Timing! Moments where we looked at each other and thought, "Wait... was that us?!" What made it so special wasn't just the final dance (which felt like pure magic on the day of), but everything leading up to it. Those lessons became time we carved out just for the two of us during the chaos of wedding planning. We laughed a lot, occasionally got tangled up, and somehow left every lesson feeling more confident--not just on the dance floor, but as a team. The Kaylin and Kage have this incredible way of making you feel comfortable, even when you're convinced you have two left feet. They celebrate every little win and somehow turn mistakes into part of the fun. By the time our wedding came around, we weren't nervous--we were actually excited to dance in front of everyone (which is not something I ever thought I'd say). Dance FX San Marcos & Vista…read more Our family has had a positive experience taking classes and participating on the competition team at Dance FX. Our children have been dancing for about 8 years and have taken classes from many local North County dance studios. We travel out of our way for the quality technique instruction from their staff. The studios are clean and maintained. They have viewing windows into the studios and live video feeds on the lobby tvs to watch the classes. The office manager, Ms Olivia, is welcoming and answers questions promptly. Ms Brenda and Mr Anthony run the competition team there. Their communication and scheduling is clear and that is important to parents when planning competitions, travel and family schedules. Their dancers advance and join High School Dance Teams at San Marcos, Mission Vista, Vista, Rancho Buena Vista, Mission Hills, El Camino, Carlsbad, San Pasqual and Classical Academy High School to name a few. We are grateful to Mr Anthony for his dedication to the children and their dance education. He has worked with local families who were abandoned by another local studio to help them re-register for competitions, offer his studio for rehearsals, and provide support to parents who need guidance in the dance competition world.
