Smokehouse potatoe.
Kim F.

Compared to North Charleston location, this one was definitely better with the service and clean dining area and size of my potato. I got the smokehouse. It was large looked good. Unfortunately some of the ingredients was barely warm in temperature mixed with some hot. The Mac and cheese in it was mushy, overcooked and lukewarm. Where the potato was hot. The pulled pork was less than warm and slightly dry. We took it to go so we microwaved it. If everything was hot and not overcooked maybe it would have been awesome. We literally live five minutes away. The loaded nachos was small for the price. Would I go back sorry no. Not for what we paid. But if my friends wanted to do a meet up there I would go because it wasn't awful but not great. Maybe because mine was to go.

Southwest chicken salad
James H.

Staff friendly and patient. I ordered southwest chicken salad. Couldn't find a table outside because they were all dirty and so were most of the ones I checked inside. Before I ate I washed my hands and noticed the bathroom needed to be cleaned. I cleaned a table off and the chair, had a seat and enjoyed my salad. Nice portion for value. While eating I noticed the floor needed to be swept and mopped and the windows were filthy. The salad was very delicious. I'll give the food Five Stars and the rest of my experience Two Stars. Sorry guys.

Turkey sandwich on the go.

I haven't been to McAlister's in years. A coworker gave me a gift card for the holidays and it definitely came in handy today. Service was slow. There were 4 people behind the counter, but only one was taking orders. I was third in line, but waited over 10 minutes to place my order. Another cashier came from the back and helped with orders. She was friendly and brought my food out to me in no time. I ordered a turkey sandwich to go and ate it while driving home. It was neatly prepared and the ingredients didn't fall out or create a mess. The sandwich hit the spot. Just the right amount of everything and very filling.

Grilled Chicken Caesar Wrap and fruit

We had to make a pit stop here because my daughter was starving. We\+/didn't wait long to order our food or receive our fo\d. Several tables were dirty so it was hard to find a clean table but we did end up finding one. The bathroom here is also a little dirty. We got a chicken caesar wrap with fruit and a kids mac and cheese with fruit. Both tasted ok. Nothing great to rave about but it did keep my child calm which I was happy about. The wrap was less than filling. Not a lot of meat in it. The mac and cheese was ok and was lukewarm.

Pick 2 garden salad and Turkey avocado on croissant

I don't normally go to McAlister's but I was given a gift card do I checked them out. The wait in line to order wasn't bad. Probably took less than ten minutes for them to bring my food out. I sat outside because it was a gorgeous day outside. I ordered Pick 2...half a Turkey avocado sandwich and I had them put on croissant. Sandwich was really good. I didn't expect it to be hot but I was glad it was...cheese melted perfectly. Then I also got half a garden salad with raspberry vinaigrette. The salad was the freshest I've had from anywhere in awhile. It was a good mixture of greens, tomatoes, cucumbers, cheese, etc. I'll be back again.

Kids Auntie Annes Mini Pretzel Dogs
Victoria G.

A little wary from seeing the reviews but we needed a quick place to grab lunch while out running errands. Food came out fast and service was efficient and overall was a decent price for a lunch option in town. The tables were all a little dirty and could really use being wiped down after the lunch rush. I really enjoyed the country potato soup. The French dip was a little bland but not bad. My kiddo loves the pretzel dogs and Mac and cheese. We both loved the sweet tea which we agreed was excellent!

Italian and chili!
Victoria A.

I have never been to this location before, but I was Christmas shopping and needed something to eat. I went in and was the only one in line(I beat the lunch rush). I ordered a half and half, an Italian sandwich and a brown of chili. I sit down by the window and wait for my food. As I'm waiting a line formed and more people came in. Super lucky I came when I did! The food came out fast. I tried the chili first because I was cold. It was sooooo good. I ate it up quick. Then I tried the sandwich, and I had the same feeling. It was delicious! It had banana peppers, salami and other stuff (I forget?). The bread was toasty and it was delicious. It was the perfect size as well. I wasn't over full and I wasn't still hungry. When I'm back at this location again I sure will come back.

Choose 2 (half and half): Savannah Chopped Salad + French Dip
Sarah M.

Not going to lie, I was initially a little wary of the reviews but my experience turned out to be better than expected! This is a very spacious and clean restaurant, with plenty of indoor and outdoor seating. The kind lady that was taking my order was fun to talk to. My friend was offered a sample because she initially didn't know what to get. Overall generous and outgoing! I ordered the Savannah Chopped Salad and French Dip (the choose 2 option). Savannah Chopped Salad: I was worried that it was going to be a very sweet salad, but it was not that bad. I wished there was more lettuce in my salad. But the all the toppings, especially the sherry shallot dressing, went well together. French Dip - Overall, I enjoyed eating this sandwich with the au jus. Although the taste was good, it didn't really look that appetizing because the meat stuck together in a clump and not really spread out nicely.

McAlister's Club but toasted and add spicy mustard!
Kenishia W.

I had to give a 4 star because the z sandwich Was amazing I mean top Tier!!!!!!!!! But the soup was really loose i barely had any potatoes or bacon or cheese in the country potato soup that was the only downside to the meal but the sandwich was 10/10 I would go back!

I ordered a simple baked potato and it was over baked and burnt! How do you mess up a baked potato?

The food is genuinely good and delivers that nostalgic diner-style comfort that keeps people coming back. The #4 burger special (burger, fries, drink, and ice cream) is a great value and very satisfying. The burger is juicy, well-seasoned, and cooked just right, with a soft bun that holds everything together without falling apart. The fries are hot, crispy on the outside, and fluffy on the inside--simple, classic, and done well. Ending the meal with ice cream feels like a throwback treat and is the perfect sweet finish. Paired with a cold drink, the whole special feels filling and well thought out. The chef salad with fried chicken was another pleasant surprise. The salad was fresh and generously portioned, with crisp lettuce and well-balanced toppings. The fried chicken on top was the highlight--crispy, flavorful, and clearly made with care, adding real substance to the dish rather than feeling like an afterthought. Where things get a bit challenging is the service and overall flow. Ye Ole Fashioned stays busy, and the constant stream of customers combined with limited staff can make ordering feel chaotic. There doesn't seem to be a single, clear system--orders are taken by whoever is available at the moment. While the system does work and food comes out correctly, it can feel confusing and frustrating at times, especially for first-time visitors. The staff works hard, but the rush can make the experience feel hectic rather than smooth. The ambiance matches the old-fashioned charm of the place--simple, no-frills, and very much about the food rather than polish. Once you understand how things operate, it's easier to relax and enjoy the experience.

Local bar with some really good burgers at a very fair price! Came here with the kids... "burger…read morepub" always gets them. They both had the Cheesy Burchy Burger and fries and I had the Deluxe Burchy Burger with onion rings. We split fried pickles and I had some hot wings. Server was friendly and food came out fast, which I appreciated because we were all pretty hungry. Fries were slightly underdone which is fine and needed salt but that was easy to fix with the shaker in the table. Burgers are a 1/4 lb smash style and were really good. Super crispy and tons of flavor. A+ on the burgers. Onion rings were fine, and I really liked my wings, crispy and the hot sauce was just right. We all agreed that the pickle chips were good. Kids liked their burgers as well. Note that the burger prices don't include a side, but $6 for a good burger is a Burger King or Wendy's price and for a local place, that's a great value. I'll take a Burchy Burger over a franchise mystery patty any day. J.Ja
