Horrible service. Staff doesn't acknowledge the customer nor speak. We were there 10-15 minutes and no one was in line. The girl up front was bagging orders and didn't help us. I had not been to this location in years. Drive by and decided to go in. I'm so glad I did. The food was good, I had the Memphian. But what made the trip worthwhile was the service. The staff could not have been nicer, or more professional. Great diverse crew of mainly young people that were so nice and working so well together I had to review this trip. Decent food, but the price and what's offered has always been a bad deal. In 2023 it's downright unsustainable. I got a spoonful of potato Salad with my $16 meal. We used to LOVE Mcallister's takeout but the last few times we have ordered, it's been a disappointment. I can't get food from the Airport McAlister's anymore. They always manage to leave out both requested additions and regular ingredients listed in the menu. And the store doesn't care about more serious issues. In July, I found a rather large insect crawling through a salad that I received from McAlister's. Updated to add: Reordered tonight and had it delivered. I had to wait extra time for delivery, which I totally get, I mean weird times! It was cold when it got to my house, again I get it- no problem reheating it! What I'm frustrated about is that they cancelled my son's baked potato and replaced it with broccoli soup (which he will not touch with a 10ft pole) because they did not have a number to contact me. So I ran it back up to the store and they did not try to rectify the situation? Also my soup had meat in it? I have worked in many fast food restaurants and, I personally would have handled it differently. Just highly displeased this go round. Super bummed because I have been surviving on this place. Great place to grab a quick lunch. The Chicken tortilla soup is great for a yuck rainy Mobile day. It's one of my favorites. I usually order it as a Choose 2 and get a Cheesy Spud. Yum! Don't forget to get a chocolate chip cookie! This time the Rotel cheese dip tasted a little off. Came here for lunch today after visiting a friend at the hospital. We both ordered half soup and half sandwich. I was pretty particular as to how I wanted my sandwich made...IE, no tomato, no mayo, regular mustard. They got it spot on. The half sanwhich was a little light on the meat....but that's not uncommon for every place that does a half and half deal. We both enjoyed the soups and sandwiches. The bread was fresh and crispy. Not sure why this location has such bad reviews. We didn't have any issues whatsoever. read more

I just want to say I typically love McAlisters, but this one was more on the disappointing side. We came on a Sunday afternoon with maybe three other families in the restaurant. We ended up waitIng on our food for 20 minutes which is a little excessive given the soup is already made and I ordered a club sandwich and my boyfriend ordered the Italian sandwich and fruit. Also, they were a little skimpy on the meat on the club compared to other locations. Also, their fruit bowl was 80% melon, which was disappointing seeing how my boyfriend doesn't like melon and he asked the worker at the counter what it consisted of and melon was not listed. read more

Food was great, but the manager seemed to have some kind of high self image, we came in today to eat, and all we could hear was the General manager yelling at another employee. The cashiers face kind of seemed like she was use to it. Absolutely uncalled for, and unprofessional of the Manager. All we could hear clearly was this women being her GM, and threatening to send this employee home, due to employee not speaking directly to the GM. Went today to grab a quick lunch between meetings at work. What should have taken 15-20 minutes max, actually took 45 minutes from ordering my food to it being ready. This is ridiculous. They were not short staffed. They actually had 3 workers either taking break or just standing there staring at people as they walked in and the line got longer and longer. McAllister's used to be one of my favorite quick places to go, but it's definitely not that way any more. VERY DISAPPOINTING!!! Would NOT recommend going to this location. read more

Yesterday I went to buy a couple sandwiches Strawberries shortcake and fire roasted Vegetables. The sandwich is turned out OK. McAlister's Deli is a great place to go on Airport Boulevard if you are looking for a quick lunch or dinner. They offer nachos, fresh salads, sandwiches, spuds, and delicious cookies and other treats. Their iced tea is my favorite drink and they even can add raspberry to your tea. read more

Tonight I had McAlister's to go while I washed my comforter and blankets at a near by laundromat. I got the southwest turkey melt with Mac and cheese and mom got the smokey pepper jack turkey with potato salad. I visited this establishment on a Sunday and should have known something was wrong because the place was practically empty. I was with someone and I ordered the Grilled Chicken Cesar wrap with Chili and my date order a Ham and Cheese sandwich with Loaded Baked Potato. My Chili had no beans and tasted like it was days old while my wrap had more lettuce than chicken. My date's potato was still cold in the center. For the price of the meal we should that gone to Panera's. This was my first and last visit. read more

I take the time to type out special instructions in the space allotted- no one reads them. I make modifications to my order, in the space allotted- no one cares. Now, I am sitting here staring at food I don't want because it's not prepared as I ordered it. Not just one food item- two. So, I cannot push the other box to the side and enjoy my other dish because they are both jacked up. I'm convinced that no matter how many times I try to give this restaurant a chance to be everything I know they can be- nothing will ever change. I just left McAllisters on Airport Blvd. across from Providence Hospital. I placed an order for a Grilled Chicken Club. I requested the sandwich on white toast. I also showed a picture of the sandwich to McAllister employees involved with the preparation of food asking would my sandwich look like this? I was told yes! I even got more specific and asked would it also be cut like the sandwich on the picture? Again I was told yes. I got my order checked before leaving and to my surprise I was TOTALLY DIFFERENT from the MENU picture on MCALLISTERS SITE! Naturally I explained this is not what I previously ordered! An employee hurried to tell me when you change the BREAD type the sandwich is prepared DIFFERENT . I guess I should have automatically known this . I asked for whom ever was incharge. A young person came from the back to apologize and asked how did I place my order?? I'm still trying to figure out what difference it makes how my order was placed . I proceeded to state I ‍ walked in the door up to the counter and placed my order. Naturally the blame went to the person that took my order of course. I wanted to know why the employee was so RUDE to me when I began to explain that I asked questions, showed a picture to not have this problem!! Still I was being spoken to as if all this was MY FAULT! Even when the Manager got involved it was to no avail. The Manager didn't really seem sincere with the apology. The RUDE employee continued to be Miffed as though I should have taken the sandwich the way they prepared it wrong right or I different. Shut up about it and be happy! Now keep in mind I paid for this sandwich, two extra sides and something to drink. By the way something to drink is well you know how much something to drink is. Eventhough I said no ice because I wanted something to drink I got PLENTY of ?? You guessed it ICE!! Anyway MCALLISTERS don't give the customer a hard time, don't get RUDE just because the customer wants the sandwich slightly different from the MENU and you agree to prepare as such! Honor the order and be nice to the customer! I don't think that's asking too much, do you?? Oh yeah when I got my remade sandwich I didn't get my sides! Surprise, Surprise! I asked for my sides. I purchased two extra sides. I requested my sides the Manager asked for my RECEIPT! Really? So now I'm trying to get free sides?? Give me a break!! It's kind of hit-or-miss with this McAlister's. Sometimes you'll get your order filled perfectly and other times, you're lucky to walk out of there with even half the food you ordered. I usually wouldn't complain because I tend to go there during lunch rush. It's not surprising for the pickle to not be included with my sandwich when there is a huge rush of people. No big deal. But today I got a sandwich with RAW BACON on it. Seriously, I don't care how busy you are - there is no excuse for that kind of error (especially when the deli is damn near empty and employees in the kitchen aren't being rushed). I don't want to warn people off of McAlister's because they usually serve affordable, tasty food that I would definitely recommend to friends and family. But I will suggest that, should you choose to eat here, you check your food to make sure everything looks right and make sure your order is complete before walking out the door. They are really good about fixing something like a forgotten bag of chips or side salad. Beware the raw bacon, though. read more
