I came back to this McAlister's location because I had a better experience here than at an another on, but unfortunately this visit was disappointing. I ordered it online . I went out of my way to drive to this location . At the time , I was near the one in Hiram . But I kept thinking about how great the first salad was . Unlike the first time , the portion was very small, and the balance of ingredients was off . I ordered the Southwest Chicken Avocado salad . It was mostly chicken slices and lettuce ,with hardly any roasted corn, avocado or poblano, and no black beans at all . There was very little onion , and even the lettuce was sparse . For $12.00, this was not the quality I expected, especially compared to the past visit . If I hadn't received the first salad , which was absolutely amazing, I wouldn't have known the difference . Chain restaurants should have consistent menu preparation. Make it the same every time!! I could've walked inside of Publix grocery store and got a ready made $8.00 salad for what I received . McAlister's is known for fresh salads . I took the time to order and paid online , only to pull up to the drive through to be immensely disappointed. I put my car into drive and pondered whether I should go inside and ask for a refund . My heart was set on a McAlister's fresh salad . I didn't feel like going some place else . The plan was to grab a fresh salad , head home, eat dinner and relax for the evening. I really hate to leave a negative review, but this time it just didn't measure up . read more

I love this place. The building that they are in is fairly new. New construction. It was built in the parking lot of Butler Creek Plaza. I had never heard of McAlister's Deli but a neighbor told me that they had really good sandwiches, so I stopped in. He's right. They are good. The first sandwich that I had there was their Horseradish Roast Beef & Cheddar - excellent. I went back and had that a few times with potato salad as my side. I was gonna go by again and I checked their menu online because I don't want to stand in line and peruse the menu too long and make people behind me wait. I noticed that they have "spuds" - baked potatoes. Mmmmmm... They are so big and covered in toppings. My fav so far is the Spud Max: topped with ham, turkey, bacon, cheddar-jack cheese, green onions, black olives and sour cream. So good! And it's so big I usually have it for dinner and again for lunch the next day. So far parking is easy and the staff is friendly and fun. Thanks McAlister's! I'll see you again soon. read more

This was my first time at McAlister's and this location was a great start. This location was extremely clean, including the bathroom. That is a plus for me! The staff was welcoming and cheerful. I was unsure about the broccoli and cheese soup so the cashier gave me a sample. I definitely recommend it! It was delicious. I ordered a turkey sandwich with broccoli and cheese soup. Pretty good. Expensive. It's a fast casual place; you place your order at the counter; they give you a numbered card; you put that card on a stand at your table; they bring your food out to you. Portion sizes are okay. Not small, not huge. I didn't feel stuffed when I was done, but it was enough. Food is good. It didn't blow me away, but it was good. Service is pretty good. They give refills on drinks if you're willing to wait to get them, but it's not usually worth the wait, since there's usually quite a line, especially at peak meal times. The workers have been friendly enough when I was there. So it's pretty good, but I wouldn't encourage anybody to go out of their way to get it. read more

I've been to this location several times since they've been open and the service has overall been good. This was my second visit - first in May. Good food on both occasions - Good French Dip & ok steamed broccoli for a healthier option. Here's the problem - took young grandson in restroom before ordering. He got last bit of soap so I told staff it needed refilling. Waited about 10 minutes for another member of our party to arrive and then I went back to rest room after ordering. Still took 20 pumps on the soap dispenser to get 3 drops of soap so am not sure if it was broken or still empty. Also the trash can was overflowing there in the men's room. I have left restaurants for lack of soap because, hey, cooks and servers are likely not washing either. That's a problem. I stayed tonight after rationalizing that it had "just run out" and because there were others in the party but I'm giving 2-strikes for this inattentiveness. read more

I love McAllisters, they usually do a great. This location in Acworth GA, I will never go back. We walk in, the line was to the door. They were using only one register, the girls behind the counter were goofing off while people were waiting to order. There were 8 tables that the people had left and haven't been cleaned. We left and went to another restaurant. This is one of the reasons this location is only 3 stars. read more

I set it up as an "In-Store" pickup but when I arrived, it still wasn't ready. I asked about my order and was told it was still being prepared. 10 minutes later I asked again and found out it was in the Drive-Thru area waiting. I just gave McAlisters in Acworth a second try. Again , sadly they failed to provide An edible meal. This time I ordered A Caesar salad and added the chicken. I requested at the time of ordering that I Wanted the dressing on the side. Needless to say it was not served with the dressing on the side. Instead it was Saturated in dressing and the lettuce Was limp and disgusting. Where is the manager In supervising the staff and walking Around asking customers how the food is? I like the sandwhiches and the soup, but every time I order pickles I NEVER SEEM TO GET THEM! I had ordered for food for my family on our way back from vacation, never got my pickles. When I called the business, I told the girl who answered what happened and she just said,"ok". I said, "so am I going to get my money back, new pickels, like what is going to happen here?" Decided to get away from work for a deli sandwich and know we went after 12p. It took 10 minutes to actually place an order as there was a line, but the front counter staff didn't seem to be moving quickly. Also, both registers needed paper at the same time... this happens though. After 10 minutes to place the order we expected to wait maybe 20 mins for the sandwiches. We ordered at 12:32p and didn't get the sandwiches until 1:11p - nearly 40 mins for 2 sandwiches! We went to the counter to check around 25 mins after the order, and the front counter staff couldn't be bothered and he simply said "I don't know when your sandwiches will be ready". We grabbed the runner to check and then the front counter guy came over about 5 minutes later and asked what sandwiches we had and I handed him the receipt. There was apparently a mix up in the back and I think they actually skipped over the order. Was definitely a bit surprised to get two sandwiches after 39 minutes and not have the manager come out and apologize. When the front counter guy delivered the sandwiches he just said "I don't know what happened." Unfortunately the wait wasn't worth the meal. The French Dip was quite bland even with heavy dipping in the au jus. The Horseradish Roast Beef & Cheddar's bread was perhaps underdone as the bread kept sticking to the roof of the mouth. Between not getting the order, the lack of service from the front counter and the lack of quality of food, we will be heading elsewhere to a non-chain restaurant for deli sandwiches in the future. read more

We've been excited about this location opening up for some time. As fundamentally McAlister's makes a good product. Sadly like every other McAlister's...our order was "forgotten" and somehow lost in the cue. Which seems to fundamentally happen often with you guys at all locations. I get it weird times but Jesus....the employee base appears incompetent. We watched 16 families who came after us order and get there food before us. And we receive are food cold?! That's a bit messed up. If we are forgotten at least make sure the food is fresh. You guys are new...but get this stuff figured out. Attention to detail...clearly lacking. read more

Ordered the Pepper-jack Turkey on Ciabatta bread. Received very little bacon with no pepper-Jack cheese and no honey mustard on my sandwich. My husband's sandwich (the New Yorker had a lot of meat piled on) and tasted great! I won't return to this restaurant. This place is overpriced for sandwiches. Overall it was a ok experience. Menu board lacks clarity with so many items on it. I would probably recommend reading the menu online prior to visiting in-store. Service was friendly and prompt but lacked any type of enthusiasm. Food was mediocre at best. Prices are high when compared to the multiple delis available on Barrett Pkwy. I will return when in the neighborhood and try other menu items. Definitely worth a try if you haven't eaten here in the past. read more

After being contacted by the Regional Manager, I decided to give this McAlister's a second try. I went today for lunch and what a difference. The staff was very present. No one was waiting in line to order when I arrived. I ordered a club sandwich and mac & cheese for side. I was handed an order number card to display at my table and in 5 minutes, my freshly made sandwich and side arrived with a smile. As I ate my lunch, the line built up to maybe 5 customers waiting to order but they opened a 2nd register and quickly handled the hungry customers. I'm glad I gave this location a second try and will return for lunch again. On a side note: I thought it was very professional for the regional manager to call me after I logged my original compliant. we went for a lunch on Sunday and it was terrible ordered soup and there was a hair in it ask for the manager and he proceeded to say it wasn't the cooks in the back, they wear a hair net. but it was the front office staff. they are not required to wear a hair net. don't apologize, throw the blame somewhere else. he asked if we wanted replacement soups and we agreed. we asked for different soup and he said ok and brought us the same soup. horrible. disappointing. read more
