The security guard greeted us pleasantly and asked us to generate a ticket from the machine. We got our ticket and sat down and waited perhaps 15 minutes for our number to be called. I noticed that several people entered after us without a mask and the guard was very polite to them and provided them with masks. The representative who assisted was professional and was able to help. We were told that the Social Security card we were requesting would arrive within two weeks and were given a document to verify we had submitted the application. I was very impressed with the professionalism of everyone there. We were in and out in less than a half of an hour. However, we noticed as we left that the crowd in the waiting room was growing.

Then you hit the first option 2, to talk to someone. Then 0 if you want the next available person. Then instead of any regular business and just being in a queue, if no one is available they tell you no one is available and just hang up on you. WTF is the point of that? So you have to keep going thru this circular motion of calling back in listening to the messages, prompts, then they hang up on you again. Over and Over. If you do know the person you are looking for, you dial their extension and leave a message. And guess what? They NEVER call you back. 2-3 weeks and they can't call you back? Complete cluster f. This is y people hate the govt. Run by morons.

I'm on the fence about this company and will have to update this review as things progress…read more Years ago I worked at a company that was taken over by another company. At the time of the takeover, I cashed out my 401(k) because there was not much in it. Taxes were taken out of the check and I received a 1099-R from State Street. Fast forward to this year and the IRS sends me a letter saying that my measly little check was reported to them as a hefty check and that I owed them a bunch of money for taxes. HUH? I call my old employer (who was awesome!) and they tell me I have to contact the retiree services directly. That's where State Street comes in. I called State Street and the first operator takes the information, places me on hold for a little wait and comes back to tell me she has no record of the company and there's nothing she can do for me. SAY WHAT??? There's no way I'm paying the IRS a bunch of cash for your mistake. I call back, explain this to another operator (Susan Davenport) and she diligently tried to help me figure out what's going on and who to direct me to that will resolve this mystery. Where's Scooby Doo Mystery Incorporated when you need them? Hey, if something weird is gonna happen, it's gonna happen to me (and then I write a funny play about it)!! How exciting!! Stay tuned for updates. I'm sure the mystery will be solved (and the monster in the rubber mask will turn out to be my old boss. *smile*). Turns out that the department that once handled our account is no longer in existence, but there is a group that has taken over those accounts. Douglas was on the ball and sorted out the whole mess. For some reason, my cash was in two separate accounts. They sent two checks - one to my mailing address and one to an old address. I got the little check, but not the big one. Because the account is so old, I have to jump through some hoops to update address, get a password, stop payment on the old check and issue a new one, but the great news is there's a huge check out there with my name on it!!

I started working on my taxes and like usual State Street Services did not send me a 1099-R. I…read morelooked everywhere on who to call. I did not get one last year either and hard to remember how I did get it. I did reach a man and he said on a recorded line to call your former employer. I went back to the former employer and tried to sign in but now the password which I wrote down did not work. The end I locked myself out of the tool to get my 1099-R and it will be a week before they can reset it by sending me a new pin. You would think the IRS would buckle down on these companies when it is the law for them to mail these 1099-R's and they are not. If you make a mistake, I am sure they won't be so nice to you.

I wouldn't want to be in that area without a direct line to 911. I could understand T-Mobile Sidekicks, but REALLY! And they have no storage for cellphones -- I had to walk all the way back to Forest Hills and convince a convenience store clerk to hold it behind the counter. Even "The Price is Right" studios in Los Angeles holds onto your phones if you bring them into complex! The metal detectors were first-rate, and the x-ray machine was extremely accurate, but I would have preferred some of the people taking a second stroll through the machines. :( The court clerk was very pleasant, and dismissed my parking ticket within 30 seconds. I better NOT have to go here again.

I decided these hard working guys deserve a little praise. All politics, general city wide crime…read morestatistics and rap song lyrics aside these are some hard working sons of bitches (at least in the Dudley station), and no I am not a copy myself. I've had to call in a few 911 things over the last few months and these guys were at my location in no time at all. This really makes me feel safe. I live in a 'up and coming' area, that means the prices are sky high but you could still get shived on your way home. We have had several community meetings with area police representatives and they have been very serious about enforcing public safety in my area. My favorite 911 one scenario was about a week ago when my wife was walking the dog and she walked right past a hooker (well, she certainly looked like one at least - could have been a tranny hooker - who knows - doesn't matter) doing umm indecent and very disgusting (and slurpy sounding) things to a rather overweight gentleman in a dark car with its stereo blaring in a parking spot next to our house. She got geeked, called the cops and they were there literally in about 3 minutes. I didnt peep my head out the door long enough to hear the explanation but i'm sure it was comedy gold. Anyways, thank you, and merry x-mas coppers - keep it up and i will bake you some crack pipe-shaped holiday cookies. And to that ho's pimp, I ain't no snitch - she was in a handicap spot.

The following occurred on Sept. 29th, 2026…read more Zero stars if I could. Avoid this police station, B-2 Roxbury, if you need actual public servants; their incompetence and laziness explain the high crime in Roxbury. When the local precinct went MIA regarding local drug distribution, I contacted the neighboring Roxbury Drug Unit. Instead of a detective, I got "Zion," an officer who bragged he was the best man for the job because he binge-watched the TV show Cops. During a 32-minute call, Zion dismissed my local insights and tried to manipulate me into doing all the work because he didn't want to do a proper stakeout. He also blamed me, saying I didn't give him any times the subject is most active, even though I said the subject's active during all hours of the day and night, not just at certain times. I also had to tell him his controlled-buy idea probably wouldn't work because the subject doesn't know him. Zion wanted me to act as an unprotected field asset, texting license plates to his personal cell phone while keeping our communication hidden from his own precinct to prevent "leaks." Sounded like he wanted to use me and then take all the credit in the end. He refused to provide his full name and bypassed official informant safety protocols. When I countered with a safer plan that put the stakeout grunt work back on the police, Zion insulted my intelligence and contradicted his own safety claims. He double-talked by saying he wanted to keep me safe and do all the work, but then immediately said he wanted me to spot plate numbers by myself. I don't know how he graduated from the academy, honestly. Something's seriously wrong when the officers themselves sound as sketchy as the criminals. Management was even worse. The front desk officer, "Almayda," gatekept the supervisors, claiming I didn't necessarily have the right to speak with a Sergeant. When I finally reached Lieutenant Hester, he defended the lack of identification, minimized a severe apartment-building safety issue as "annoying visitors," said tenants have the right to have visitors over, and gave the "too busy" excuse. He told me to just call 911, knowing they never arrive in time. The Roxbury station is a lazy, rude, off-the-books operation where leadership condones misconduct. I have bypassed this entire clown show and taken my evidence straight to the city-wide drug unit and OPAT. * Pros: None. * Cons: Unprofessional double-talk, lazy leadership, and a staff that substitutes reality TV and manipulation for by-the-books law enforcement.
