hi, so this is my second time that I've been to Maureen and Lola to get my hair done. Both times I was there they were knowledgeable in my texture hair and gave me some great education. They got me in and out in a timely manner and works very well as a team. They are both very friendly and took good care of me. They are accommodating to individual needs and the pricing is reasonable. The location is great. There's a lot of things around the area and the chairs were comfortable. They did a really great job, scrubbing my scalp for the wash and they do not rush through the work they take their time to really do the job properly. they both are very skilled and bonus that they can work with all hair textures. To me that is the definition of a true stylist, somebody that can handle all kinds of clients. They also have a great product lines that are nontoxic and high-quality. In my line of work, I make sure that I can offer a wide array of solutions or interventions for all of my patients. I work very hard and don't have much time to myself so it is refreshing and reassuring to know that you're in good hands. I will definitely be going back soon! read more

I do not recommend this hair studio. The stylist did not deliver the high-quality hairstyles she promised or promoted. She ruined my sister's prom hair, and she charged over $500, including extensions. Despite the poor service, she did not take any accountability. The service felt rushed, and when I asked her to fix the hairstyle, my concerns were not properly addressed. Overall, this studio feels like a scam for your money. Based on my experience, I will never recommend this place to anyone. Marlene failed to provide the service we expected. read more

Marlene burned off my hair so bad its taken me two years to grow it back.. Every time I went for a touch up my hair got more and more damaged. At first I waited two to three months for a bleach touch up and she told me it was getting damaged because I was waiting too long for a touch up. The following appointment was made after only 4 weeks and that was the last time I ever went back to her back she over processed my hair so bad left me on the chair for over 1 and half hours my hair completely burned off. I cried so much and she said well you wanted to be blonde so. Very unprofessional and doesn't care about your hair health. She as the professional should know how to bleach without overlapping on the already processed hair and more so recommend a different option to avoid this type of situation. My friend also stopped coming here when she did the same to her hair. Terrible decision coming to her. Girls please save your hair and do not let her bleach your hair! It may look good the first time but the following times your hair will be more and more damaged. read more

My review is based on an experience that took place almost two years ago. I had been so upset that it's not until now that I can write my review. I made an appointment for hair and makeup. Marlene asked for a deposit to secure the appointment. I arrived early thinking she would do my hair and makeup. She never mentioned it would be her assistant. Marlene was working on other lady, so I sat on the makeup chair and hoped for the best. I explained to the young assistant that I do not wear a lot of makeup and wanted something soft. She had me close my eyes while she worked on my eye makeup. When I opened my eyes, I could not believe it. I seriously looked like a clown with tons of makeup and thick, black eyebrows. I asked if that was the way she was planning to leave me? Marlene came over, saw me, and asked her to take some off. By the time she finished, Marlene had all of 10 minutes to do my hair because I had to leave to my brother's wedding. The updo was something any ordinary person could have done. It was evident Marlene knew the service and the results were below standards, yet she had not problem charging $260 for a horrible hair and makeup job. I made it to my brother's wedding and was so embarrassed, but had no time to make any adjustments. It wasn't until after the mass and pictures, that I was able to wash my face and re-apply makeup myself. The hair updo came undone by the middle of dinner. I had an expectation to look special for my brother's wedding, and instead, I can not even look at myself in the pictures. Needless to say, I have not and will never return. read more
