This new place had been on my list to try in midtown crossing since it opened. We went off peak so was very easy to get seated and find parking. The menu is pretty extensive with many different kebab and platter options. Unfortauntely when we went, they were out of the falafel but we were able to try the koobideh and chicken kebab. Each comes with a variety of sides- we picked rice and roasted vegetables. Would have liked a bit more seasoning on the meat and I found the portions to be more on the smaller side. I stopped in for lunch with my family on a Saturday. The place was quite slow and can't help blame the street car construction. Such a mess. The gentleman that served us was very friendly, efficient and helpful. They are very good at accommodating gluten free which my wife needs. The atmosphere is quite cozy and pleasant. I am a huge fan of hummus and babaganoush and they did not disappoint. Overall the food was great, though my lamb shish kebab felt a little over cooked. I prefer mine more on the medium rare side. I was so excited to try Mazza! The inside was really gorgeous, they did a great job with it. Our server really went above and beyond, he explained the entire menu to us, which was actually so helpful! He also joked around with it and was a great time to be around! We started with the Mazza Trio, which we all really enjoyed- especially the naan! I also ordered a Mojito. They didn't have a drink menu yet, but said they could make anything and honestly, this was the best dang Mojito I have ever had, so fresh and flavorful and just the right sweetness!! I got the Lamb Koobideh Kebab, which I enjoyed. I didn't think it was the most exciting or flavorful meal, but it was a good, filling meal nonetheless. I can't complain. I would love to come back and try more things on the menu, especially with them being such a new restaurant! I'm excited to see how they grow and what they'll add to the menu in the future! read more

We stopped by Mazza for dinner on a Wednesday night, and were seated right away. The place is beautiful! Just a lovely, classy ambiance throughout. We ordered a little bit of everything. These are my thoughts on the veggie options I sampled. Their Falafel was easily the best I've had anywhere. It is often a hit-or-miss dish, you never know if it will be made in house or from frozen, or if it will still be warm when it gets to table. These were not only hot and fresh, but so, so flavorful. Loved it. The hummus was silly smooth and delicious, and served with some nice pita bread. No notes. The Shirazi salad was so, so flavorful and refreshing with light citrus notes in the dressing. It is definitely not first date material if you're at all worried about getting very finely chopped greens stuck in your teeth. Worth it, though. The French fries were piping hot, but could maybe have used a little bit more salt. This is a Coke establishment, and they have Coke Zero. It's the little things, you know? Amazing new addition to the Midtown Crossing area, which desperately needed a new restaurant! Our server went through every single item on the menu and explained in detail which item was, which was SUPER helpful for all 3 of us! I ended up with Falafel & Sambooseh and we split the Mazza Trio! The Mazza trio was amazing, I loved all 3, the baba Ghanoush was my favorite out of the 3! My falafel outshined at the table, we all through it was the best falafel we have had ever, and the star of the night! They do validate parking at either garage, so bring your ticket! We started with babaganoush and falafel appetizers. Excellent. Opened for a week, is this Middle Eastern restaurant with koobideh, kebab, falafels, veggies, apps, soups and more. . I got lamb koobideh which is ground lamb mixed with spices and shaped on a skewer and then grilled. I love lamb. The dish is straightforward served with rice, bread, grilled veggies and a slightly spicy house made red sauce. Love the sauce, and wished I could have this everyday! . The appetizer trio is hummus, labneh - a buttery yogurt dip, and babaganoush eggplant dip. The trio is served with warm pita bread. I love this app, and it is appropriate to share at a table of 4. . This is a nice space, keeping the space shape as former Sofra (my fave breakfast joint) and former Grey Plume (my fave dinner joint). The Mazza space is familiar to me, and I feel quite comfortable here. The bathroom is also the same, quite clean and nice. Note, for the ladies room, lights are on motion sensors in the different sections. Each stall and sink area are on different sensors. So just move your arms around and the light will come back on. . As always, there is free 3 hr validated parking in both Midtown Garages. This is a big YES for me because parking is so easy and plentiful. . Lastly during the "trolley" construction, it is a little difficult to drive around this area, causing low foot traffic. But, all businesses including restaurants are open. Show Midtown Crossing and the small business owners some love. Super easy, all parking garages are easy and plentiful places to park, and parking 3 hrs is always free with validation! read more

At first, we wondered if that was a bad sign--but it turned out to be anything but. The food was phenomenal. The Baba Ghanoush was hands-down the best I've ever tasted, and the chicken shish kebab was so incredibly tender I was tempted to order extra just to take home. If you're planning a visit, I highly recommend the Mazza Trio--it includes Hummus, Labneh, and Baba Ghanoush, all served with generous portions of warm pita bread. Visited Mazza on opening night, so expected some hiccups along the way. Husband and I both eat vegan, so I called ahead of time and was told we could get the kebabs with falafel, even though it's not on the menu. When our meals came out, neither one was warm at all. We figured they would want to know, and asked if they could just be microwaved. Initial offer was to not charge us for our meal but we were expected to eat the cold ones that were placed in front of us. Eventually brought out some fresh falafel, but no fresh rice or veggies. The naan is a thicker bread than usual, which was supposed to be warm also, but was not. We did get the Sambooseh Sabzijaat appetizer ahead of time that was hot and very tasty! They ended up not charging us for our whole meal, which included the appetizer and a glass of wine, even though we offered to at least pay for those.
