    Hummus and babaganoush
    Josh N.

I stopped in for lunch with my family on a Saturday. The place was quite slow and can't help blame the street car construction. Such a mess. The gentleman that served us was very friendly, efficient and helpful. They are very good at accommodating gluten free which my wife needs. The atmosphere is quite cozy and pleasant. I am a huge fan of hummus and babaganoush and they did not disappoint. Overall the food was great, though my lamb shish kebab felt a little over cooked. I prefer mine more on the medium rare side. I hope to be back and recommend stopping in if you get a chance.

I was so excited to try Mazza! The inside was really gorgeous, they did a great job with it. Our server really went above and beyond, he explained the entire menu to us, which was actually so helpful! He also joked around with it and was a great time to be around! We started with the Mazza Trio, which we all really enjoyed- especially the naan! I also ordered a Mojito. They didn't have a drink menu yet, but said they could make anything and honestly, this was the best dang Mojito I have ever had, so fresh and flavorful and just the right sweetness!! I got the Lamb Koobideh Kebab, which I enjoyed. I didn't think it was the most exciting or flavorful meal, but it was a good, filling meal nonetheless. I can't complain. I would love to come back and try more things on the menu, especially with them being such a new restaurant! I'm excited to see how they grow and what they'll add to the menu in the future!

Tried a variety of all the things at Mazza and enjoyed all the tasty tidbits. Though I will say that I have forgotten to go back for a couple months now and it's probably worth another trip. Our server was very enthusiastic about describing and recommending all kinds of menu items for first time diners. Enjoyed!

Excellent service! The waiter was very attentive. And the food was delicious! So fresh and filling. It was a more upscale venue than I realized, but I think we were dressed okay for a Monday night. I would definitely dress a bit nicer to go here on a Friday or Saturday.

Amazing new addition to the Midtown Crossing area, which desperately needed a new restaurant! Our server went through every single item on the menu and explained in detail which item was, which was SUPER helpful for all 3 of us! I ended up with Falafel & Sambooseh and we split the Mazza Trio! The Mazza trio was amazing, I loved all 3, the baba Ghanoush was my favorite out of the 3! My falafel outshined at the table, we all through it was the best falafel we have had ever, and the star of the night! They do validate parking at either garage, so bring your ticket! Prices are very fair, will definitely be back!

LOVED IT!!! Our waiter Juan was amazing and did a great job of explaining menu and The Feast we ordered. Lovely decorated and upscale decor that was very inviting. We started with babaganoush and falafel appetizers. Excellent. Then we had the feast which is a sample of each of their meat entrees which was fabulous and a great opportunity to try new and old favorites. Juan recommended an excellent Sauvignon blanc to go with our meal too. Will be back.

Opened for a week, is this Middle Eastern restaurant with koobideh, kebab, falafels, veggies, apps, soups and more. . I got lamb koobideh which is ground lamb mixed with spices and shaped on a skewer and then grilled. I love lamb. The dish is straightforward served with rice, bread, grilled veggies and a slightly spicy house made red sauce. Love the sauce, and wished I could have this everyday! . The appetizer trio is hummus, labneh - a buttery yogurt dip, and babaganoush eggplant dip. The trio is served with warm pita bread. I love this app, and it is appropriate to share at a table of 4. . This is a nice space, keeping the space shape as former Sofra (my fave breakfast joint) and former Grey Plume (my fave dinner joint). The Mazza space is familiar to me, and I feel quite comfortable here. The bathroom is also the same, quite clean and nice. Note, for the ladies room, lights are on motion sensors in the different sections. Each stall and sink area are on different sensors. So just move your arms around and the light will come back on. . As always, there is free 3 hr validated parking in both Midtown Garages. This is a big YES for me because parking is so easy and plentiful. . Lastly during the "trolley" construction, it is a little difficult to drive around this area, causing low foot traffic. But, all businesses including restaurants are open. Show Midtown Crossing and the small business owners some love. Super easy, all parking garages are easy and plentiful places to park, and parking 3 hrs is always free with validation!

In town for a few days and I'm always on the hunt for great Mediterranean food. Came across this place as it was near my hotel in midtown. Great find! Loved the Beef Koobideh, very flavorful and tasty. I didn't want the full order of hummus as it was just me, so they were nice enough to give a swap and charged me for fries. All in All, I'd be back every week if I lived here. Chec

Flavors were good. I expected a little bit more out of this place but honestly for being Middle Eastern food in Nebraska it was very good. There were no other guests when we went for dinner at 5:30 on a Friday night. Our server asked us if we wanted wine but didn't have a wine menu and didn't know what wines were available. Both the beef and chicken were flavored well. The salads were fresh and the dips were flavorful, but very oily.

First time time here and absolutely love it!! Didn't know what to expect but heard from a friend and I'm blown away. Not only was the food amazing but the ambiance is great and the staff is extremely kind and helpful. I'm looking forward to more menu items soon including that dessert!!

Came back to Omaha to celebrate a good friend's birthday. Mazza was the perfect spot for our birthday group. Amazing food! We tried the Mazza Feast which had all the types of kebabs. Every single one of the kebabs was delicious and very savory! Highly recommend the place.

We started with the appetizer sampler and it was amazing! It has everything you want and things you didn't know you needed! The hummus and tabbouleh are wonderful but the stars of the plate are the pita and the beet salad for me. The beets are in a creamy dressing and just so craveable. The hummus is nice and smooth, the tabbouleh has so much herb and is so fresh. I only wished for a bit more lemon. The baba ganoush was really good but was a bit over smoky so a little bit at a time was good. The cucumber dip was amazing as well. We then proceeded to the main event - salads, fries, and falafel. Caesar (entree size only) and side dinner salad with a sherry vinaigrette were nice but nothing special. Then the French fries and falafels... fresh and hot!!! Crispy! Fluffy!! And when we broke into the falafels, we were so excited to see GREEN!!! They had HERBS inside!! And the tahini sauce on the side was so delicious. I want that for my salad dressing AND dipping sauce for the fries (although the cucumber dip is amazing on them too!) so much food for two girls so many boxes were needed. It was closing time therefore dessert was togo- baklava. Large triangle. Very delicious. We sat at the bar and I believe we were served by the Lady of the House (Owner). She was incredibly welcoming and we had a joyful conversation about kids and good foods. Oh... did I mention they offer Armenian wine? Yup. Red was my choice and although it was a little sweet, it went well with all the flavors of our meal. Maybe next time I'll try the white....

Service was great and very clean.

I was clearly wrong, there is a such thing as a perfect sambusa. The bread was thin enough to taste it, but not so bready that the bread was the star. The meat was chopped steak not ground meat and the sambusa was stuffed full, 4 of them is a whole meal. And the filling was full of flavor, layers of flavor, it alone is a reason to eat there. Also the kebab was served with a perfectly dressed fresh tomato, red onion and cucumber salad and the pilav was served with a perfectly dressed lettuce, red onion and tomato salad. The Pilay was pretty good, the meat was a bit dry, but the flavors in the rice was on point and the garbanzo beans were creamy and flavorful, not slightly sandy and garbanzos can be. They definitely did not come from a can. That kebab, whew THAT KEBAB, was off the chain and they served it with a red sauce that seemed simple but flavorful with a little kick, I think I ate more bread than anything because I was dipping my bread in that red sauce. The service was friendly and the decor was comfortable and welcoming and colorful. I will definitely be back. And it was affordable, 2 entrees, a side, order of bread and green tea was $47 before tip.

The interior is very colorful and welcoming, with greens, reds, and yellows, the colors of the Afghan flag, which was very cool. Our server was a young man (we think he was possibly the owner's son), and he was professional and efficient in taking our orders and keeping our drinks filled. Our group tried many dishes and each one was flavorful and came as a generous serving. We started with the potato bolani, which was a soft and fluffy naan type bread filled with potato and served with a lassi type dip and a chutney - it was also perfect to go with any of the meat dishes we tried. We also had the Mantu to start - a tasty little dish of succulent lamb dumplings, with a savory and sweet topping of beans and yogurt. Very interesting flavor profile for sure. Another dish we tried was the Chicken Biryani which came atop some flavorful rice. The chicken was dark meat, which I'm not usually a fan of, but it worked in this case. It was also topped with a lot of onions and an egg, which I wasn't a fan of, so just did not eat those parts. One of us had the Chicken Breast Cube Kebabs which came as little cubes atop the rice, with a hefty helping of a red sauce/marinade that had a little bit of heat. Needed another lassi to cool down after this one! Another tried the Lamb Kabob which is an absolute classic and you can't go wrong ordering that. We shared a few desserts to try: -Baklava/Baghlawa, which can be found in many cultures (Greek, Turkish), so I'm sure many have had this dessert. Nuts, dough, honey, yum. -Sheer Peera, which was described as a "milky fudge" and tasted very nutty but with a slightly floral flavor added in. Overall, I'd say this is a great place to try Afghan cuisine. It's not fine dining or anything, and definitely be prepared for some spicy flavors - but it's for sure a place to try a few new things!
