wow i guess Im not the only one who knows the service sucks here. Starting off we had to pay $5 for the valet parking...retarted. Second of all the waitor didnt even offer us drinks We had to order them after the entree. AND our meal took forever they brought the apps & dinner out at the same time? Really yummy quality food they just need more waitors because the restaurant was nearly empty and it took a while to be served. Our valet guy didnt even have the respect to pull out my car from its parking spot. All they cared about was the 5 bucks. shishtawook entree is amazing I must say. Thats the only thing Ill give them credit for. after we got our dinner, nobody came back to ask us if we needed anything, nothing. Right of the gate, we had to pay upfront for Valet which I was ok with then came along their service. No greetings at all when we enter and pointed towards the end to sit. Server was late menus, drinks, food and hookah. You name it, they were late with everything. Mind you it wasn't busy at all while 10-12 people in there. Food was cold, hookah was below average leads me to one, exit right away. Oh and then there was the valet guy left for the night doing half work even though he gladly took the money ahead of time. DO NOT GO HERE. We waited 30 minutes before getting menus. Servers just kept walking by and not acknowledging our presence. When the food came it was cold and SOGGY. The hookahs were falling apart. The pipe broke on one of them. Then once it was time to pay the owner argued with us over automated gratuity on the bill. WORST experience ever. the problem with this place is the valet. i don't like people driving my car let alone paying someone 5$ to drive my car.

Food is ok. Service is awful, we came on a Friday afternoon there were only three tables outside & the inside was empty. Waited an hour for sandwiches & when they arrived they were cold. Terrible Service! I went there with my friends to relax, chill, eat, and enjoy hookah. We waited 40 minutes to be seated. I didn't even get a chance to order while i asked twice to be served. They charged me 15 dollars to sit there and breathe with rude waiters and a rude manager. Not a good place to be honestly. read more

This restaurant in itself, is quite possibly the best that I, and my accompanying parties, have ever been to. The place is an experience that I recommend to anyone looking for a good time. Hi I was there on saturday night and when I say the place was hot it was hot but the service was 3stars but the only thing wrong with the place is the hostess or manager I dont know what she is but she thinks she is like omg the hottest thing in the world she is very rude and I asked for my check I gave them cc and waited 20 min because she was too busy on her phone and sitting with her friends like every time I go there I food wasn't the best 2 stars because of representation but taste was not no where near what food should taste like when you order a mixed grill the best thing in my mix was the rice but the hookah was awesome and valet there is pretty cool read more

This place USED to be okay. First off they increased they're prices dramatically sorry but your not overlooking the Hudson to be sporting these prices. I'm not paying $18 for a basic hookah. Menu said $13 but whatever. Fries with sandwiches are soggy not a fan. Stopped giving garlic sauce fine. No muhamara dip ok. All we ordered were one hookah three drinks one salad and two sandwiches and somehow I'm paying $92!!!! for a light early bite on a Sunday night that wasn't even busy. This is where I completely lose it. We were charged 20% gratuity on a waiter who dissapeared after giving us a dirty look the first time he dropped the food which was after 25 mins of waiting for basic meals. This is bizarre and outrageous. Our waiter legit dissapeared but was ensured a full 20% tip. Never even saw him again. In what world does that happen. Sorry but if you feel too entitled to be a waiter maybe it's not the job for you. I'm so done with these paterson holes in the wall that offer nothing but crumby food and horrible service. It's really also unprofessional when waiters are seen hanging at tables with "friends" or constantly on their phones with total disregard for paying customers. Seriously stay away. read more

I give this place a big fat zero star. Sooo disorganized and staff very rude except for 1 or 2 who tried to help. Had a party of 35 plus and the place wasn't even set up. I had set this reservation a month prior and reconnected with the manager (roula) 2 days prior to the event to go over the menu and details. I was just pacified with "don't worry it will be a beautiful party and we will take care of everything" when I got there the tables was barely set up, no utensils, plates etc. we had to keep chasing the staff for basic things we needed and when we finally got them we had to chase them again for other basic things like plates. What a horrible experience. This place was still very expensive and not even close to worth what we paid. A big rip off. I should have done my party at a similar restaurant that I was originally going to do but changed my mind last minute- BIG Mistake!!! Please do not even think of hosting a party more than 2 at this restaurant or you will be very disappointed. Don't say I didn't warn. read more

Went there for the first time yesterday with my best friend. We were really excited because we always pass that place when we're in South P. It looks really nice and we expected it to be a good experience. The service was so bad. The waitress only came to our table once. The hookah and tea arrived quickly but weren't very good. We even told her we will order dessert after but she never came back. We noticed some staff walking around pouring tea for other guests and serving them but no one waited on us. Half the staff was behind a semi-clear door smoking hookah. Eventually we got fed up and decided to have dessert at Nablus. It took so long to get the check or even find a waiter. Eventually the valet guy noticed me from OUTSIDE and came in to ask me if I needed anything. He brought us the check. Then the waitress came back. She was angry. We asked her to bring us change and when she got back with it she found us standing and looking at the other part of the restaurant. She literally said to us, "I'm over here. Not over there." We were still going to tip her but after that we decided to give her half of the tip to the valet guy too. Never going back unless I receive news that there is new management. HORRIBLE! Not even worth a star. Came here with my fiancé for the first time. Looks like a nice place & has outdoor seating. But the service was the worst I've ever experienced in my life. By the way, $5 valet parking only so be prepared to park somewhere sketchy and walk if you'd rather not pay. Host asked if we wanted menus. No thanks, I'll just predict what you have to offer. (??) Server approached us at a distance like we had the cooties and didn't even greet us. I asked if they had cappuccino and he looked at me like I was out of my mind before he said "no" with an unwarranted attitude. Then I asked for tea with milk (being the Egyptian that I am) and again! He raised his eyebrows this time like what I was ordering was unheard of?! Moving on, I asked about one of the hookah flavors. Turns out they only had the 10 cheapest, crappiest quality of flavors out of approximately 25 listed on their menu. We ordered mango, or tar, not sure. Serious let down. Hookah guy was nice, as were some of the other staff members, but our server dropped the tea off and couldn't be bothered for the next hour and a half. Didn't even glance over at our table to see if we needed anything. Finally got another server's attention to ask for the check. It seems he relayed the message. 15 mins later that server came back to politely make sure we received the check... We didn't. Waited another 5 minutes... The host came over to ask what we ordered because it was never entered in their system! How do you run a business like this? Honestly? Finally received our check as the hookah guy came by with new coals... A little too late for that. Im usually a 20% tipper, but this guy was definitely getting a big fat $0. To my dismay, I couldn't stick it to him because an automatic gratuity was already included. Maybe that's why he walked around not giving a crap with a sense of entitlement. When he finally came back after processing my credit card, he made no eye contact, tossed the check onto to the table, and walked away. No thank you, no have a great evening, no sorry for being a complete douchebag. I couldn't believe it and couldn't wait to get home to write this. We didn't even try their food, I'm not even curious, and you couldn't pay me to go back. If you're looking to waste your time and test your patience on a place that doesn't care about their customers as much as they care about collecting the check after your unwelcomed stay, then this is definitely the place for you. read more

This Restaurant is an absolute disappointment. The service is the worst ever. It is such a shame because the food is really out of this world very fresh and Delicious. It starts with the hostess who is more interested to socialize with her friends then professionally seating customers. It took the waiter a long time to take our order. it didn't take long for the food to come which is great, but we had no utensil is and napkins and we asked the waiter for that, it took him again a while to come back with knives but no forks and napkins, he eventually came with the rest. We also asked for hookah before we ordered the food, we finally got the hookah after numerous times reminding the waiter. After we got the hookah the hookah men came just once to do the hookah and never showed up again. 2 of the staff members had an argument and started cursing in Arabic in front of customers, veer unprofessional. This is not the first time we came to the restaurant and had bad service. You expect a lot more from this restaurant My husband and me decided to never go back again unless it is under a new management. Again the food is very excellent and that is such a shame. read more

Now where do I start with this place. Valet, Food, Service, Racist? The environment here is relaxing and calm which I liked. But they make it difficult for anyone to want to come back. Charging for valet in your 5 car parking lot? Really? The food is good but if you aren't one of their people/religion whatever you want to call it they aren't fair on the portions. I ordered wings and witnessed someone next to me order they same thing, keep in mind everything is one size, the person next to me had double the portion as me. They pick and choose who gets what, shouldn't it be all the same? Service, once again, if you aren't one of their people or arrive in a fancy car, forget about it. I went once in the winter time and they refused to put the portable standing heaters by us, instead they left it by one of "their people" who didn't even want the heater. Who ever is running this place needs to get it together and take a class in diversity. You are located in Paterson, NJ, a city extremely diversified. You need to be prepared for all types of races, people, religions, colors, etc to walk into your business and need to LEARN how to service them all EXACTLY the same. read more
