Be careful there is a hidden 20% service charge. I was not informed about this fee anywhere before ordering it wasn't on the menu, not on signage, and no one mentioned it. It only showed up on the receipt after the order was placed. That's not transparency, that's misleading pricing. I don't mind paying for service, but customers should be told upfront. Don't be in a rush type mindset this is a chill and wait home/humble kinda vibe with a back area for sheesha/hookah food/tea and I was able to watch the ufc fights. The front area is an updated casual eating area if u don't want to be around the sheesha/hookah or to go that has been recently remodeled. The rice in the family platter wasn't that good, the chicken was indeed a little bit dry. The shawarma and others were nice so we're the lamb chops. This was a birthday that I will never forget. I have so many good things to say. Where do I start? Let's start off by talking about the awesome service I got from our waitress whose name was Sylvia. I hope I got that right. Someone gave her a raise. She was so awesome with us and really took care of us. She even knew a little bit of Arabic and she knew a lot of Spanish. And those are the languages the people at the table spoke. She made is so comfortable and happy. She also did a great job of suggesting what we should order and she even customize it by putting all of our orders on one big tree or platter. The order looks so beautiful. I would definitely come here again. You get a great mix of good food and awesome night life. I love this food and I can eat it all day. This is a nice restaurant/ hookah lounge in Paterson that I greatly enjoyed due to the most amazing service and yummy food. I visited based on my friend's recommendation and I was not disappointed. I got chicken shawarma and French fries and they all tasted good. My favorite, the seasoning in the French fries, I couldn't stop eating. The hookah was good, it didn't burnt out quickly and the flavor was strong. The waiter was very prompt in changing the coals when needed. The waiter was awesome, always prompt to response to any questions or orders, gave us his opinion on the menu options and the food came out quickly. We went there for a quick snack of Falafel. The place is a bona fide hookah bar so other customers were smoking inside, too. That was strange sight to see in a while. The falafel was toasted from the outside and made in a think flatbread like an egg roll. It was smaller than a Falafel in a pita would be but contained some marinated vegetables, falafel and salad. Standard Lebanese fare. We got the hummus, babaganoush, foul , kibbeh balls, mixed grill with rice and beef shawarma with fries. The hummus was the right consistency, garnished with chickpeas in olive oil and sumac but had a heavy tahini aftertaste. The babaganoush was fresh and you could smell the smoky flavor. The beans in the foul were cooked well to the point they were almost melting to the touch and were generously coated with extra virgin olive oil. It was our first time tasting kibbeh so we had no reference point to compare but the meat filling was flavorful with strong tastes of cinnamon and onion and it was piping hot. The rice that came with the mixed grill was very tasty and a bright yellow from turmeric. The mixed grill was okay as we could not taste much seasoning in the meat. The beef shawarma was a disappointment as the bread was not holding the meat together. Also, the meat was not well seasoned and did not have a char from being cooked on a spit. The fries had a dusting of seasoning on them and we wished there was more of it as it was very tasty. The toum (garlic sauce) came with the shawarma and kibbeh and tasted on point. All the dishes were packed and presented very well. The staff does not always wear masks and be prepared to wait a while for your order. We tried to order muhammara but the lady taking the order was confused about it even though we showed her a picture from the website. Also, they open at 12:00 pm for lunch and not 11:00 am as the Google listing suggests. read more

The only issue we had with the food was the garlic sauce did not taste traditional ( probably a different style that we never had before ). They have some good platter combinations as well and dinner / hookah seating separate which was good. The only issue was parking ( parking in Paterson can be difficult - so you may have to drive around a little bit until you find a decent spot but be sure to read the signs ).
