    Cedars Combo

Another one of my go-tos in Northern New Jersey. Highly recommend this place for any occasion whether it be a party, get together or just a quick dinner. Cedars is a BYOB location with amazing hookah, amazing service and amazing food. It can be quiet during the day but very lively at night. I tend to get a table in the sunroom area as there is always a nice breeze and not as loud as inside. Everything about this place is great. French fries are always amazing, hookahs always lit and food is always delicious. They will help put your alcoholic beverages in ice buckets to keep it cold and will also provide shot glasses/ glass cups for hard alcohol. Cedars Combo: four different dips accompanied with a side of pita. All dips are very refreshing and packed with flavor. Fries: crispy, flavorful and never a disappointment Cedars Mixed grill: combo with filet mignon, kufta (ground beef) and chicken skewers on a pita with a side of rice or french fries. Make sure you ask for EXTRA garlic sauce Hookah: watermelon mint is always my go to

Absolutely amazing!! Up from North Carolina, my big brother told me he was taking out to Lebanese for lunch. What an experience!! We had a blast smoking the blueberry mist hookah and the food was TO DIE FOR!! I let him order because he was in the know!! We started with a tabbouleh salad and then an appetizer plate of hummus, baba ghanouj, muhamara and labneh with pita. The best was a frozen, fresh, mint lemonade!! Be still my beating heart!! My brother ordered a mixed grill plate with shrimp, chicken, lamb chop, beef and kufta. Combine all these flavors and items together and it was heaven. We topped it off with a dessert for two and a Lebanese coffee!! What an experience. Lots of leftovers and no need need to have dinner tonight!! All thanks to my big bro!!

Cedars is always a fun time! We had a girls night here on a Saturday night. We made reservations for 9p and the music started at 10:30. There were two singers and a belly dancer. The food is always delicious here. Your ticket includes cold appetizers, hot appetizers, meat platter, and dessert. It is BYOB and you can also buy hookah.

Ordered: Saturday Prix Fixe Menu (~$75/person + 20% gratuity): includes cold appetizers such as hummus, baba ghanouj, taboule, and kibbe neyeh; hot appetizers such as kibbeh, borak, spicy potato, and sujok; entrees including chicken and kufta kabab with rice Watermelon with Mint Hookah (~$34) Lemonade with Mint Pitcher (~$18) Aya's take: Cedars puts on great events on Fridays and Saturdays. We came by on a Saturday to celebrate a birthday. On Saturdays, they have live Arabic singers & a belly dancer. The food menu is set, so all you have to do is come and have a good time. You're honestly paying for the live entertainment because the food itself is good but definitely doesn't justify the price. Between the Prix Fixe, and any hookah or drinks you order, you're easily at $100+ per person. Nonetheless, being Lebanese, Cedars is authentic, super fun, and very accommodating of all party sizes.

This is the second time I have been here and really enjoyed both experiences. Inside there was plenty of seating and they allow hookah inside. The waiter tended to us immediately and recommended I get the lamb chops which were delicious. The lamb was perfectly cooked and flavorful. It came with seasoned pita, rice, and a roasted tomato. This dish really was good. As I type this review I am making plans to return... seriously. The hookah was also good. They bring a large hookah which is perfect for bigger groups since the charcoal does not burn the tobacco as quickly as smaller ones do. They bring more than enough tips and have a variety of flavors to choose from. If you want good food give this place a try. Note: they also have an outdoor area which is heated and is livelier than the inside if you want a more eventful experience. Inside is more intimate. I'll definitely be back.

The food was absolutely amazing! Growing up close with a Lebanese family and this was one of the restaurants they suggested. It did not disappoint. For an app we got the hummus as pictured and the Lebanese sausages which I highly recommend. The flavor of the sausages was so authentic. For a meal I got the mixed grill which came with kefta (my favorite) steak and grilled chicken. I can not wait to go back. they also have a nice outdoor seating where you can enjoy hookah.

One of my clients wanted to get food from this location. The order was called in and I added on the chicken shish kabaob sandwich. When I arrived I walked in and waited a bit for the lady to come ring me up. When she did I paid and left. When I ate the sandwich was ok. I wasn't feeling some of the ingredients inside and picked them out. All in all I had an ok experience.

I came here a couple of months ago with a group of my girlfriends, and it was such a friendly experience. They accommodated all of our seating requests (we asked to switch tables about 3 times!). They also did a great job with respect to our food orders (they ensured we did not order TOO much food for the table or too LITTLE food). My favorite food item was by far the dip platter. I am quite sure I devoured the majority of it. I actually enjoyed that this was a BYOB atmosphere- because we were able to bring a bunch of our own bottles, and got to drink what we wanted, and the price we were willing to pay! No watered down drinks here! I really would love to return as soon as possible. I am excited to see what this place is like in a sort of "post-covid" era that we are now in.

    Branzino is always perfect

This is by far my favorite Lebanese restaurant in NJ. The branzino is always made perfectly. That lemon garlic sauce they make here is different from any other I've tried. I literally come here for the fish and the sauce. They do it perfectly. Service is always great and so is the ambiance, especially outdoors in the summer. You'll love it

I love Cedars! I have been coming here for about 3 years now. The service is awesome. They're always very attentive. The food is really great. The sweet chicken is delicious and so is the calamari. I love that it's BYOB & they have the best hookah around!

4-16-22 we came back for Good Friday. We got the fried whiting and the brazino. We really love the fried whiting - they were delicious. We got them with fries. The service was excellent as it was before 7pm, and there were very few customer. Anyway, we would love to come back for more fried whiting fish. Excellent food, good atmosphere, and good service! We went on Easter Sunday and it was packed. We had 11 people in our party and we packed into two small tables. It was crowded and we barely had any space to move around. There was no music or entertainment on this day. However, the lighting was pretty and it was organized. We got package number two for $35 per person which includes hummus, Baba ghanouj, kibbeh neyah, tabouleh, kibbeh, Borak, makanik, spicy tomato, kufta, shish tawook, and rice. The food was very delicious. We especially loved the kibbeh neyah, spicy tomato, kufta and shish tawook. We also got blue mist hookah, which was okay. Overall, we really like the place and we will most definitely come back with family.

    It's BYOB!

What are some of the hookah prices?

I believe when I was there this past weekend, the host said they have an Arabic singer/dancer performing

Do the belly dancers only perform on weekends?

Belly dancers perform Friday's 10:30pm and Saturdays After 11:30pm inside. Enjoy!

Do they serve non tobacco hookah there?

If I am not mistaken they use Al fakher so the answer would be no but I could be wrong

Is it normal to charge a gratuity fee for a party of 4 because I always thought it was 6?

First off, we couldn't even find the place. When we finally did, the front was completely blacked out and the security guard had on a bulletproof vest... sketchy. But we went in anyway. The first floor had a weird smell, so we went upstairs. The vibe was better up there, and the host was really nice. The decor was totally on theme, very Cowboy Carter. The brunch menu looked decent, but weirdly we couldn't order any appetizers just the brunch entrees. Kinda annoying, but whatever. We got the shrimp and grits, and the chicken and waffles (served on a skewer). Oh and we had to pay right when we ordered. Like... why? That was definitely a red flag. But surprisingly, the food was actually so good. As for drinks, I got something with rum and it was solid. My partner ordered the $30 mimosa pitcher, and it was mostly juice way too sweet. Definitely not worth it. The food is 11/10, but not my everyday go to spot!!! Try it out and let me know your thoughts

The artist was very creative in his all her drawings. I have posted pictures. It gave me an idea of what to place on my walls once I have opened my lounge. For the art alone A-1 star. Compliments to the artist. The coals on my hookahs was perfect sized. 1 * for that as well. I honestly prefer them the size that they were because it burns longer however because it burns longer does not mean that the customer should be abandoned. I felt I was left and forgotten about because after I'd say 10 minutes maybe more depending on how often I pulled the coal became dim and small. It is important to keep up with the customers so that you can have fresh coals on the burner. I don't know what it is about this part of Jersey but I'm cool with it I'm cool with anybody transforming a portion of their home into a business area and that it appeared to be. It appeared to be a person's basement opened up for business for hookahs. What I did not like was the seating arrangement it was very crowded Once you walk inside because the seating was not organized properly it was cluttered in that area. Branching off to the left was more open space but it was not attractive to the eye other than the art on the wall. A dimly lit area however compliments for placing more light on flooring so that no one is injured due to the flooring being unleveled. The furniture specifically the couches when not attractive although they were not torn or worn down it it did not bring a sex appeal to the lounge. However the gentleman who served us quite sexy if I'm allowed to say that. Nonetheless the place itself could use an improvement. The hookahs and that was the reason mainly why I went was on point it was smooth no problem with pulling no problem with smoke no problem at all. I ordered a mint and upon the first pull it was taste along with the fruity flavor that helped the compliment the hookah. I don't know if I can order them to go but I will find out next time. I won't be back to Lounge but if I can order to go I certainly will compliments to you guys.
