    Hot chili bajji
    Shantala A.

*This review is just for their Hot Mirchi Bajji* My hunt for the best chili bajji ends here. Grocery shopping at Mayuri is never complete without getting a plate of their hot chili Bajji to-go. It's convenient to order at the kiosk, do my shopping while it's being prepared and pick it up on my way out. It's made to order, so very fresh and really spicy It comes with lots of chutney and pickled onions. It's more of a cafe than a bakery. They have a huge menu of chaat, appetizers, mains. A very small seating area and Indian flavored cakes. Cannot vouch for the other items, though. But, if you are a mirchi bajji lover, you know where to go!

    Paneer Paratha

A decent enough place to have the Indian food, especially the Indian street food. The spring rolls are good. The sweet and spicy sauce served along with it is great. The paneer paratha was more like a naan stuffed with paneer bhurji but it won't disappoint you. Worth recommending is the masala chai here. It's probably one of the best in the entire greater Seattle region. The service is pretty quick despite the continuous footfall. Nothing to mention about Ambience. It's a quick eat and go place so can't expect any extravagance there. I am giving this place 3 stars because except the chai, nothing here is a must try. But be rest assured that it will cater to any of your Indian food cravings. Also, it is much less americanised as compared to many other Indian places in Greater Seattle.

Convenient spot to grab some Indian sweets, snacks and biriyani. Many people seem to order biryani and snacks to eat at their booth-style tables. Self-service spot. it was pretty busy on a Tuesday night ~5pm. Like all other Indian sweets, these are extremely sweet. They have a huge selection of over 20 Indian sweets. Most are ~$16 a pound. Which is roughly $2-4 a piece. It's fun being able to sample a variety of sweets. Only downside is that they don't seem to be very fresh. This time I went, I got their snacks: Samoas. It was in a hot case, so it had a nice and crispy exterior with a warm interior. The potato and pea filling was good, but definitely needed a bit more flavor.

Got the vijayawada chicken dry appetizer which was really good! Would recommend getting this.

We are regulars at Mayuri Bakery, and we have had some good experiences and some not so good experiences. We usually go to Mayuri when I want puffs, either Chicken puff or Egg puff. We have also had chaat's, dosa's, etc. The chaat's have been okay, I usually go for Dahi Sev Puri, Papdi Chaat, and Pav Bhaji. We like their Vijayawada Chicken.

Mayuri! Oh dear, Mayuri! Why? Why did you do this to your most loyal customer? I'm someone who argues with people when they say that the food here is average. I ordered my usual- paneer 65 and veg biryani today around 3.30 pm. What I was given was stale/old rice and the quantity for far less than what you usually give. The paneer 65 biryani was basically veg biryani with lackluster paneer thrown in. Not the usual big, juicy chunks. The rice was broken and not the long grain ones. Similarly the veg biryani had the rice that was identical to the paneer 65 one. Generally paneer 65 biryani has Indo-Chinese kinda flavor. This time it was just veg biryani with paneer. The yogurt was sour and something just didn't seem right with the taste. Similarly saalan had ginger pieces?!? Did you change your chef? Were you having an off day? Please bring back the original taste to your Biryanis.

We came here for quick evening indian snacks at this place. We ordered 4 samosas and also end up ordering steamed momos. The quality of Samosa was good and quality of Momos where average. Though have good seating space for a snacks corner - so we can sit with our kids there, which I liked. Also, one more thing which I really loved of this place - was the variation of snacks menu they have their, never saw this variety across 5 states I lived.

Don't be fooled by the name, it's not just a bakery, they have a full menu for entrees that you can use the tables to dine in or order to go. My client highly recommend this place, he stated that his dad is extremely picky since he is Indian and usually isn't pleased with restaurant's Indian food, but his dad requested to come back after trying it out because he was impressed. That's a good sign! He told me that he would have never found this place if he wasn't in the area to randomly stubble into here and to ignore the reviews because it's all from non-Indian people complaining about service and not the actual food. It's legit, all the clientele are Indian. I actually get my massage in the same parking lot and just rolled down the bottom of the hill to try out this place since I was also in the area. I've never tried goat before, but I was convince to try the goat biryani. For some weird reason, instead of a quick 15 minutes drive home, there was a 40 minute traffic because of all the construction and road closures, but good thing the food was so flavorful that it held up well. I was so hungry from selling the food the whole ride back, wow it's strong. The portion is huge, it's made for 2 people or something, I made 3 meals out of it all for only $15. I think they also own the Mayuri grocery store that's right next door also. Tell me about your experience if you've been here or is going to after reading this review:)

    Vijayawada Chicken Biryani
    Derrick D.

Ordered chicken lollipop which was very hard and felt like a Chinese chicken fry attempt, other dishes were Chicken 65 biryani and Vijaywada chicken biryani both which were very hot even for average spice level. Taste was okay but spice was too hot!

    Chicken biryani with 0 flavor

Not worth 1 star even . Chicken biryani didn't have any flavor. Hardly any chicken pieces. Poor rice quality and food Overall all the food we ordered was tasteless..

Stopped by Mayuri Bakery on a whim. It's an order-at-the-counter type of establishment. While it is a bakery with cases of sweets, they also have a full menu of Indian food on the wall behind the counter. You seat yourself after ordering and you pick up your own food at the counter. They don't seem to wipe down tables between customers, so the place feels a bit dingy. We did the chicken thali, biryani, and chaat samosa. The thali was fine but not great, with the butter chicken being the most flavorful. My partner says the biryani was okay. We shared the chaat samosa, which I liked but my partner did not. We also sampled a variety of desserts, some I liked, some I did not, but that was more of a flavor preference (nothing was wrong with it). At a later date we ordered dosas to go - they didn't fill one of the dosas, so we basically paid for an empty folded piece of bread. It's not my favorite place but if I was hungry and it was nearby, I'd likely give it another shot.

A container of rice and small serving of Korma is all we got for 40.00 via Uber eats. Our other dish was not included.
    Kevin C.

We ordered Uber eats from this place last night . We paid for 40.00 worth of food and only received half of our order and what we got was ridiculously small portion wise. We filed a complaint but typically no one takes ownership when you get food delivered. Mayuri operates as Vegan Indian Village also, but often the dishes are vegetarian with milk. So be careful there. I'd say the overall reviews are negative of this place whether you dine in or order Uber eats. I'd recommend people stay away.

Didn't want to clean tables as we came in.

Seattle-Area Boba Shop Review #80…read more After a poor boba experience at the Capitol Hill location, I wasn't expecting much out of Meetea Cafe in Redmond. Still, since this is the only non-chain boba shop in Redmond, and I was in the area for an event, I decided to give it a chance. The menu at this location is a bit different, since it doesn't allow tea selection for the milk tea at the kiosk. There are two kiosks even though I doubt this place gets too busy, given that it was just after lunch at 1PM on a Sunday, and there was only one other party inside. Boba Milk Tea, 30% Sweet, 50% Ice w/ Boba ($6.75) - The milk tea is a very pleasing almost orangish color that's actually quite a fragrant, tasting more similar to a Ceylon than an Assam that most other boba shops use. There's a caramelized milky sweetness to the drink, like they use pure condensed milk as a sweetener. It all combines together to give vaguely Hong Kong-style milk tea notes. At 30% sweet, it's pleasingly only slightly sweet, much better than the harsh sweetness at 50% from the other location. Note this drink comes with boba by default, but I wasn't paying attention and ended up adding additional boba (adds 75 cents). At least, I think there was an additional order in the cup, given that it seemed to be a larger amount of boba than is usual. The boba is surprisingly pretty good. While the pearls are smooth, not that sweet, and are a bit inconsistent in size, they have a surprisingly good bounce and the chew is quite good, albeit a tiny bit on the firm side. Overall much better than what I received on Capitol Hill. Milk Tea Rating: 4/5 Boba Rating: 4.5/5 I was really surprised at the quality of the drink I received at this Meetea location. Perhaps this is why she was really stingy with my toppings, but I don't think I was in the wrong... The sago is nice though. For those who don't know sago are tiny, clear, somewhat chewy balls of starch (mouthfeel sort of like the little rice balls in tapioca pudding), and much smaller than the typical tapioca boba. I probably wouldn't get either drink again, but next time I might try the mango pomelo sago or just a regular milk tea with boba.

If you're craving some bingsoo, make the trek to Bellevue if possible. This store is shared with Xi'an Noodles with a shared restroom and wifi available. Located in the Belgate plaza, there is plenty of parking. Mixed Berry Bingsoo - my favorite bingsoo because the berries are packed with flavor, sweet, and enhance the dessert. With a mix of sweetness, tartness, and acidity, the bingsoo has balance and the contrast actually helps each flavor shine. The berry juices even add flavor to the bingsoo below (and there are berries at the bottom). The only mediocre aspect is the whipped cream on top which is just whatever. Taro Bingsoo - the menu has alternated between ube ice cream and taro ice cream but I think it's always been taro ice cream because it's not overly sweet. Red bean is also sweet but after devouring the toppings (including the ice cream), the bingsoo itself doesn't offer much. It's sweet shaved milk with condensed milk but the taro flavor isn't as potent.
