A new great place in Troy to spend some time. It's an old theater that has been remodeled to a bar and entertainment area. It's tastefully done with a mix of old remnants of the theater and new construction. We didn't eat but only had drinks and looked around. Service was friendly and quick. We liked everything about this place and we will certainly be back! read more

Back for a second visit, this time for the Theater with live entertainment. Great atmosphere, fast service and good entertainment. We thotoughly enjoyed the evening. This place is definitely at the top of the list for us when we want a night out in Troy. If you want a full meal, there are other places but for an all around great time for as long as you want to stay, The Mayflower will meet your needs. read more

One star because zero stars is not an option. The business needs to take down the pictures of their food on YELP, as these pictures are no longer reflective of what is being served. Very dishonest! All of these photos are old and from when the Mayflower restaurant was under the original ownership. Don't use these pictures to determine your patronage or you will be highly disappointed. I wish I had taken a photo of my "meal" and posted it alongside what is being advertised as the "same" dish now. This place has apparently changed owners/operators/managers (and obviously the chef) recently. I am writing this on April 4th, 2025. Prior to this visit, I have patronized the "old" Mayflower restaurant several times. Each and every time it was an all-around great experience. The last time I was here was the day after Thanksgiving 2024. The Mayflower used to be a classy, relaxed atmosphere, with a loungy and fun ambience that matched the obvious effort that went in to renovating and decorating the building. The food and drinks used to be delicious, good quality, well-plated/ presented, reasonably priced and worth the money and effort to go out. The only thing that has stayed the same (for the most part) is the actual physical decor. We only stayed out of sheer and undeserved courtesy. I wanted to leave immediately on arrival due being "greeted" by music that was worse than Taylor swift on meth. This horrible "pop" music and other songs reminiscent of old buzzing light bulbs and psychological thriller movie shower scene soundtracks played at a loud volume throughout our meal. We had to ask for the popcorn, twice. The wait staff are now wearing short-sleeved black T- shirts, baseball hats and the bartender was observed running her hands through her hair continuously. Needless to say, the lemons did not go in my water glass. Water was the beverage of the night because once our "meals" were brought out, all confidence in anything on the menu being worthwhile immediately faded with an almost audible "wah waaaaaaaaaaa". Cesear salads consisting of what had to be packaged, pre-chopped "chips" of romaine lettuce that were so small (dime to nickel-sized), sogged in dressing and covered with enough cheese for a pizza were brought to the table. No black pepper was offered. Add a bland, unseasoned and watery chicken "breast" for an additional $10 (which was actually only four, 2-inch pre-sliced pieces, not a whole breast. The entire thing reminded me of pre-made, store-bought cole slaw and was inedible. As previously stated, our meal was accompanied by music that got progressively more trashy and just as tasteless as the food with two songs in a row featuring THE "F" BOMB as the main lyric... over and over again. Who wants to listen to THAT? Who wants to pay to have to talk over such loudly played nonsense while trying to enjoy a meal? I'm at a restaurant, not a club or a concert. As we waited for the staff to "find change for a $20" at 5:30 pm on a Friday night (not a good sign), we were serenaded by yet another rap song with an auto-toned "rapper" telling his "hoe" how much he loves her. I'm not kidding. I'm not making any of this up. We were subsequently "checked on" by the other 2 employees visible in the bar seating area. I don't know, maybe our untouched food, drinking only water in a "fancy" bar and our looks of utter dismay tipped them off. Maybe they were over attentive because there were only 4 people in the lounge / bar searing area, us and a couple at the bar. No, we definitely didn't want anything else, thank you. Oh, except my change... Yes, I DO want my change. Don't EVER ask me if I "want" my change. This is a sure-fire way to guarantee that you will receive the smallest tip possible, without being overly punishing. I'd rather put a shiny penny on the table. If I am all set with the bill, I will tell YOU that. We finally did relay our astonished disappointment to the second person who came to check on us, who apologized for "not knowing where the cash bag was because it was only her third day" . Apparently she was the manager??? No comp. No nothing. She said she would "pass the information on". I passed on to her that this establishment will not survive if this is the direction they are heading. The vibe feels like how I would imagine a low to mid class strip joint that also serves food... minus the dancers. What an odd choice of direction. Do the new owners think they are in LA or Las Vegas instead of Troy Ohio? Even the nice establishments in big cities have class. What an incredibly unfortunate thing. The Mayflower used to be such a nice spot to go and it was great to have a nice and innovative dining establishment in Troy. So sad... The Mayflower has sunk and is dead at sea. Don't go here. Or... go here and then wish you had gone to Old Scratch for pizza (and listened to me) instead. read more

Not Worth the Price Went to Dueling Pianos which was a total rip-off. No dueling at all as we've seen in other dueling piano shows. Just 2 guys sitting behind 2 old upright pianos who charged the audience $10 or $20 a song to play their requests. Cost $28 a head to get in, ($25 plus tax) then we had to pay them to play. When someone gave them less, say $5, they would play the first few lines then say, "That's enough for $5". They oversold the place BIG TIME. We reserved a table towards the front but due to jamming in other tables we ended towards the back. So much for paying for good seats down front. We had to crawl over other patrons to get out to the restrooms, ect. Poor wait staff suffered horribly trying to get orders to tables. They even put tables in front of the 2 fire exits down in front of the stage. Food & drink prices are VERY upscale. $8 for a beer. Most meals are $25 to $30 each. We bought the bucket of 6 High Noon seltzers for $22, but they only had one flavor, pineapple. But the popcorns free if your waiter can ever crawl over enough people to get to your table. Great looking place. Glad to see that the old movie theater where I watched Roy & Gene shoot a bunch of bad guys has been put to good use. I just think the lame talent, over booking and the high prices will hurt them. read more

Great location and remodel, but remember we are in Troy Ohio. Drinks are good but a lot of items are over priced. Might stop at the window and grab another DORA , but not often. read more

We really wanted to love this place. We were having a special date night. The vibe was amazing and the band was great. However, our reservation was for 7:00 and although we were seated right away no one came to our table to get a drinks order or anything. After 40 minutes we left. It was a shame because I loved the beauty of this cool place. read more

Beautiful renovation and food was great. Be aware they have a limited drink selection of a few beers and wines, and only their specialty cocktails (made with Scott spirits). They do NOT make any other cocktails. read more

Shannon and the entire staff at Mayflower were WONDERFUL! They helped plan and execute the best 30th birthday event for us and everything was perfect. So thankful for all their help and making it such a memorable and fun evening. We will definitely be back! read more

This was the perfect place for our first stop of our girls night out! The management did a phenomenal job reserving the 12 of us a prime table to view the amazing entertainment of the evening. Several ladies in our group enjoyed the mocktails and are excited to order them again as cocktails soon! The food was delicious, and our server was attentive and very friendly. From the moment we walked in the door our experience was amazing. The atmosphere was so unique. Maggie was our server and helped us navigate the drink and food menu. With her recommendations. We enjoyed The Mayflower, Crimson and Clover and espresso martinis along with the slider trio and pickle fries. Then ended or meal with the Tres leche cake! Loved the food and I thought pricing was reasonable! Staff was very welcoming I hope to return to hear some music.

First attempt at seating placed us at an impossibly cold table directly under the vent in the lounge. Even with a wrap, I was unable to tolerate. Fortunately your host staff was happy to relocate in the gallery. A much nicer experience, and got to enjoy the live music. I am also gluten intolerant, and appreciate your efforts to offer Gluten Sensitive options. Would you consider adding corn tortillas to you available options so I could enjoy the fish tacos? Or even use those to make the bbq pork Into a taco? Would be hugely appreciated! read more
