I was sexy in every way, from the decor to the glassware, to the cigar corner. Every inch of the place was a vibe. Go see Manny, the bartender. His service was unmatched. He made me a Coconut Passionfruit Margarita with a Tajin rim. When I tell you that's THE BEST margarita I've ever had, I mean it. The waitress took one of our party's order wrong and he personally came over, made it right, and was our best friend the rest of the night. We got a yummy charcuterie board to soak up some of the alcohol. Highly recommend that too. The last thing I'll say is that even though we missed the live music, they were still playing the artist's music over the speakers. It's great to see them continue to support local talent because I immediately looked up the person and downloaded their music all because the establishment didn't stop supporting him after he stopped singing. It shows how deep they want to grow roots in the community. Love it and I'm absolutely going back.

Looking at the menu I was bit surprised they did not have more signature drinks on the menu, mainly mojitos, but then realized this is a Latin speakeasy, with music playing to match. They also have a full bar so anything you want they can make, The bartender and servers were super nice and friendly, and they worked quick to get all drinks out. They also had some food, that looked delicious, and hope I get the chance to come back to try some. After seating in the lounge/ speakeasy area for a while, we moved to the bar for a last drink. The bartender said Espresso Martinis were her specialty so we order those. She was not lying, one of the best we've had.

There's seating at the bar and a few tables inside, while most of the seating is outside beneath a covered glass awning. The drinks are excellent--some of the best I've had in Orlando. The bartenders are incredibly knowledgeable and true masters of their craft. If the bar is crowded, drinks can take a little while, but they're well worth the wait. I originally found Hanson's while looking for a place to repair a pair of vintage Vietnam combat boots. Instead, I ended up having some of the best drinks of my life. I went to sleep with the boots beneath my pillowcase, and when I woke up, they had somehow been repaired. Perhaps the spirits of the boots were pleased with my drink choices. I had a group of us driving to Orlando for a weekend and we were making good time, so it was perfect to stop short in St Cloud to see what this Black Squirrel Bookstore was all about. I actually let the girls go in and check it out as we had brought our dog. I sat in the car and read a book ironically, why they had some speakeasy fun. well after maybe a half hour i looked up and my gal and another lady were by the car. The other lady said she was the owner and that we could bring our dog Augie inside. It was very kind of her, as it really wasn't expected art such a nice spot. He sat politely under the table, while we enjoyed some fun drinks, a singer that was adding to a nice night. We left after a couple, but for sure will swing by again when we have the time; great spot.

The bookstore itself is a treat, but we were there for the speakeasy. For this you ring the doorbell outside, they come get you and give you a clue to get in. They don't make you do it if you don't want to but, that is part of the fun. We solved it and in we went. Squirrels everywhere, fun signs, chandeliers, books and light, plus beautiful cozy tables and sofa seating, giving this a great speakeasy ambiance. On the corner a piano, and to our surprise a wonderful live jazz singer, who made our experience even better. The owner happened to be there that night and came to welcomes us at our table. Really nice lady, very happy to see people enjoy the place, and she herself was there with friends having a great time. The drinks are fun, and they have a food menu too. Honestly a place I want to come back to and recommend to everyone.
